  1. Maybe the Cannabis Club Card is like the Subway Sub Club Card, after you buy a certain amount of pot from your dealer you get the next 1/8 ounce free.
  2. The Brewers are 16-9 in July. I think I predicted 15-12 in the July Predictions thread so even if they get swept I should be happy right? Hah... The fact that Dempster is still awesome after 139 innings is pretty sick. Nothing like a career ERA and WHIP of 4.64/1.5 compared to this season of 2.99/1.168
  3. Does it piss anyone else off that Villanueva seems to be a mop up guy? This is the perfect situation for Mota, Zambrano has showed no signs of losing it or anything.
  4. This is like a video game. Seven straight hits? How often has that happened in the major leagues this year.
  5. Wouldn't you think at least a mound visit is in order? Five straight hits.
  6. Zambrano's one of the best pitchers in the National League. Good decision Braun, ugh. Go Braves.
  7. Why have Sheets swing away? You can't get all cute against a really good pitcher, just bunt him over and hope Durham gets a hit.
  8. Or that it reminds Bill Hall that he's not good at facing righties. I'll say the Brewers win 5-3. I hope Sheets can go 6/7 or so innings, otherwise there might be a Mota sighting http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  9. The Brewers were the top story 2 or 3 days in a row last week. The "media darling" Cubs had the best record in baseball for like 2 1/2 months, darn ESPN for spending a lot of time on the team with the best record in baseball!
  10. They're 11-1 so far when I'm there. Off topic, but the Cubs are either 0-5 or 0-6 when I go to Wrigley, though unfortunately I haven't been there since the 2006 season.
  11. Is it possible for anyone to dislike Lance Berkman? I don't think I've ever seen him not talk to/laugh with any runner at first base.
  12. I wish he would save Branyan for when there are guys on base. Wouldn't this be the perfect time for a Counsell pinch hit appearance?
  13. Two big home runs off RHP does not mean Bill Hall has turned it around against them. I hope Branyan starts every game of the Cubs series sans the Lilly start.
  14. His four starts before that were awful, and today's start was awful. He's obviously not a 9 ERA pitcher, but he's not all that close to good either.
  15. I can't wait to hear Yost's response to reporters asking why Suppan was left in all inning. "He's a veteran, he's dealt with adversity, he's gotten out of jams before." McClung, Villanueva, Shouse are all available, and the first two can go multiple innings.
  16. 7 runs, 6 hits in one inning, and he's still in! I know Suppan sucks, but seriously Yost, get him the heck out of there.
  17. Watching Suppan pitch with a lead is just like watching Vargas last year pitch with a lead. You're up three runs, attack the damn hitter, you can't let Pence/Erstad/Ausmus/Wolf beat you.
  18. Soriano three run bomb, simultaneous to Suppan getting shelled, awesome.
  19. Is anyone warming up? If Tejada gets on base here I'd rather Suppan not face Berkman... Apparently "Just now the bullpen starting to get busy" according to Bill. Glad they waited til it was 3-0 on Tejada.
  20. Striking out Ausmus would be nice.
  21. Stealing 3rd with two outs might be my biggest baseball pet peeve. A good throw might've had him there, it just seems so pointless. That strike to Kapler was at least 4-5 inches off the plate, that was terrible.
  22. Jacobs adds a 2-run homer. Hermida and Jacobs have been their offense all weekend.
  23. Wow, nice recovery by Billy there.
  24. Honestly, when was the last time a Milwaukee Brewer was in trouble with the Law? Or one of Bo Ryan's players? Boo Wade choked a girl a few years ago, and an incoming freshman in Ryan's first or second year (something McGee?) got a felony for something, but I don't think anything's really happened since then.
