  1. FYI Sammon never called Quero a third tier prospect. Not sure why OP added that, is a big assumption to make.

  3. I sure hope it isn't Sadzeck, I like him and feel he can help this team this year/next and somebody would claim him if DFA. They should get back to 13 pitchers and get down to 2 catchers.
  4. I believe Hiura would have to wait another day before his 10 days are up. Davis would also have to be DFA instead of optioned if they go that route.
  5. There is a lot of historical data suggesting this isn't the real Michael Taylor but would prefer him over Davis. They have 10 or so more days to acquire a CF, but if they don't I would give a Taylor/Frelick platoon a shot.
  6. I don't agree with the statement that Tellez "performed up to expectations" but he has also been a bit unlucky. Certainly hasn't played at a B+ level but I expect an uptick in the second half. Agree that Peterson should be on here, has played 80 games and probably the most valuable position player of the first half. Hopefully he doesn't disappear like he did last September. Overall the infield has underperformed as a whole but there is reason to believe the second half will be better.
  7. Yeah, he should be mad at the one team that gave him a chance at the major league level. He was never very good and we pretty much knew major regression was coming. He was able to smoke and mirrors his way to a pension.
  8. A bad way to wake up in the morning but would have been brutal getting sleep last night if I actually watched live.
  9. Time for that Garrett Mitchell bandwagon to start filling up again
  10. Until Hobby Milner and his old-timey stories came around I had never seen Brewers fan fiction before.
  11. There are no reports, just people talking and throwing our their ideas.
  12. I'll start the rumor mill and say he is the key piece to a trade. May be the best player in the system that the Brewers would be willing to move for a rental.
  13. A great feeling to wake up the morning after these West Coast games and see the Brewers win.
  14. My guess is they keep Adames at SS for the most part and play Turang at 2B as a strong side of a platoon. Can use Brosseau at second or third against lefties and move Urias around to wherever Brosseau isn't against lefties. Having Turang and Urias should eliminate the need for a Pablo Reyes type guy on the 40 man. Would really consider him over Davis right now.
  15. Don't really think it is no win for Yelich. Fans in general want to like him but overall has not been very good since his injury. If he redevelops himself as a leadoff hitter with a 400 OBP and 800 OPS like he has thus far he will be fine. He is still the most popular player on the team. It's not like he is getting booed at the ballpark.
  16. Agree with you Wallus. If Stearns was blown away with an offer like that I believe Hader would have been gone a year or two ago. Find it hard to believe the Yankees will offer anything close to that.
  17. Kind of reminds me of the Orioles a few years back where it looked like they were kind of competing, made some moves and started to lose again. I'm happy for their fans that they have something to cheer for but may not be so good for them in the long run.
  18. Not going to blame the offense for this one. They need relief help. Gotta has been horrible as of late, Suter has been bad all year and Chi Chi shouldn't be on this team.
  19. Wouldn't be surprised if Hader and Burnes sat it out and Williams replaced one of them.
  20. It is very rare to see Gray in the top 10, I don't know a single one that does. Black on the other hand is top 10 everywhere.
  21. It on BrewCrewBall but Jack Stern has an article on the Brewers offense that they are worse than other teams when facing quality teams. From https://www.brewcrewball.com/2022/7/8/23199831/the-brewers-have-the-worst-above-average-offense-in-baseball The Brewers are one of three teams on the list who have performed over 100 points better in OPS against below-average teams, and they have a 36-point lead over the Marlins, who have a 115-point difference. Not only do the Brewers have the widest discrepancy in their offensive performance based on the quality of their opponent, but they also have the worst OPS on the list against .500-or-better teams. It does also point out what many have said about the pitching being key to the Brewers winning and not necessarily relying on the offense to be top tier. The silver lining is that the Brewers do not have to do much at the plate to beat good teams so long as their run prevention unit continues to do the heavy lifting. A high-quality lineup was never part of the plan for this year’s team. The offense needs to be better, but not by much.
  22. No real surprises except maybe Turang not being talked about at all by the scouts. Chourio, Wiemer, Frelick the most appealing but Brewers may not want to move. Quero(or other catching depth like Feliciano/Reetz/Sibrian), Mendez, Gray mentioned as possible targets by scouts. Veteran players similar to Hummel last year like Mathias, Wes Wilson or even Hiura.
  23. Definitely not, Alexander is a journeyman.and hopefully about done with the Brewers. Thanks for not not being a dumpster fire when they had all of these injuries
  24. Do whatever you want since it is your site but more surprised that none of the moderators said anything. I have been here a long time and they pretty much put the kibosh on anything borderline political no matter the topic.
