  1. Tear down the goal posts!
  2. Weather aside this is a very good defensive effort against a good offense.
  3. I honestly don't remember anyone saying anything about Chryst's recruiting until that Jesse Temple article came out after he was fired. Recruiting and development are two different things. If you want to say that Chryst didn't develop that's fine but that isn't necesarily bad recruiting.
  4. Yeah but when you recruit to the spread offense and then pivot back to a traditional offense you're going to be hosed personnel wise.
  5. We watched The Baltimorons last week. It was very reminiscent of small-budget, independent movies of the early 2000s - no-name actors, some laughs, and some heart. Neat to see Jay Duplass go back to his roots.
  6. First off, I think you guys are really making Chryst's recruiting classes worse than they were. Yeah not great classes for sure but not bottom of the Big Ten. Secondly, Fickell's classes haven't been amazing. I think the bulk of the problem with Fickell is a horrendous hire at OC. I can't say I hated it when he hired Longo, but it turned out to be horrible. I don't know how they'd be if they'd have hired some ground and pound OC right out of the gate but I bet they'd be tracking for more than 2 wins this year. Now you're in a hole that is going to be really difficult to climb out of. It's almost like starting over. So do we give him three or four more years recruiting to the new offense? I will say the defense is at least putting in an effort the last few weeks. The offense is just putrid.
  7. We're gonna be blaming Chryst's recruits for 10 years. At what point is this Fickell's team? Next year? The year after that?
  8. Dodgers will sign him for 2 years/$40 million and only pitch him in Sept and Oct
  9. I made up the 7,8,10 numbers.
  10. Cory Doctorow wrote a book whose title I can't use here, but it rhymes with "EnsPitification." It doesn't fully apply in this example (more apt for things like Amazon, Twitter, Facebook, Google, etc.) but it's pretty close: 1. They begin with an offer that’s not only good but often too good to establish user lock-in, making it difficult for users to leave. 2. Increase profits by catering to business interests, often at the expense of the end-user experience Once users are locked in, the platform begins to shift its focus to monetize its business customers, such as advertisers and sellers. 3. Capture nearly all value, leaving behind a degraded service but keeping just enough value to maintain the user base's lock-in. The platform extracts maximum value from end-users and business customers to benefit shareholders.
  11. they won't hire Gruden
  12. I love how they took an all pro guard and made him a mediocre center.
  13. well at least the Lions lost
  14. pathetic defense. maybe 2 or 3 pressures?
  15. I realize you have a bunch of backups in there but that was a bad playcall
  16. Packers need to get a fumble on a missed handoff.
  17. GB's D seems very dependent on game script. If they get a nice lead and the other team is forced to pass they do well. If play action is still on the table, they are very average.
  18. they are gonna look silly in film study next week
  19. Well KPJ hurt himself in practice and is out another 4 weeks so we don't have to think about it for awhile
  20. Yeah they aren't releasing Porter but he may no longer be the starter.
  21. As an aside, that person hasn't posted once since the day of the Hoskins signing.
  22. Well yeah there's a reason they are double digit favorites. They should win by 2 scores at least. CAR is all beat up on the offensive line and the only way they can win is if they dominate the line and run the ball at will. I don't see that happening as GB should be able to get a lead on them and force them to throw.
