  1. The chances of that are very slim. He has value especially if he can repeat his success against lefties in 2017.
  2. It is trades like these that make me realize they will never be able to trade Garza.
  3. The Brewers actually control Susac through at least 2021 and possibly more because they could in theory option him next year and go with Maldonado/Pina.
  4. Was looking back at the last Brewerfan power 50 from July 2011 and saw Arcia was actually #20 back then. Hard to believe that Arcia and Tim Dillard were on the same power 50.
  5. I guess they knew he would get called up in September and wouldn't be sending him back down in 2017. I know JV has indicated he is a SS but he will still be starting at 3B and it was only a matter of time before Arcia was going to replace him. Perez should still start practically every day in in RF and still can play 3B when the other two need an off day. Could impact Arcia's rookie status next year though.
  6. Suter would make sense because of the lefty issue.
  7. So are you saying somebody from MLB released this if the others did not?
  8. I remember going to opening day 1993 and Joe Kmak was the starting catcher. Heard he was a rookie and thought they might have something but he was a 30 year old rookie and hit 218//317/264 during his time here and had his last at bat with the Brewers that July.
  9. It looks like Marcos Diplan had the largest jump going from 19 to 9, thought Woodruff might move up more and is currently sitting at 22. The largest drop belonged to Clint Coulter going from 13 to 29 and Adrian Houser going from 17 to out.
  10. I like top 30 to match MLB, don't think it should be a problem for anyone here to come up with 30 names, especially if there are more prospects coming in after trades this week.
  11. Weeks is starting and hitting fifth, Segura at his usual leadoff spot.
  12. Very well could be right, certainly not selling at peak value. If Jeffress gets traded try Smith at closer in 2017 and see what happens.
  13. Garza for sure but I think it would require a record number of posts.
  14. Going to the game, would be great if Weeks gets the start against Anderson. Should be interesting what kind of reception he receives, hopefully the boo birds stay home. Of course the return of Segura as well.
  15. I keep on hoping that Erceg will be the top flight hitter this system has been looking for.
  16. It is an interest free loan to the state of Wisconsin now. You will get it all back pending what additional income you end up with in Wisconsin. Not sure why they did it that way though.
  17. I would have thought that was crazy a month ago but he has actually looked decent in the outfield especially considering he had no previous time there professionally. The Brewers must have seen something in him to even try the outfield and they gave Santana time there last year so why not. Of course third is rather weak right now.
  18. Carter won't be a FA until after the 2018 season if they decide to go that route.
  19. I'm too young to have seen him play but what is the big deal with him? Unless he was like the best defensive catcher ever, he wasn't better than Lucroy. Definitely wasn't the best by the time he got to the Brewers, seemed to play DH a lot from what I remember when I was young. He was okay with the Brewets, certainly no Lucroy.
  20. That is too bad. I imagine they remove him from the 40 man at some point instead of keeping him there for the next two off seasons.
  21. The Laporta pick was a great pick in the first round as it netted them Sabathia and there first playoff appearance in 26 years. Don't care what he did in the majors.
  22. They are calling up Roberto Perez from his rehab assignment (broken thumb that needed surgery). Ironically, while his D is on par with Gomes, his offense THIS season has been worse than Gomes. He has had a grand 8 at-bats this season. Why even mention it? Guess we should mention his elite .400 OBP% this year. He is up to 10 at bats but picked up another walk. Love the 0/389/0 slash line, the new Colin Walsh. I would take him over Maldonado.
  23. They have a long way to go in rebuilding outfield depth when Victor Roache is the #2 corner outfielder. Really lacking in corner infield as well.
  24. Something for Clancy, Kyle Liesniewski has a nice article at BP Milwaukee on Suter and pitching depth. http://milwaukee.locals.baseballprospectus.com/2016/07/15/suter-and-pitching-depth/
