  1. The Brewers can pull Peralta back from waivers if he is claimed as well. Kind of a silly rule but if you are a NL Central team maybe you claim him so he stays in the Brewers starting rotation.
  2. Pretty impressive showing by Braun, ahead of name guys like McCutchen, Pence and Stanton. Even with the Cubs vote I think he will pas Heyward but getting in the top three will be mighty difficult.
  3. Neither were Flores, Liriano, Villar, Walsh, Jones. The waiver part of the topic title could probably be deleted but the edge of the roster players and Stearns continuing to find these guys and adding them to the system still stands.
  4. Johnny still has an option for 2017... Besides who is going to replace him... Nottingham is not ready. Doesn't really matter who replaces him on a rebuilding team. However, I will guess Lucroy isn't traded by the All-Star game and represents the Brewers along with Braun. Villar deserves it but I think he gets snubbed.
  5. Yes, and since the Brewers are bad it is kind of hard to say no one else would claim him especially when picking up Ramirez since he goes through the NL teams first.
  6. I guess we do not have to speculate any longer as he has been DFA. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2016/05/brewers-designate-colin-walsh.html
  7. A decision that Stearns will have to make after the season as I doubt they will have room for both on the 40 man. If Stearns does offer Walsh back then that may be good news for Orf.
  8. My picks for now are Goforth and Knebel. I have to give credit to Torres as he has pitched better than I would have ever expected.
  9. Braun is now tied with Cecil Cooper for 3rd in franchise history in runs with 821. He has also moved from 9th to 6th in franchise walks since the start of the season. Is currently 7 hits away from 1,500. Unfortunately for Ryan he is now second in avg. and OPS, contrary to the title of this thread.
  10. The Mets are getting a lot of questions regarding Matt Harvey, offer Lucroy for Harvey straight up.
  11. It has taken a while but Nicky Delmonico at 23 is finally showing signs of life. He was promoted to AAA yesterday after slashing 329/391/658 in AA. Wish his issues could have been worked out while still in the Brewers organization. He has been moved off third and is currently playing first base.
  12. As noted in the previous thread wherever it is, you can watch Bucks and Brewers on Sling now if you are in the area. I used to have cable and Netflix, now I have Sling, Hulu, and Netflix along with two cheap antennas and would never go back. Also have T-Mobile to get MLB premium for free.
  13. I think you might have missed the main point of the article if you still think that was the goal. I know you believe he is doing it the Atros way but I sure hope tanking for five years to get one magical sub 90 win wild card season before going back to sucksville again isn't the plan. If somebody doesn't want the read the article the last sentence pretty much sums it up: Yes, they will use the draft to rebuild, but it’s only one of their tools in a large tool box.
  14. In a span of a month Keon Broxton went from being mocked by Omaha's minor league team to being the starting CF in New York. Hopefully he can get his first hit tonight.
  15. His BB/K at Colorado actually impresses me, would be a decent player if he kept it up in the bigs. I'd preferred 2 walks to every strikeout rather than 2 strikeouts to every walk. What am I missing? I would prefer 4 walks to every strikeout but not realistic. Keon Broxton will never be a superstar or anything but if he could maintain a 1:2 BB/SO ratio he would be a solid player. Guys like Ryan Braun, Alex Gordon and Hunter Pence are not even at 1:2 so why would your expectation of Keon Broxton be 2:1?
  16. No, Carter is worse defensively. Why is the defense of Davis continually brought up when guys he is compared to are just as bad or worse.
  17. His BB/K at Colorado actually impresses me, would be a decent player if he kept it up in the bigs.
  18. Second that, he played Tuesday so could only be retroactive a couple of days. Even if Braun needs a few more days I would rather have Braun in a few more days than missing for 13. Something is going on with Santana and with Braun being day to day I would think Santana is the odd man out one way or the other.
  19. He did address the OPS, OBP is in Santana's favor, Santana hasn't shown he is any better defensively than Davis. Age of course is on Santana's side as well.
  20. Plus two more stolen bases. When I see him play he doesn't seem like he would be a big base stealing threat but has had success in the minors and majors as he is safe around 80% of the time.
  21. Yeah there is pretty much no reason to have a scroll at the bottom anymore for sporting events with smartphones, tablets, etc. Really need to get rid of them.
  22. You can slice it any way you want but you have no inside sources so stop stating it like fact that you know he won't get called up.
  23. I don't really know if they are thinking of Hader but he could still start tonight and then fill a spot Saturday since the Brewers have an off day Monday.
  24. I don't think Hader is on a low pitch count but more a strict pitch count. Has been at 83-89 pitches every game thus far.
  25. Don't care that he didn't touch it I would certainly call it an error.
