Most of you are too young to remember how horrible American cars were in the 70s and 80s. Toyota, Honda, and others took advantage. You know what? American auto makers had to respond. That's how the market is supposed to work. I don't care where the car is made or assembled. We have two vehicles now, both American, fwiw. Yep, and they responded. I don't remember if it was JD Power, but a couple of months ago someone came out with their rankings of the most reliable brands/fewest problems with new cars, and it was Hyundai, Kia, and then Ford, Lincoln, Chevy in some order. Hell, Jaguar was a top-10 brand when Ford owned them. Toyota has had a boatload of recalls the last few years, maybe more than any other manufacturer. They are living off of a reputation. Honda has had a lot of issues lately too.
