  1. Tecmo Super Bowl was loaded... Not quite elite level, but solid players in the game were Derrick Thomas, David Fulcher, Ronnie Lott, Sterling Sharpe was awesome, who was the safety on the Vikings again? Man I would wear that game out. NES Advantage, turbo button baby.
  2. You can get beer at just about any gas station here in Vegas 24 hours a day, there are a few near the MGM. If you would rather go to a grocery store, the one I go to is actually ~20 blocks east of the MGM right on Tropicana (The MGM is Las Vegas Blvd & Tropicana), it's called Albertsons. There are tons of little liquor stores all over town in little strip malls. You won't have a hard time finding a place to buy beer.
  3. Do you have the rosters T BONE? I just got the game and want to see if I can get these rosters updated. Edit: Nevermind - I just read the thread on the XBOX forums and got them downloaded. Awesome.
  4. In N Out is big out here, but I don't eat it a whole lot. El Pollo Loco is pretty tasty, not sure if they have those back in 'Sconsin.
  5. One thing Selig mentioned about a week ago regarding the "This time it counts" stuff - Hotel rooms. People need to plan months ahead of time to make sure that they can get accommodations for an event of this magnitude. It's much easier to have half a season to prepare than it is to have a few days. I'm not saying that this is okay in my view, just that it was one of the reasons that Selig likes it this way.
  6. The first thing I haven't looked in to yet, but I knew I had the same problem with #2 before so I checked it out: http://www.petaimg.com/uploads/1216090093.png This is under Account Settings. Hope this helps.
  7. Good riddance - he really started to get on a lot of people's nerves the last few years. link
  8. I think the emphasis is more on long-term results than on a handful of leadoff PAs this year. That's where the difference lies.
  9. Who do we want to give the ABs to? That seems to be the main question here.
  10. Haha, the PA guy just announced LaPorta as "Mateo LaPorTA" and Gamel sounded like Matias GaMEL
  11. But then you would still have the dead one. RMA only works if they get the defective unit back.
  12. The Brewers also got Claudio Vargas and Greg Aquino in that deal. Not much, but more than what you mentioned.
  13. Seeing as I had no problem with the updates and don't use ZoneAlarm, maybe the "darn you" should be directed ZA's way.
  14. Great insight. Where would he play? The Brewers have nowhere to put him on their roster. If he hit left handed and could play the outfield, then maybe. Big maybe. The Richie Sexson era is bygone and we should treat it as such.
  15. XP or Vista? I haven't had problems with either.
  16. I might make the 4 hr drive down there a couple times.
  17. 30 lbs? I realize that BMI is outdated and his body type is an anomaly, but his healthy weight would be easily about 100 lbs less than what he currently weighs. Don't get me wrong; as long as the dingers keep coming I'm on board.
  18. If riding the pine while others are at bat causes Prince to lose his breath, let's just say he needs to do a little exercise.
  19. Sheets has been doing that at least since his latissimus dorsi injury a couple years ago. As far as Prince, he's been doing that constantly since he came up. Who knows, maybe he does smoke cigarettes?
  20. You typically want to take advantage of a player's defensive abilities as best as you can. Lawrie was drafted as a catcher, and if he doesn't stick there he could very possibly slide over to 3B or the OF. First base would be a last option type of thing for Lawrie.
  21. Try working at Harley for a while. When I was working at the Corporate HQ on Juneau Ave, there were always dozens of bikes outside of the building. It was pretty easy to tell when it was quitting time.
  22. Don't forget that Corey Hart was drafted as a 1st baseman. His huge wingspan would be a big asset, and his athleticism might allow him to become a pretty good defender at the position. That said, his progression as an outfielder can't be overlooked. A weaker outfielder might be better suited to play 1st.
