  1. One that I have been recently watching is Metatron. A lot of good information on medieval times if you are into that. https://www.youtube.com/@metatronyt
  2. HUH? He only swung at one in that inning unless you are counting the one that was being called a strike all game long.
  3. I don't believe a catcher can do much about it other than complain to the umpire. It is the umpires responsibility to make sure the batter is inside the batters box and not the catcher. I don't think the umpire would have allowed for Contreras to move any further back as they are going to stand where they feel comfortable calling balls and strikes. This is really the umpires responsibility.
  4. I know I should probably just put this in the what is bugging me thread but I think it is better to put it here. I was going through some Tony Gwynn interviews and some other interviews with other players and I have come to the conclusion that some posters on here would have hated Gwynn as a hitting coach. This is mostly on his thoughts on stances or the lack there of. Gwynn didn't see stances as being all that important to hitting.
  5. Power isn't just home runs. If Frelick doesn't develop some better exit velocities soon he is just going to be a slap hitting singles hitter. Which is valuable as long as his speed holds up and that is only a hamstring injury away from being gone. Exit velocity or hard hit or squaring up or whatever you want to call it is crucial for a batter. So him being at the bottom of the league in exit velocity is concerning and he needs to turn that around. Right now Frelick is having a similar problem that Gwynn had earlier in his career and that is handling the inside fastball. He has to learn how to turn on that pitch otherwise pitchers are going to take advantage of him there. Add that up with his low exit velocity which means he is not getting the barrel of the bat to the ball. He is just swinging and just barely making contact.
  6. It is a MLB Network game tonight so scheduling time is from MLB and not the Dodgers. The Mariners @ Royals are already scheduled for the afternoon game and the two evening games on MLB Network are Brewers @ Dodgers or Dbacks @ Padres.
  7. OK Troll.
  8. It is not you should look up extraterritorial jurisdiction. If the age of consent is 16 in another country as a US citizen the age of consent is still 18 for you and you can and will be charged with statutory rape. https://www.justice.gov/criminal-ceos/citizens-guide-us-federal-law-extraterritorial-sexual-exploitation-children
  9. Yeah I don't think Frelick is going to be a good MLB regular unless he starts to turn on inside FB's at a better rate. He is looking more like Juan Pierre with a better hit tool.
  10. What was Frelick swinging at? That wasn't even close to the plate was he swinging at an imaginary batter in the other box?
  11. Some how Freeman has gone 0-4 in this game and is being out hit by Rojas, Outman, Heyward and Hernandez.
  12. I know CC wanted to let the bullpen have a breather for a bit but you have to remove Houser after the error.
  13. It looks like Acuna should get to 60 SB's this year and may get to 30+/60+ season. I think Acuna by far is the NL MVP and there really isn't anyone else close. This feels like the Trout years where he was the MVP by default in the AL.
  14. After 64 pitches and this should be Houser's last inning which is just crazy. As that is 5 solid innings from Houser but you can't really let him start the next inning at the top of the order. I wish this were a Burnes or Peralta start like this as it would save the bullpen a game but you can't really put Houser out there for another inning.
  15. Crazy that it has been that long.
  16. It sucks that Houser really can't be trusted going through the lineup more than twice. At about 60 pitches in the 5th and he should really be out of the game after this inning.
  17. Hmmm I thought only the Brewers that sucked with runners at 1st and 2nd with no outs?
  18. When was the last time there was a 20/60 player? By 20/60 I mean 20 HR's and 60 SB's.

  20. Yes you do!!!!! More working from home would solve the problem however you are not going to get corporate America to buy into that. More offices are being built and then you have others at about 60-70% occupied during the week. It is a struggle to just keep hybrid at times. Methane is an option and would allow farmers with heavy equipment to store and use a renewable energy source. Could also be a cost savings to farmers where they won’t need to buy fuel as they will have an abundance of it. Also landfills could also supply their own fuel for their heavy equipment.
  21. If it is going to be for the division it will probably be more than $20 extra for a ticket. Well depending on where that ticket is. Probably closer to $50 extra for a ticket.
  22. It was just an example of legality nothing more. Plus if true it doesn’t really matter as both the DR and US have the same age of consent laws. Nationally for the US that is which is the law that needs to be followed by US citizens internationally, some states have different laws but that doesn’t apply when traveling internationally or from state to state.
  23. Depends on the country and if he is a US citizen. If he is a citizen of a country where age of consent is 14 which he is not. I believe he is still a Dominican Republic citizen which is 18. US law applies to US citizens internationally so if something is legal in another country and is illegal in the US you are breaking the law and could be charged. For example if it is legal to drink alcohol at 16 in one country it is still illegal for a US citizen to drink alcohol in that country and you can be charged for illegally drinking alcohol once back in the US.
  24. Sound of Freedom should win some awards but won’t. It is a great movie with an actual plot and character development. A far better movie than Oppenheimer and Barbie.
