  1. See YuniBomber on twitter quite often.
  2. I thought it was pretty funny that it got locked considering a global modertor started it and posted the most in it.
  3. One thing I think the Brewers are doing good recently is getting cheap relief pitching in their system, either by developing them or signing minor league free agents. They really could have a cheap bullpen next year of Gorzelanny, Henderson, Figaro, Kintzler, Hand, Sanchez, Wooten and Olmstedt. Now maybe they don't all stick but at a time when they need cheap players to offset the well paid players in 2014 it is nice not having a $10 million dollar man in the bullpen.
  4. Yeah, doesn't matter at this point how long it took, you are a grad now. My sister didn't initially go to college because she started a family but ten years later she graduated, we can't all be on the same four year schedule.
  5. I guess I don't mind Lalli on the team and at this point would rather have him than Gonzalez once Hart returns. He provides a Kotsay type lefty bat off the bench and lets them use Maldonado/Lucroy as a pinch hitter when need be. If a better lefty bench guy is availabe at the deadline then Lalli can go but for the time being he is fine where he is.
  6. I think he will have a career similar to Gantner's, certainly good enough to start on teams but not a superstar or anything.
  7. With a couple of off days next week I wonder if they plan on sending Burgos down after the game. Based on the schedule it does not look like he would be needed until May 14th.
  8. He has also driven in 21 in one month. RBI tend to be ignored by many in today's baseball but he has gotten some key hits that have been a big part in them winning the last couple of weeks.
  9. Selig was not the best owner at times but he made sure a new park was built before he sold and hopefully Kohl does the same.
  10. One is greater than a negative number though.
  11. I'll predict another rainout and a 15-12 record.
  12. until corey hart is activated, those two moves would leave the brewers with only one bench player with outfield experience. I guess I don't see it as too much of a problem as Hart could play a couple of innings or even a game if there was an injury. If it is a longer term injury somebody could be called up from AAA.
  13. The time to trade Weeks has already passed, maybe last trading deadline when he was on a hot streak. They are pretty much forced to play him this year, I don't see them taking the risk of starting a rookie second baseman this year unless Weeks gets hurt. Even if a team offered a fringe prospect and were willing to pay his contract I still don't think the Brewers would trade him this year because they want that veteran presence during the playoff stretch run. Next year is a different story though, they may start Gennett and I don't think the Brewers would get too much backlash if they released him in the middle of next season and he was having another poor season, that is what you do with bad players, you release them.
  14. Enjoyed the article but have to disagree on the final statement. I just don't think it is a good idea to open that can of worms and starting ejecting players out of the hall of fame. During the election process writers should have taken that into consideration but he is in now there and there are far worse players in the hall of fame than Perry.
  15. Really, I think it may very well be the worst ever.
  16. ]Mark Rogers pitched the 7th allowing 3 earned runs on 4 hits and 2 walks. Rogers topped out at 90 on the radar gun. That is not very encouraging, I really don't know what they are going to do with him. I certainly don't want him pitching any close games in the majors.
  17. Catching Jenkins in home runs, he is four away. He will also catch Ben Oglivie in hits (7th) and RBI (5th) in the next 40 games or so. Here is a good place to see various Brewers leaders. http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/stats/sortable.jsp?c_id=mil#sortColumn=hr&sectionType=sp&playerType=ALL&statType=hitting&season=2013&season_type=ALL&game_type='R'&elem=%5Bobject+Object%5D&tab_level=child&click_text=Sortable+Player+hitting&league_code='MLB'&page=1&ts=1366980291232
  18. I agree, Weeks should be benched some of the time in favor of Yuni or somebody else, who knows a day off once a while might actually help Weeks. With the injuries Yuni will still have the opportunity to play on a regular basis the next month but I would be real surprised if his hot streak can continue that long. In the meantime they can let it ride with Yuni.
  19. Weeks has been playing bad but is still a better option than Yuni, especially if Weeks is placed in the batting order where Yuni has been. Yuni has no doubt had key hits and driven in lots of runs but that won't continue and he still rarely gets on base.
  20. According the jsonline this is the most rain Milwaukee has received in an April. http://www.jsonline.com/news/milwaukee/aprils-rain-measure-already-is-one-for-the-record-book-cm9mefl-204396631.html However, the weekend forecast is looking real good right now and after this weekend I think we might be able to finally close the 2012-13 winter weather thread.
  21. Good - Braun, Lucroy, Gallardo, Hart, Aoki Bad - Weeks, Either Gonzalez, possibly Axford but he was so cheap when he was dominant that I won't call bad. Jury is still out - Lohse, Ramirez and Gomez. Ramirez obviously outperformed last year but this year and next will determine how good a deal it was.
  22. For those wondering how Josh Stinson is doing he will be starting for the Orioles on Wednesday. He was 1-0 with a .77 ERA in two starts in AAA. http://www.rotoworld.com/recent/mlb/6544/josh-stinson
  23. I think that GIF works even better because he walked twice.
  24. Come on now, telling somebody that the F word is out of bounds is not being the language police. On a positive note thanks for thread Torts as it keeps me entertained in good times and bad.
  25. Weeks would be on the first team all time Brewers lineup but some people here need a dose of reality. He is not the player he once was and likely will never be.
