Sal Frelick ends up on a knee after swinging more than any player I've ever seen. To think of it ... he sometimes ends up on a knee while taking pitches.

Velocity is way down. He didn't touch 87 in the 1st.

I'm hypothesizing here but I am assuming Murphy is looking at opposing pitcher splits and filling in bodies to correspond. I don't know what Soroka's splits are against R/L but I'm assuming it is wild enough that Murphy wanted 8 LH bats in the lineup. The names Jones, Hamilton, Frelick, etc mean less than the (L) or (S) next to their name. Whether that is the correct move is debatable, I would also be playing Lockridge over Jones right now without thinking twice... but I'm assuming that is what is happening.

I was excited to get the lefties in the game after Rodriguez got pulled. The at bats from Mitchell, Frelick, and Hamilton were umm... definitely at bats I guess.

There are many things to talk about on that play. Rengifo looks like he is holding or limping on 3 different spots on his body. Great job Ortiz. Great heads up Lockridge.

I was just going to comment. Maybe he has given up some inherited runners that make it seem different.. I can't speak on the peripherals but an ERA of 2.19 surprised me.
