  1. The way the Brewers are playing right now and their track record against rookies or guys making their MLB debut, Strasburg would probably throw a complete-game, 15-strikeout game, only giving up a deep solo shot to Prince Fielder. It'd probably only take him about 90 pitches to get through the game too.
  2. Thanks razzzorsharp!!!
  3. I had the same thing happen to my snow thrower this year. When I did some research online I found a suggestion to remove the sparkplug and see if that frees it up. I guess an air bubble could be trapped in a fuel line that locks everything up and by removing the sparkplug it must allow the bubble to be released. This wasn't my case, but it's worth a shot.
  4. OK, now I'm intrigued...what are your incredibly expensive hobbies/interests?
  5. When we bought our house in 2006 we had a 100% loan with a fixed rate of 6.75% with no PMI for 30 years. I believe our total closing costs were around $2200 because of the 100% loan with no PMI. We refinanced this spring at a fixed 5.00% for 30 years. With our home's appreciation and what we already paid we covered the 20% so there was no need for PMI or a different loan. I don't remember the closing costs this time but they were less than we originally paid in 2006.
  6. Do you mean the original warranty or the extended 3-year warranty? I was in the 3-year warranty when I had my Xbox 360 replaced for a refurbished one and they gave me a 90-day warranty. I'm hoping it won't matter though and that I don't see the RROD again...
  7. When I received my replacement refurbished Xbox 360 after I got the RROD, I was told that I only had a 90-day warranty on the replacement console. When I get the RROD again (not if...I'm almost positive I'll get the RROD again since I've been getting the quarter RROD every once and a while) I'll try to have them cover it anyway.
  8. Obviously it's great to win the series, but it would have been nice to sweep some of these series that the Brewers had the opportunity to. Even though every game counts the same, the way that most of the division has been playing it would have been nice to pull a little further away in the standings. Also, every game they can win while they are playing "well" is very important because when they go in slumps it's nice to have those extra wins in the bag (like when they play the American League and can only beat Cleveland).
  9. I guess if the Brewers are 5-5 in games where they had a potential sweep, I can't complain too much. It just seems like they have been worse.
  10. There is no doubt in my mind that it is hard to sweep a major league team going into a series, but once you won the first two games wouldn't you think that a team's winning percentage in the last game of the series should correlate with their actual winning percentage? I realize that during the course of a season you only have a small number of chances to go for the sweep so the sample size isn't that great. The Brewers have a .538 winning pecentage right now, so with this small sample size it would make sense that they be around .500 when going for the sweep. I was just wondering how they compare to everyone else. I agree with your second comment...but being a Brewers fan I'd much rather have them face a team's ace than someone making their MLB debut or someone like Nelson Figuroa that always seems to dominate the Brewers. The Brewers seem to play better when facing some of the better opposing pitchers.
  11. Does anyone know of a site or other source that would show a team's winning percentage in games where the team is going for a sweep? I'd be really interested to see where the Brewers rate compared to the rest of the teams since it seems like they can rarely pull off a sweep. Now, I realize that the last couple of years the Brewers probably had many more chances than 5 to 10 years ago so there should be more losses compared to then since there's more opportunities, but it seems like it's almost a guaranteed loss when going for the sweep. My friend and I joked this morning about how there's no way the Brewers were going to win today since they were going for a sweep. I mentioned that maybe they have a chance if Gallardo pitches a good game and then my friend said they'd probably still lose 1-0. It's almost to the point where I don't even need to watch these games. Sunday's game had two things going against it...the Brewers were going for the sweep plus they were facing someone making their MLB debut...you could bet all the money in the world on a Brewers loss for that game and feel fairly confident...
  12. If this is real, my video game days are coming to an end, even though it is really awesome. Part of the reason I like video games is that I can relax and be lazy while I play them. I am physically active so I don't need video games to be my workout. Pretty soon games will be so realistic that they won't be fun to play...for example I am a sub-par golfer in real life so if you really had to be a good golfer for video games, what's the point in playing a golf game?
  13. There is no A/C installed in Miller Park, but there is heat. If I remember what I heard when Miller Park opened that they can heat it up to 30 degrees warmer than the outside temperature.
  14. I wonder if during day games if they have the lights on that normally cover the shaded in areas of the field. I don't even know if that would work or not, but you'd think that if they can brighten that area when it is pitch black outside that it should be possible to brighten that area when there are shadows.
  15. This doesn't appeary to be your issue, but my old Dell laptop got very hot where you rest your wrists. It ended up being the battery, which was over 4 years old and didn't hold much of a charge anymore. I took the battery out and just used the power cord and everything was fine.
  16. I don't have a problem with people not sitting in the appropriate seats when there were many empty seats available and it is a couple innings into the game. I do get irritated when people do not sit in the appropriate seats right away or if the game is expected to be close to full. I was up in the 400s a couple weekends ago (with 40,000+ in attendance) and there was a group of 4 or 5 people that were a row ahead of me, They were there from the beginning of the game and in about the 3rd inning the real ticket-holders showed up. They left right away but it still bugged me.
  17. Is this a box to contain the real BJ Surhoff? I'm sure that's illegal...
  18. The game isn't on FSN-HD on Charter tonight either.
  19. They must all be at the game. Wasn't this game supposed to be on FSN-HD? Charter is showing the color bars on FSN-HD instead.
  20. It figures that the first time I have a vacation scheduled to a foreign country that a pandemic going wild. My wife and I leave for a cruise on 5/9 and we were scheduled to go to Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Belize, and Honduras. Cozumel was officially cancelled by Carnival today. I suppose I'd rather not get sick but it's too bad that it just happens during my vacation time...
  21. If anyone else has an extra Braun bobble from this upcoming Sunday's game I may be interested in it as well. Please let me know. Thanks!
  22. I hate when companies use MySpace or Facebook type sites for their official websites. Movie companies do this all of the time. It seems like a lazy way out of having to set up their own official website.
  23. My Xbox 360 got the RROD on January 1 of this year and it was still in the 3-year warranty period. They sent me a replacement refurbished 360 and told me that I only had a 90-day warranty on this one so I'm hoping that I don't get the RROD again. If I do I'll probably buy an arcade version.
