  1. The Brewers need guys to play outfield so I would think they would have to call up at least somebody. Broxton is done, Braun to paternity soon and I don't know how bad Kirk N is hurt.
  2. I don't know if they really want Wren on the 40 man so it might very well be Brinson for a couple of weeks, or just have Reed up and give him a few starts in CF when Kirk gets a day off.
  3. Torres might have value after the solid year he had. A prospect for prospect deal (Maverick?) also is a possibility if somebody really wants him and the Brewers like what they are getting in return. Maybe a minor deal like Yadiel Rivera. Like Jason Rogers last year sometimes you just get blown away with an offer and don't really see it coming. So if for example some team really likes Corey Knebel even after the season he has had then he could be gone.
  4. Yep, I am glad I didn't have to see that or get it rubbed in my face in the future.
  5. Not really, people leave early no matter the start time.
  6. He pretty much was that last year with the Astros in AA and even when he came to Biloxi then started to hear how he didn't have enough power. Hopefully he can find a happy medium, I think he barely hangs on to a top 100 spot. I am curious if they do start him again in AA next year or bump him up to AAA. Besides that I agree with adambr2's list.
  7. According to the roster guru here he did not spend 20 days in the minors in 2015 when he was sent down so 2016 was actually his first option. Has 2 left.
  8. 12 more at bats (not plate appearances) so maybe this weekend.
  9. I don't really see an extension for anybody right now, do agree that Villar has to show he can do it again next year. An outshout shot of an extension is Chris Carter for two years just so they don't have to deal with arbitration but still doubt it.
  10. To go along with what T plush said, Santana has been pretty horrible in the outfield. We rip on Khris Davis for his defense but Santana is just as bad in a different way. So I would consider first because there still is a hole there pending what they do with Carter and it is another potential way to get Santana at bats.
  11. So you are Eugene?
  12. I guess it depends on your point of view, you think Woodruff has back end of the rotation ceiling and I think he has top of the rotation ceiling.
  13. I would tend to agree with that, still probably too early to address organizational needs as they are still not likely to compete any time soon. When they start competing again they can trade from whatever strengths they have if necessary.
  14. Exactly. There was about a 0% chance that Jeffress was going to get arrested for DWI in Texas if he hadn't been traded. Who knows if he ever put himself in the position to be arrested for DWI in Wisconsin, or if he had, if he would have been caught. I think that is different because as a catcher that comes with the territory as a player. With Jeffress he is a high risk because of his history and past actions outside the baseball field. Some can be explained and he appears remorseful but he continues to put himself into these positions
  15. Probably could impact trade value. We all make mistakes and marijuana isn't a big deal any more but domestic violence and DWI on your record doesn't look real good.
  16. Regarding outrighting of players, they have to be DFA before being outrighted to the minors. I do think that happens to a number of players this off season including Houser, Liriano, Barrios and Nolin. Probably Goforth as well unless Stearns has seen enough of him and just lets him go.
  17. Man when was the last time the Brewers had 3 guys steal 30 in a season? 40? Heck they could have 3 guys steal 50 bases next year(Villar, Broxton, and longer shot Perez). I do remember the 92 Brewers did with Listach/Hamilton/Molitor, don't know if it has been done since then.
  18. Perez is a nice guy to have, can steal bases, hit for some power and plays multiple positions. I could see him still having a decent sized role when this team is good again. Sure beats the Jeff Bianchi's of the past or having a bench guy like Weeks that only played one position. Also, not like Gennett because of position flexibility.
  19. Funny how things can change so quickly, don't see AdvantageSchneider talking about Broxton too much anymore.
  20. I know it wasn't blue but pretty sure that was sarcasm.
  21. I'm not even sure what that is getting at but Yount has had financial issues in the past and his fellow teammates have as well including R. Fingers.
  22. Chris Saenz has to be up there.
  23. I don't think they would want to pay Houser and give him service time.
