  1. It continues to be the year of the 2009 draft class. 3 Prince 6 Burgos 7 Davis 14 Halton 16 Gennett 22 Fiers
  2. He's a 1B named Cooper? How could he not be?
  3. Orthopedic Surgeon Dr Lewis Yocum dies at age 66. How many careers has he saved in his 36 years? http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/mlb/story/_/id/9319742/los-angeles-angels-noted-tommy-john-surgeon-lewis-yocum-dies
  4. But he's still walking over 5 per 9 innings.
  5. Because the starting options are either hurt or ineffective? Jimmy Nelson is really the only starter at the upper levels of the minors who is pitching well.
  6. So who gets dropped from the 40 man to make room? And they'll need another spot for Hart in a few weeks.
  7. Jimmy Nelson is sure one of the few bright spots in this dismal season.
  8. I wonder how much the World Classic affected some of these guys. Pitchers having to ramp it up much earlier than usual and guys like Lucroy rotting away on the bench, when he'd normally be getting regular playing time in spring training.
  9. [sarcasm]Good to see him increasing his versatility.[/sarcasm]
  10. http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/mlb/prospects/watch/y2013/index.jsp?c_id=mil Time for a new top prospect. Peralta is over 50 innings, so he graduates off the list. MLB has Thornburg as their #1 now.
  11. Wouldn't you rather have Bianchi rotting on the bench and Prince getting regular playing time in AAA? But at some point in the next month+, Bianchi, Ramirez and Hart will be back. I'd imagine Prince, Davis and Lalli get optioned. Not a bad bench of Gonzalez, Betancourt, Bianchi, Schafer and Maldonado.
  12. So Kyle Heckathorn comes off the DL. Jim Hoey and his 27.90 ERA have been released.
  13. Burgos is the 4th member of the 2009 draft to make it to the Brewers. Not bad considering how poorly the top picks have done.
  14. Yuni also had 5 seasons of at least 150 games, while Weeks has had 2. That's 114 more games for Yuni.
  15. Padres don't come to Miller Park until late July. Even though it's not directly related to the Brewers, I was curious if Quentin would get booed.
  16. 3 catchers, 3 shortstops, 3 center fielders, 0 first basemen, 0 third basemen. Yeah, that sounds right.
  17. I'm really interested to see how the Huntsville lineup shakes out. So many options. Do Davis or Kjeldgaard see time in center?
  18. Would Figaro have any options if added to the 40 man? Hand would have 3 options left. It would be useful to have a few guys who could go up and down this year and not be stuck with the same guys. Or would they just DFA Figaro when they go down to 12 pitchers?
  19. Peralta and Fiers both went about 180 innings last year, so no need to limit them.
  20. All the articles are pointing to the 6th starter going to the bullpen. I would guess that it will be Fiers, since he was the 5th starter before Lohse was signed and he has the most bullpen experience.
  21. I think Rogers goes to the pen. I just don't see how he can start for a full season. His career high in innings was last year and it was only 134. Fiers and Peralta were around 180 innings last year, so they should have no problem going a full season.
  22. I've seen that Fox still owns the distribution rights for Episodes 1-6, so i'm not sure we'll be seeing much in the way of re-releasing the original trilogy. So Disney has to release new movies to make money. I'm most excited about the theme park possiblities. Right now, Disney just has the Star Tours simulator ride at a number of their parks. Now they can build entire lands, putting you in the middle of any number of Star Wars locations with rides, attractions and dining. The possibilities are endless.
  23. I don't remember this and I'm not saying it didn't happen but if he was faking then he's never been hurt right? Estrada was stinking it up in the majors. Brewers tried to send him to AAA and all of a sudden, he says he's hurt. Had to keep him on the MLB DL. I think it was more Estrada hiding an injury than faking it.
  24. The one question I have is Ishikawa. He was probably the best pinch hitter on the team, but there's probably not a place for him with Gamel on the team.
  25. The outlook for 2013 is certainly brighter than it was just a few months ago. You had questions about who would replace Wolf, Grainke, and Marcum or if you needed to extend one or two of them. Question at 1B and SS. Questions about Ramirez. Questions about defense. Answered a lot of questions this year.
