  1. What time do the lots "officially" open or what time can you get in? We are routinely parked in the Bluemound lot before 4PM. However, I haven't been to a Friday game, but doubt it's any different.
  2. Jamie, I'll keep you in mind...I don't have tickets but I do have opportunities to obtain tickets to most games either through friends with tickets or work connections. I usually turn them down and just go to the tailgate parties. No guarantees, but if I come across some, I'll let you know. Edit-The Illinois game is Homecoming so tickets may be harder to come by.
  3. If I had the night off, I was going to do it. Otherwise, $30 isn't so bad for all I can drink. I never thought I'd get into the Mallards, but I've really enjoyed the handful of games I've attended.
  4. I'm gonna take my daughter (age 6) to her first game soon and I'm expecting lots of wandering around. I'm thinking upper deck, RF by the kids play area--I think it's still up there, right?

  6. He sure was. I'm guessing he's finally feeling confident in his repaired arm.
  7. In his last 4 starts at AAA Rochester his stats are: 28 IP, 17 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 32 K
  8. That phrase is also on all bottles of Robinade lemonade. http://www.robinade.org/
  9. I've followed Liriano closely (fantasy) and everything I've read this year indicates the Twins don't feel they have an open rotation slot for him. In Liriano's defense, he has been on quite a tear over the last month in AAA.
  10. Bergamont was actually on that golf deals website last year. I've heard it is an awesome course.
  11. I see Lawsonia is sold out. I'm sure that one sold out in the first hour this morning. RU-I thought I heard that University Ridge was being lengthened, but I haven't been there in some time. I think Hawk's Ridge was expanding/altering as well. When I played there last year there was a fair amount of construction activity taking place behind one of the greens.
  12. No, and haven't read anything online via the local news sources. I'm sure it will come out soon if it indeed was an athlete.
  13. Right on! Gus quickly became a personal favorite over the past 2 seasons. I watch the NFL game he calls each week.
  14. Also wanted to pass a website along to those of you not in the Madison area. I don't know if they do this in other parts of the state, but every Tuesday morning a new course is featured. The offer is 2-18 hole rounds for $25, but only 100 offers are available each week. Tomorrow morning the featured course is Lawsonia which will probably sell out rather quick. http://mad3-cc.savebigongolf.com/details.php?pid=40869
  15. The Oaks up by the Madison area is pretty nice, along with University Ridge, and Hawk's Landing (Private Course, but they do have some Public times during the week.) I live about 2 miles from University Ridge and Hawks Landing--they are basically next to each other. Played Hawks last year and it's a very nice course with some nice houses along the fairways. I haven't played University in a while and I'd like to get back there soon.
  16. Walk off for Jason Michaels, Pirates win, 12-11.
  17. Glaus HR to lead off 10th. STL leads 11-10.
  18. I turned that on just in time to see the rally--now I've got a game to keep me entertained after the Brewers debacle.
  19. Lost in the amazement of watching the way he makes the ball move is that he was throwing strikes.
  20. Ross wins. I've always kept a soft-sided lunch bag in my trunk that contained tongs, matches, sunblock and utensils. Now that I've read the post by Clueless, I may have to buy a rubbermaid tote and fill it with all of my (those) supplies. Regarding the first post, I've always used my tongs to lift up the grill grate.
  21. Geez, I've had a gift card for over a year that I haven't used--maybe I should look into buying something.
  22. That is great! My friends and I used to have marathon wiffle ball games all summer and we were always trying to come up pitches that moved like that. No one came close to that.
  23. The fact that he had a slight injury should be reason enough to not even consider participating.
  24. Is it just me or do they appear to be smiling/laughing? Edit- Just watched this again and two things stood out: 1. It appears to be a virtually empty stadium. 2. The batter was hit by what appeared to be a lobbed pitch. Think this was a commercial being filmed?
  25. I went to 3 Brewers games awhile back....I sat in the lower level 1B side, lower level LF and right next to the foul pole by the splash landing area.
