  1. Those who allow remote are going to get the best people, no question. One thing that's not talked about much is that remote workers are likely healthier than those who come into the office. Not just less exposure to communicable diseases (I haven't had so much as a sniffle since at least 2019), but not having that 30-45-60+ minute commute means being able to sleep in 30-45-60 more minutes or have that much more time for exercise. Not commuting means less exposure to air pollution, noise pollution. Healthier, well-rested workers are more productive.
  2. Just be thankful that none of those guys got to the Cubs.
  3. What I've done is if the recruiter is listed on the job posting on LinkedIn (maybe 25% of the time) I contact the recruiter and let them know I'm looking to move to that city (and on my own dime - relocation is usually not provided). Remote is decreasing, but for companies in high cost-of-living areas (CA, NYC - non-financial companies, etc.) I still see a lot of remote positions.
  4. Correct - if it's Black/Gasser they will need to be added to the 40--man today.
  5. I've never put my address on my resume, but whenever you apply you almost always have to put your address or at least your city/state in the online job application form. I've been in three different industries in the last eight years. My line of work is industry-agnostic.
  6. For in-office roles you have to live where the job is, making it harder. And many companies don't trust that you will move and/or assume you are living where you want to live. I am not. And that is making it harder.
  7. Looks like they released Carpenter and Jonathan Ford to make room. Still have to IR Tenuta to make room for the LS who can't sign until after 4pm Eastern. Practice squad: TE Austin Allen, CB Corey Ballentine, LB Keshawn Banks, WR Grant DuBose, C James Empey, S Innis Gaines, QB Alex McGough, WR Bo Melton, LB Arron Mosby, LB Kenneth Odumegwu, FB Henry Pearson, S Benny Sapp III, DL Chris Slayton, RB Patrick Taylor, T Kadeem Telfort and CB Kiondre Thomas. I wonder if they get a roster exemption for Odumegwu. I'm guessing that if not claimed, Carpenter and Ford come back on the practice squad. Two CB and two S to call up for DB depth, for now. If Carpenter and Ford come back, my guess is two of Mosby/Odumegwu/Banks are gone.
  8. As a full-time job seeker right now, I can tell you that everyone and their brother who are being told to come back into the office are applying for any roles that are still remote. Lots of competition for those, which is making life difficult for those of us who are unemployed.
  9. Yes, they can do that right now because teams have until 4pm Eastern today to sort out any waiver claims. Teams may not yet know if/who/how many waiver claims they are awarded, so they have until 4pm to figure that out because of how many players are on waivers right now.
  10. Wicks could go to IR to make room for Sims. Anderson could replace Carpenter or Leavitt. He's considered more of a hybrid LB/S than true S.
  11. The Packers have been awarded Ben Sims, TE, Baylor, on waivers.
  12. More like replacing a turd sandwich with a turd.
  13. Jets released 7th round TE Zack Kuntz. Rated a perfect 10.00 RAS. I thought he was/is overrated - if he was so good, why did he leave Penn State, and why didn't he go to another good program? But the Packers do like RAS so maybe they give him a little extra guaranteed salary above the practice squad minimum to join their PS. Desmond King released by the Texans. Only 28, played FS and slot, decent PFF grade of 72.3 last year.
  14. Third one blown back in tonight.
  15. Is it too early to predict Cooper DeJean as the Packers 1st round pick next year?
  16. Matt Moore would look really good in the Brewers bullpen. Swap him out for Chafin. Giolito, yeah, of course, especially with Houser hitting IR.
  17. At this point, might as well keep him up so that they don't burn an option year.

  19. Saints also waived TE Lucas Krull. 2022 UDFA out of Pitt, at 6'6", 260 is more athlete than blocker though. Ran a 4.54 40 at Pitt's pro day.
  20. Down to their last strike, I can't get over how quiet that stadium was.
  21. A night full of home runs by the Brewers and errors by the Cubs would be spectacular. It's REAL quiet in that stadium now.
  22. Mitchell? He hasn't even started a rehab assignment yet.
  23. Didn't want this to get buried in an archived IGT, but was there an Air Force fuel tanker and two fighter jets flyover during God Bless America at Sunday's game? I didn't see it on the replay. I was walking from Lion's Tail brewing to Joy Ice Cream in Wauwatosa Sunday mid/late afternoon when I heard something approaching and saw the tanker and fighters fly relatively low just to the east. I met my family for a belated birthday and we got takeout from Rocky Rococco's, took it to Lion's Tail brewing, and then went to Joy Ice Cream. Pizza, beer, ice cream, and an air force flyover for my birthday - that's not bugging me.
  24. One thing to keep in mind is that the 53 they have right after cuts is rarely the 53 they have on gameday week 1. They've historically initially kept the players they felt like they are most likely to lose in waivers, and at times that has made some positions overly deep or thin after cuts (one year didn't they not keep a LS?). It's a little easier sneaking guys on the practice squad after other teams have set their 53. Expect some changes after cuts are made. I think Tenuta and Nichols get IR'd. 50/50 on Wilson; the funny thing about RBs is that expensive RBs aren't valuable, but cheap RBs are.
  25. A writer on another website referred to him as "Sasquatch". I like it.
