  1. yet to surrender a homer, and class aaa hitters have been limited to a .457 ops against him. if there's room on the 40-man, it makes sense to select lindblom's contract. I think you may on to something, but he has been pitching every 5 days, last pitching Sunday so might try him as part of the 6 man rotation. Maybe this weekend.
  2. I can't imagine they would do that with how brutal the back end of the bullpen is. Miler on the other hand..
  3. I think he could have success if the old rules were in place but he really shouldn't be facing right handed hitters.
  4. That person is fine. There are plenty that leave their cart all over the parking lot so if it is left in the stall it is a win and not lazy.
  5. I'm thinking the season ends in major heartbreak but that will wait until the NBA Finals, Bucks win fairly easy in 5 here.
  6. And thus end the longest stint on the 10 day IL ever.
  7. Considering there was talk of Vogelbach being DFA not too long ago, the thought of losing Vogelbach and replacing him with Peterson makes me want to puke.
  8. I wouldn't have believed you if I didn't look myself but yes 200/407/550 is fine as an utility guy since he came back. I can't see him being gone until Lopes and Reyes are sent back down first at the very least and hopefully he can produce in the mean time.
  9. I think the "production away from Coors" thing is a little overblown. DJ Lemahieu certainly did well after leaving Colorado. Arenado has been good. Matt Holliday had some nice years after leaving Colorado. Larry Walker was good for the Cardinals after the Rockies dealt him. That is great if they are perennial All-Stars or borderline HOF players but the list is a lot longer for guys that don't fit that category and are not as productive elsewhere.
  10. I would be leery trading with the Rockies, the price tag probably wouldn't justify the production away from Coors Field.
  11. Arcia was real bad in 2018 and Villar was so bad they traded for Schoop. Of course they played Hernan too much as well but the 2021 team would be great with the 2018 lineup.
  12. Unforunately Jace has been needed a lot lately and has been pretty bad filling in at 2B and OF since his return on June 8 with a 136/296/182 line.
  13. I didn't see it until today but Jose Altuve hit a HR over the weekend that was initially called foul but then replay indicated it was a HR. They didn't have Altuve run the bases, so I guess we get no more Michael Morse pantomime home runs. Also make me think they should stop caring if a runner doesn't touch all of the bases on a HR.
  14. I thought before the series started Brubaker might pitch today so get a break with Crowe. Going to my third game today, all with Houser starting.
  15. Jace strikes out way too much as well but has the uncanny ability to walk at over a 20% rate as a Brewer and in a small sample has been much more productive as a Brewer than his career average. Hopefully the Brewers can let it ride for a while and by the time he reverts to career norms hopefully they found somebody better and he can be DFA.
  16. Looks nice in the box score but Milner is due for some serious regression.
  17. Getting Garcia to be productive certainly has made a huge difference. Can only imagine how bad this offense would be if Garcia was playing like last year. Last year he was 238/333/326 with 2HR and 15 RBI in 181 at bats. This season 251/319/471 with 12 HR and 36 RBI in 191 at bats. May have sacrificed on base a little bit this year but will take it if he ends up slugging closer to 500 than the 300 he was last year.
  18. If they just got a decent right handed first baseman they would be fine because as noted Urias can just play third hopefully in the not too distant future with Jace getting an occasional start. Versus now where one or two of Jace/Robertson/Reyes plus Vogelbach are starting every day. They have to upgrade, don't really have any choice if they want to have success in the playoffs.
  19. Looking forward to that, Gray/Ward/Howell were among the group receiving votes and not in the top 25, Hamilton barely at 24.
  20. He might be better than the current back end but he walks a lot and gives up the HR ball, has always had bad results except for last year. Would pass quite honestly.
  21. I am all for Nottingham starting ahead of Vogelbach/Shaw against lefties but the Brewers have not done so thus far so doubt they start now.
  22. Kind of hard to say because he could be optioned next year as well which could push arbitration back another year but not likely as he started the year at 1.114. If he stayed in the minors the rest of the year they would gain a year of team control but if he stayed in the minors that long I doubt he would be in their future plans.
