  1. I think Ned keeps all of them as pinch hitters/runners during the stretch run. I don't think any of them will see a start until any playoff seedings are established. Basically, I think they are here just to experience everything and contribute in non-critical situations.
  2. I noticed today that DirecTV has spread the various Big Ten Network stations out a bit on the sports tier. The Badgers were on 610 while another of the early games was on 620.
  3. I think this happened to him last year and he had a strong September. But, here's to hoping it stays tired.
  4. Bikeage, I was figuring on 18 High Lifes and 20 wings!
  5. but 10 cent wings and dollar high lifes are right up my alley, good sauces too!) Now we're talking! Sounds like a fun night for $20. My two favorite things: High Life and wings.
  6. Wow. New stadium and no tailgating. I guess we really are different from everyone else. Blows my mind that there is no spot for tailgating...
  7. Hawing, how about Tex Tubb's on Atwood (?). Not sure if he's a part of the "Food Fight" deal, but it's the best sober burrito I've ever had.
  8. (BLUE) It's all Villy's fault for firing them up.
  9. Oh yeah, I knew it would be wide open and I like that. Seems like I drive for distance, not accuracy, so open works for me.
  10. My review of Bergamont...... --Nice course, but it's still very new and there aren't many trees and such, so it's wide open. --Greens were very fast and all putts seemed to go straight. Every putt that I read a break, it didn't. --Fairways were like carpet. --All holes seemed to be uphill. --Clubhouse is immaculate. --Bring water....beer cart girl didn't show up until after 11 AM despite being told they'd be out earlier. All in all, a very nice place. Very classy. "Kids" come out to meet you at the car to take your bag, everyone calls you sir, etc... Anyhow, I shot 46-46 and would've been better if my fairway irons would've been better. Drives were great and putts were good, but those darn irons.... Have fun.
  11. Ugh, indeed. The store is definitely in the wrong at times, so this can be a legitimate, but if people would just learn to read price tags and signs, many of these delays would be avoided. If something seems too good to be true, match up the code on the price tag, it's real easy.
  12. I really wish I could get Fox Sports Radio, but the reception in Madison just sucks. I usually have a hard time getting it in on my car radio, so the house radio stands no chance. On the same note, I get really bad reception of ESPN Radio as well. When the local station powers down for the day, it's just not very clear (at home), but in the morning when they power back up, it's clear. I live real close to the station, so I'd think that proximity would work in my favor, but not so much. Back to Ross' topic....
  13. Wow, I had no idea there were so many in the area. I only knew of the one in Westgate. I would've never known about West Towne as the mall is just about the last place I ever want to be. Anyway, the store in Westgate had Brewers gear when I was there.
  14. Peavey, is Wisconsin Active at West Towne or Westgate? What's the store in Westgate called? I know they had some Brewers stuff about a month ago.
  15. I think we all probably had "that guy" in our little league. Seemed there was always one pitcher that everyone feared. We had a wild lefty in our league who threw gas--that was scary, because you never knew where the ball was going.
  16. Hey Menotti, I'm golfing at Bergamont tomorrow. Have a work contact who is paying for it on his company's dime! This will be my first round of the summer--how depressing. I'll let you know how it plays. By the way, Friday is supposed to be a fairly nice day.
  17. I don't know that I'd hit State Street looking for tickets--especially for an 11 AM kickoff. I totally agree with patrolling the houses around Camp Randall. They should all be in full tailgate mode by sunrise. The houses on Breese Terrace are a good bet, but surrounding areas near Regent Street are a good bet as well. Worst thing that happens is you don't get a ticket and tailgate all day.
  18. On my way home last night at 10:30, there were 4 boys likely aged between 7 and 10 waiting for a bus near a major intersection here in Madison. All I could think is why are these kids out here waiting for a bus at this time of night?
  19. Really? I didn't know that. I listen to XM Online when I'm outside and always wished that some baseball was available--and now it is. Nice.
  20. Hawing, it's sooo easy. Go back and do it again soon--it's not going away and will likely be expanded. Besides, once you "get it", you'll never go back to regular cashiers. Sounds funny, but there are some stores in Madison I will not shop at simply because they don't have self-checks. I'll go a few miles out of the way to use this feature. Honest.
  21. Whatever happened to just ranking colleges based on party schools?http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif Isn't that usually the real determining factor?
  22. That's right. Forgot about the double. Looking back though, his line that night: 6 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 6K So, he did his job on the hill as well. He'd actually won 5 of 6 coming in against us, so he's been pitching well.
