  1. Saw Batman last night and enjoyed it quite a bit. It was too long, especially at the end but after getting so many Marvel movies over the last number of years it was nice to have a more grounded, realistic type movie. Batman never has had super powers but it felt like everybody was at risk as they are just humans. Didn't matter if it was Riddler, Catwoman, Penguin, Batman, Alfred, Gordon or anybody in between, there were stakes on the line.
  2. I sure hope they add a 6th guy who has proven something at the big league level. Not sure if it is Strickland but not a lot of faith in the guys(Gott/Gustave/Mejia/Milner/Angel Perdomo/Luis Perdomo/Sanchez/Barker/Lindblom) who would be fighting for the last three spots if they didn't pick up somebody else.
  3. The opportunity is there for Wisconsin to get on a run. They should crush Colgate but the second round could go either way. Really wouldn't surprise me if they lost in the second round or made the Final Four.
  4. Taylor isn't horrible against righties but still better against lefties. Maybe would be McCutchen/Taylor/Renfroe more often than not against lefties and Yelich on bench or DH.
  5. Been hearing for months how impossible it was to franchise tag Adams since the Packers are too much over the cap but the obvious tagging of Adams happened as well.
  6. ROH was a sinking ship without much interest in watching their product can't imagine there is much interest to get ROH on the air now. Maybe they can get some use out of old footage but likely not much value beyond that.
  7. So with the read-react-write mission statement does that mean it will be articles with comments below the article or will there still be a forum?
  8. Well if you are going to get a taste of the majors it isn't going to get much better than being part of the 13 game winning streak. Looking back it is kind of amazing he was a starter during that streak and they didn't lost until game 14. Certainly turned out okay for Ciardi post baseball career.
  9. I was looking at the bottom of the site and noticed the most users ever at 2/5/18. It has been four years now, any chance you could post the original posts from back then in the archives section with the likes of WOAH SOVDD? I know some would like to forget but I think it would be kind of hilarious to read that thread from 2/5/18 and the demands he made that day. Nothing else going around here right now.
  10. Don't kid yourself either, when talking about dirty players in the NBA, Ibaka is always up there.
  11. Gerald Williams wasn't a great Brewer but odd sometimes how when a former Brewers is mentioned it brings back memories. Williams had one of his best games as a Brewer in early April of '97, it was a typical cold Brewers game at County Stadium on a Sunday afternoon but I was young and the cold didn't bother me as much back then. Almost hit for the cycle that day but settled for a leadoff double in the 9th and scoring on walk off single. Glad to hear that he had such a great influence on a HOF player like Jeter.
  12. The women's rumble was fun, the men's was not and filled with a bunch of guys that nobody cares about. It is okay that Brock won but at least make the journey there worthwhile. Many predicted a Rousey win too but they made that entertaining
  13. The Last Duel was better than expected and had some real good performances. However, I didn't like all the different perspectives because I don't think there was enough differentiating perspective to warrant that. The multiple rapes scenes were especially unnecessary.
  14. After watching the playoffs last season my mind tells me a healthy team is more important than regular season wins but some reason I am a little worried they can just turn it on. Would really annoy me if they and the Nets ended up as the 4/5.
  15. It was expected but still silly Bonds wasn't elected. Even more bizarre considering Ortiz elected first ballot.
  16. That is not allowed anymore. If the refs feel multiple fouls were committed to manipulate the game clock then the clock is reset to the previous snap time plus a penalty.
  17. The Packers were fortunate to get the bye and rest some players and now get a nice matchup against the 49ers. Really don't think they will make it a game and it will be something like 34-10.
  18. Wish him best in retirement, his time as a Brewers writer has run its course so time to move on.
  19. I certainly think 49ers at Cowboys has blowout potential as well. Just don't see much in this 49er team.
  20. I wish the Raiders would have not made the 1st down and maybe got 3-4 yards, San Diego calls a time out with say 32 seconds left and it's a 54 yard field goal or so. Would the Raiders kick a field goal and risk giving San Diego great field position or punt the ball away to preserve a tie.
  21. Then the voters who vote for someone else for that reason should be stripped of being a voter. You can't take off the field circumstances into consideration. They don't have to give that reason though, it is pretty easy to vote for Brady without getting much pushback.
  22. Yep, slightly above zero though in case of major injury in the playoffs.
  23. The 49ers are pretty bad, it would be great if the Packers ended up playing them in the playoffs for an easy win. Have no idea why somebody would want to play the Cowboys over them as the Packers likely lose.to them.
  24. It should be a written rule and not an unwritten rule. If not written then nobody has a leg to stand on.
  25. Even Rodgers was plugging the game in his interview last night with FOX, they would be upset if that gets moved. I would be upset too as it is a way to avoid the in laws with the game on.
