  1. Out of the guys you mentioned none could replace Segura so they are kind of stuck there unless they surprise everybody and go with Hector Gomez. Besides Rogers, everybody would have to be added to the 40 man as well. It is unfortunate that none play center but at this point Schafer isn't really providing much of anything so I wouldn't blame them if they replaced him with one of the above.
  2. If Henderson is really ready it wouldn't surprise me if Smith went on the DL with arm fatigue. However, it is odd that Henderson has pitched so rarely so not real optimistic that Henderson is coming back real soon.
  3. With the limited playing time Delmonico saw this year could he be added or is he banned from this?
  4. The acquiring team could just send the guy back down to the minors to make sure he doesn't reach Super 2 status. If Melvin knew he was going to trade Nelson and just left him in the minors anyway because of super 2 then it was a bad move on his part.
  5. Amazingly Gooden for this year as well. They can stop paying him next year though.
  6. Last year got pretty bad, there were shorter and nonexistent in game threads last year.
  7. When the playoffs start teams often go with one less pitcher and one more bench guy because there is no need for a fifth starter. Hart would certainly make the bench better.
  8. Perhaps, but I already gave up my gold package tickets to the Thursday October 2 game against the Vikings because I assume the Brewers will have a playoff game that day/night.
  9. I would rather embrace success than fear the eventual collapse so many fans assume. Keep the magic numbers coming.
  10. Interesting how Milwaukee was mentioned as a destination for Morrison, Hart, Smoak and Morales and none of them really met expectations.
  11. Napoli would be great and they wouldn't have to worry about first in 2015. With that said, I doubt it would happen, I am certainly high on Taylor but would trade him today for Napoli and a shot at the World Series.
  12. I think he would get $10 million from another team but not $14 million from another team so it makes sense for him to pick up the option. Makes sense for the Brewers as they probably don't want to sign somebody to a long term deal so signing Ramirez for $10 million is less risky than the alternative. If Rogers improves defensively he could maybe be the starter in 2015. Could be the backup at first and third at some point in 2015.
  13. I would guess not until the first trade deadline is over.
  14. Rivera is a guy that is down on the prospect lists now and rarely mentioned but I agree that it would be nice to have a cheap in house utility option. There is certainly value in a guy that can play both second and short as well as hit lefties.
  15. at the expense of whose roster spots? neither are on the 40-man at the moment, so who gets bumped? Falu can be taken off again, Bianchi can as well when back from injury if they feel Gomez is the better option. Wouldn't mind Gomez since he can actually back up Segura and has been great un July with a OPS near 1. Who plays center would still be an issue.
  16. Do you think they just shot the scene of Ethan Hawke in a recent game, and used footage from a 2005 game for the field shots? (I have not seen the movie) No, based on how the movie was filmed over a dozen years.
  17. I find first base to be the hardest right now because there will probably be a new first baseman next year and no real good candidates in the minors but I have to put somebody there. Starting pitching is also very difficult assuming no free agent pickups when they tend to pick up a starter in free agency every year. 2015 C - Lucroy 1B- Clark 2B- Gennett 3B- Ramirez SS- Segura LF- Davis CF- Gomez RF- Braun SP1- Lohse SP2- Gallardo SP3- Garza SP4- Peralta SP5- Nelson CL- Smith 2017 C - Lucroy 1B- Delmonico 2B- Gennett 3B- Rogers SS- Segura LF- Davis CF- Gomez RF- Braun SP1- Peralta SP2- Nelson SP3- Thornburg SP4- Garza SP5- Jungman CL- Jeffress 2019 C - Lucroy 1B- Braun 2B- Gennett 3B- Coulter SS- Arcia LF- Davis CF- Taylor RF- Reed SP1- Nelson SP2- Devin Williams SP3- Jungman SP4- Cravy SP5- Wang CL- Magnifico
  18. Correct, this is the fourth year. See you in 2018.
  19. Would also like to add that there were some that wouldn't think he would be an upgrade because he would break down trying to play first every day. I never thought he would be an upgrade for a NL team.
  20. Don't let your opinions cloud the rules however. He would have to be injured again in September if they don't want him on the playoff roster if there is nobody else on the DL at August 31.
  21. I disagree with you here. It would be nice to have Wang on the disabled list on August 31 because that means he for sure will not be on the playoff roster. If he isn't on the disabled list and there is nobody else on the disabled list, bereavement list, suspended list etc. on August 31 then Wang will have to be hurt again and placed on the disabled list again in September. There is no other way around it. Why go through that again if they don't have to?
  22. Now that Wang has been on the active roster for 90 days and it looks highly likely the Brewers will keep him could he be made eligible for the next ranking? I know he will have a year of service time by year end but I think all rule 5 service time should be excluded when it comes to prospect rankings.
  23. Depends what significant is, I wish Jim Henderson from 2013 was on this team.
  24. Would have happened in 2011 with Fielder, Weeks and Braun but Braun had to withdraw due to injury.
