  1. Lorenzo Cain has not had a bad at bat yet. Rockets everywhere. Orlando Arcia is really, really good at defending his position.
  2. Couple of game notes: 1) I hope Woodruff is ok. Couple of rockets off the body can't be great, especially the one of the throwing shoulder. He has a week to heal. Counsell said he was fine after the game but still.. 2) Our bench is going to be great. Aguilar with a great AB in the 9th. 3) Props Villar. Swung wildly at a pitch 18 inches off the plate earlier in the AB and I was silently just hoping to avoid a double play ... I'll have my crow in the morning. 4) Welcome to Milwaukee Dan Jennings. Stick around awhile... 5) All Chacin does is get team wins in San Diego...
  3. Over/Under number of out relay conversions from Arcia this year might be in the teens...
  4. Hendricks threw 88 pitches. Eddie Butler is at 90 and counting. How often do you have two pitchers from the same team both throw over 85 pitches in the same game?
  5. In the 15th, this Marlins' reliever just finished his 6th inning. That doesn't happen everyday..
  6. Reading through the IGT... it is hard to tell if you like Chacin or not. Chill. Obviously I don't. Arcia turned the double play to save Chacin more runs. I don't appreciate a regular board member trying to regulate my posts either. Some hardcore fans are more vocal, not accepting of mediocrity, if I am not breaking rules what's wrong with that? Just trying to help you out man. Every time a ball was hit hard tonight you posted a varied version of the same comment. I appreciate you are involved in the game, I'm just saying maybe consider tempering how many times you say the exact same thing without progressing the conversation. You do you. It is just making a lot more work for the rest of us to sift through over the course of a season if this is the trend...
  7. Reading through the IGT... it is hard to tell if you like Chacin or not. Chill.
  8. Dan Jennings throws something like 80% sinkers now. 3 years ago he never threw one. He is a completely different pitcher and as someone mentioned above ... he gets grounders AND lefties struggle against his new repertoire. I think he is here to stay.
  9. BA: "What a luxury the Brewers have in having 4 guys that can play shortstop..." Why on earth is that a luxury? When do you need 4 shortstops in a game, especially when you have one of them who is going to play 145+?
  10. Can someone describe it please for us gameday-ers? Knee? Head? Ankle? Leaving the game?
  11. Have we a thread for the Crew's first home run of the season? I'll take Pineapple Pina in the 5th.
  12. I do agree about the relative small cost the Rays would have had to keep Jennings with the potential to flip him at the deadline, assuming he performs to expectation. I am not at all upset that we acquired that ability if the team struggles this year.
  13. Gosh I like this so much. Keep the ball on the ground Dan!
  14. I would have kept Williams as well obviously .. but does Drake not have an option left? Are they doing this simply to keep both guys?
  15. My interpretation could be way off, but my gut when they DL'd Vogt was because he was better than any internal option we had so his 3/4 week delay was worth holding onto. However if there is a LH hitting catcher out there with a little pop and good defense and some youth - possible to consider his upside to what Vogt offers.
  16. Instead of clicking on 18 different threads about individual guys who didn't make their respective rosters I thought it would be good to keep it in one conversation the next few days. A lot of speculation the Brewers are looking to add (both bullpen and backup C, possibly rotation?) via waiver wire. I'm especially interested in the backup catcher spot. I feel like we can improve on Bandy. Any names out there being designated we should be grabbing?
  17. This has potential to be the best offensive lineup we have had since 82. So excited to watch these guys hit.
  18. Is the above picture of baseballs to show us how badly baseballs get battered around while playing or how poor the equipment is that these kids use?
  19. 26 yrs old with 60 total MLB games. .305/.402/.497 in just under 2,000 career minor league PAs. I would argue his story isn't completed yet. Not advocating for him over Aguilar or anyone else for that matter... but might be a bit premature ending the kids career.
