    The writers didn't vote Baines in so they don't have to lower the bar to that level. They can't control what special committees do.

    I assumed that was the reason Yount was picked for the 90's with his 3,000 hit and Molitor the 80's for the 39 game hit streak. Molitor's 39 game hit streak was already commemorated in the SSH bobble a couple years ago. You mean to tell me that they are going to give him a second bobblehead for that accomplishment, and they are not going to give Nieves a bobble for the only official no hitter in our team's 50 year history? Their bobble choices are always so willy nilly. They never did finish the racing sausage set #2, left the brat out. I agree it has already been done but just for SSHs. Everybody that wants a regular old 80's Molitor bobble already has one so that is why I figured it had to do with his streak.

    I don't think it is very shocking that a place like Portland had hundreds of people in Bucks gear because the Bucks have Giannis. Fans will wear the gear of a team with a superstar and Giannis is an international superstar. It is unfortunate some of the smaller Wisconsin cities don't care about the Bucks because the Bucks will need fans like this in the non Giannis era but right now the Bucks are much bigger than that. I know the NFL was mentioned and in many ways the NBA is more popular on a global level and still growing but regionally the Packers will be more popular.

    Yeah, this time last year big things were still expected of Aguilar. Disappointing how fall he has fallen but nice to see Faria still in the system without taking up a 40 man spot. Hopefully he fixes some things in the minors and still has a productive career with the Brewers.

    Every single soul in that dugout knew. There is absolutely no way you don’t. Players had to of been talking about it all the time, there is literally a random dude chilling in the hallway of the dugout with a live feed, and it’s hard to ignore guys making music on a trash can. I didn't think that sarcasm needed to be put it blue but...I was being sarcastic. But, really, Verlander has made a big stink about morality about PED's and domestic abusers, how has that not been brought up in all of this?     In the fumble scenario like in this last game can the ref allow the play to go on and determine who recovers the fumble but then still say he was down by contact? Or in that scenario if the ref let's it play out does he have to say it is a fumble and replay can then only say it was down by contact? Do agree that even with all the technology sometimes the ref still has the best view to make the correct call.

    Cruz was DFA by Texas but nobody claimed him so he stayed in the Texas organization and had a great career there.

    Faria has no doubt looked pretty bad the last couple of years and probably had slim to no chance of making the team. Agree with him being the one to DFA and hopefully he clears waivers and the Brewers can send him to the minors.

    If a team trades for him/ claims him during the DFA process he will have to be added to the 40 man. If nobody claims/trades for him then the White Sox will outright him to the minors but he won't be on their 40 man.

    I don't know if they would sabotage JJ when they spent so much money on Star Wars but do agree it was a mess that didn't make a lot of sense with tons of plot holes. Really the worst of the new movies by quite a bit including the one offs like Rogue One and Solo.

    Highly doubt Clayton Andrews is another Hader, he is fun to follow because he can hit and pitch but I don't know if his ceiling is very high.

    Glad they got the Seahawks instead of the Saints, it shouldn't be a blowout but I imagine the Packers win fairly easily.

    I agree that it should be more black and white but there is precedent that they recognize intent over what happened when they allowed Dallas the ball in the 2nd half after Dak wanting to kick the ball. He said defer, it was the ref that screwed up.

    How so? The Saints were 7-1 on the road this year. It's not like with the Seahawks a few years ago where they were like 8-0 at home and 5-3 on the road. The Saints are a good road team. Maybe at Brees age he could be affected by the elements, but we don't even know that the weather will be a factor. It could be 35 and mild for all we know 9 days out. The Saints play in the NFC South so have a lot of indoor and warm weather games. The Saints still have more talent IMHO but I don't like the Packer chances at all in NO. I would imagine 30 degree weather would impact them at least somewhat and give the Packers a chance. Just like the weather impacted Favre as he got older it may impact Brees, a 41 year old man.

    I would be stunned if the Packers lose this one. Should be treated like a playoff game. Win and they advance a round in the playoffs to face a tough 49ers or Saints team at home.

    Yes, it wasn't a literal trade, Smoak was a free agent as well. Just that the players switched teams for fairly similar salaries.

    It was certainly a mistake not to have a general plan from the start. Would have liked Johnson to finish things up or JJ do all three. It just didn't work going from JJ to Johnson and back to JJ. They both kind of just dismissed or threw out what they didn't like about the other's creation. Having the Emperor come back didn't work at all and made no sense but when Snoke was killed JJ probably felt he needed that big bad guy. Do think the chemistry between Rey/ Finn/Poe was always there and much better than Anakin/Padme/Kenobi from the prequels. Also was nice to see Chewbacca and C-3PO play a decent role in ROS.

    Props to you for calling the Smoak signing early and indicating you would be surprised if he didn't sign with the Brewers. No matter how you knew that is a solid prediction.

    If they do acquire a 3B in will be interesting to see how they handle optioning Arcia/Urias/Healy/Gamel
