  1. Get out of the Dome. Don't look back. Hurry! http://www.sxc.hu/pic/m/l/li/linuxgeek/471235_reset_button.jpg
  2. I'll echo crewcrazy: fine, apparently there was some cosmic reason why you had to suck the last two games, but please, not on ESPN.
  3. I didn't notice that before. I only had the song playing in the background while I surfed the web. Now that I've looked again, I know that Prote-J is the only rapper to graduate from an aeronautical university. Thanks, thablingster!
  4. Turns out, it is.
  5. That's the spirit! I guess. Gerut looked reasonably gritty as he drew that 9th inning walk. Maybe that's good for something.
  6. We have two tickets to sell for the Sunday, May 31 game vs. Cincinnati. This is the Trevor Hoffman bobblehead day. The location is TB 417, row 7, seats 10-11. It's the back/top row of the box section. This is a family section, so you would have to enjoy adult beverages elsewhere. Face value is $20 per ticket; we're asking $30 for the pair, which was what we paid for them. The tickets are in Madison; besides the possibility of mailing them, we are going to games on May 25 and 29, thus representing two exchange-in-person opportunities. I'm hoping to find a taker who wants to actually see the game, not just collect extra bobbleheads. Please send me a PM if you are interested. Thanks. (Edit 5/28 - these are now sold.)
  7. I was aware of the Counsell-Donnelly story, and as a result regularly say things like "Come on, Chicken" to myself when Craig Counsell is at bat. However, I did not know that Anibal Sanchez also suffered the loss of a child. That kind of thing is useful to keep in mind when you otherwise want to hate on a player for doing well against your team - helps keep things in perspective. So thanks for sharing, lcbj68c.
  8. I (and I'm sure others) appreciate the post, Unstable.
  9. I admit, I would take good Riske over Julio. Maybe even adequate Riske over Julio.
  10. This is a frivolous reason to bump the thread, but I was right! I was at this game, and I found the stub this evening. Upper Box 19, row 8, seat 12. $10.00. I was hoping I wasn't turning into one of those fans, who claims to have seen every big or unusual moment in person.
  11. You've got that right, Rev. Tip of the cap to TGJ, and best of luck as well.
  12. Mmm....edamame.
  13. Here is a link that briefly explains the difference between various non-meat diets.
  14. Not to be anti-veteran in any way, but I kind of hope they don't sell a ton of this particular cap on Memorial Day. There'll probably be enough red in the park already.
  15. I'm just the messenger.
  16. I don't know...the Brewers are 0-1 since we 'called you up.' http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif (Blue text = sarcasm)
  17. There's Bob and Brian's Donkey Deck, which apparently makes its debut on Tuesday. Unless it existed last year, in which case it must have been low-profile, because I haven't heard of it before. This at least resembles the erstwhile buckethead promotion. Returning to the splash zone, the pre-game Brewers Live on Tuesday spent more time than I would have expected on the making of the splash zone. The Kalahari guy they talked to said that the visual effect of the splash could be achieved with as little as a cup of water. Unless I mis-heard or misunderstood him.
  18. That's OK, Brewtacular; you just had a momentous day . I'm happy to see how many kids of bf.netters will be brought up correctly (baseball-wise, at least). I had to learn it on my own.
  19. My hometown didn't get cable/MTV until the month I left for college, and I didn't have access to a TV that could get more than one station until I was in grad school. Thus, although I am old enough to have been aware of Billy Squier and other music videos, I failed to take an interest in them. Sorry, BCZF.
  20. This doesn't apply precisely to the current win streak, but the S.O. has worn the same t-shirt to Miller Park the last five games, and the Brewers are 5-0 in that stretch. So, look for the Power 50 T-shirt guy in the Dew Deck on Monday.
  21. (I just edited in the correct date) Come on, Brewers. Don't let up!
  22. Congratulations...though I'm sure you know that daughters can grow up to be brew crew fans too. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  23. Perhaps the Brewers could provide disposable ponchos (like the Maid of the Mist at Niagara Falls) to ticket holders who present a stub from the sprayable area. I think the challenge (especially early on) is making ticket holders in that area aware that they might be sprayed. Fans who know to expect it could prepare or make sure they're in the concessions line when the spray comes. The fans you make unhappy are the ones you catch off guard with the spray.
  24. Brooks, you had me (and possibly others) at "You know, honestly, I knew my career was in trouble the minute the Cubs drafted me." We're delighted to have you with us.
  25. This appeared in Madison's Wisconsin State Journal last Friday...and it still applies! http://cdntn.madison.com/images/articles/wsj/2005/12/07/109063.jpg link
