  1. The Athletic has the Packers taking the following in the first 3 rounds. The Athletic has more pick predictions but I am just listing the first 3 rounds. 15.Peter Skoronski 45. Luke Musgrave TE 78. Antonio Johnson S https://theathletic.com/4413880/2023/04/17/nfl-7-rounds-mock-draft-2023/ In this draft the Packers pass on Jaxon Smith-Njigba WR who is drafted at #20 to Seattle. I don't think the Packers would pass on Jaxon Smith-Njigba if he is available at 15 and I don't see the Packers taking Skoronski either.
  2. The only other option maybe Marquez from the Rockies for Lara (OF) and a lottery ticket.
  3. I just looked it up in AZ you can buy property in a 55+ aged community before you turn 55. The only rule is that a resident must be 55. If you are not claiming that property as your main residence then you can have the property. To be able to stay there you would have to look up the bylaws of the community on how many weeks or months you can stay there being over the age of 18 and under 55. So for example if your significant other turns 55 before you do or you turn 55 before they do you could live there as your main residence without any of the bylaws impacting you.
  4. In AZ at least there are a bunch of 55+ communities that are extremely affordable. Depending on the community I believe you can buy a property before you hit 55 if you don't have any children that will be living with you in the community. Would have to check the bylaws for the communities but I am fairly certain there are a few that will allow you to buy the property before the age of 55. There are a bunch of condos in the $180k range and some houses in the $150k range also. I know some look down on trailer parks but the 55+ communities here are actually rather nice. You can either buy a lot with no trailer and park an RV or put a trailer on the lot. Also in AZ there is basically only a 1% chance of a tornado ever forming so safe from that. The only weather related issue would be during the summer months when the monsoons come.
  5. Hiura has been a really good low ball hitter. It is the upper part of the zone where he gets absolutely dominated. It is mostly because of his swing and in that video his swing hasn't changed a bit. It is still an upper cut swing where he is going to be taken advantage of in the upper part of the zone. I believe only 3 of Hiura's extra base hits last year were in the upper part of the zone and the majority of his K's were in the upper part of the zone. The leg kick is not the main problem for Hiura it is the upper cut swing and his inability to cover the top third of the strike zone.
  6. Have you tried this? https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/182225/1992-Milwaukee-Brewers-Lead-Off-Programs-Elite-Class
  7. Giannis out for the rest of the game with a back injury. Ugggggg
  8. This is a quick way to get your resume thrown in the garbage if you are applying to any corporate job. This may work with a small business but any large company with an HR department is basically just throwing this in the garbage. Great you met someone at the office now your resume is in the garbage can and will never be seen now please apply on the company website. At the company I work at the policy is we don't take paper resumes. Thank you for coming in but please apply on the corporate website. Oh you are leaving your resume with me well thank you but now it is going in the garbage can once you leave. A quick edit if you want to meet someone go to the hiring events. That will be more beneficial then showing up randomly and handing over a resume. Also come with questions about the company not the job(s) being offered. Don't ask questions about the job because 99.99999999999999999998% of the time the recruiter has no idea what the job is beyond what is in the job description.
  9. https://theathletic.com/4409306/2023/04/14/mlb-streaming-tv-blackouts/?source=user_shared_article According to Manfred the Cardinals only reach 15% of their TV viewership. Now think about the other teams and you can see there is a serious problem for MLB and TV viewership. Currently this is MLB’s #1 priority.
  10. ChatGPT only goes to 2021. So a bunch of players who would be rated highly in 2021 would be my guess.
  11. Still early in the season but the Cardinals rotation is looking really bad and I don't think Wainwright coming back is going to help all that much. Also Wilson Contreras doesn't look all that good so far early in the season.
  12. Could possibly be a replacement for Jones or Dillon. The biggest problem with McBride is he is a bad blocker and his receiving ability is an unknown. If he were a better blocker or if teams had some tape on him catching the ball as a receiver I think he would be gone right around the 3rd round. A 4th or 5th round pick with the Packers run blocking scheme basically makes him a perfect fit for them. I really like McBride as a RB I wish the Bears used more of a zone blocking scheme. But the scheme the Bears use wouldn't be good for McBride. McBride has really good vision and will get a bunch of yards after first contact.
  13. Going off of Dane Brugler's from The Athletic Draft Guide.
  14. The only thing I would like to see changed in the NFL would be the penalties at your own endzone. If you get a false start or delay of game or whatever penalty at the whatever yard line instead of doing half the distance to the goal just move the first down marker 5 or 10 yards further.
  15. I still prefer a vertical but yeah I agree at some point they have to turn this isn't NASCAR. For vertical you don't really even need a great QB to take advantage of that. Take Cunningham at the end of his career he was basically just lobbing balls to Moss and Carter for the Vikings. A good vertical to me is the most important attribute for a WR. Can the WR out jump whoever is guarding him the next best attribute is can they reliably catch the ball and finally can they create some separation (agility or speed) from the defender. Route running is also important can the QB trust you to be in the spot you are supposed to be in without actually watching you run your route.
  16. I completely disagree just looking at the draft: For DT's there are 14 with a grade of 1-4 and at edge there are 20 with a grade of 1-4. For OT there are 9 with a grade of 1-4, at G there are 9 and at C there are 3. There are going to be draft grade DL's of 2-4 available in the 3rd, 4th and 5th rounds while the majority of the OL's are going to be gone by the 3rd round. You will have to be picking 5-UDF in the later rounds of the draft. This is probably not a popular opinion but if Dewayne McBride is available in the 4th or 5th round I think the Packers go with him. He is a perfect RB fit for zone blocking.
  17. For WR's I prefer a better vertical over speed. Since that vertical will help more when in the red zone than speed. If the WR can out jump a DB then there is very little other than pushing the WR out of bounds that the DB is going to be able to do. You can over come speed in the red zone. I think both are basically the same one is a little bit faster with a slightly better vertical while the other is more agile. In this case I would rather just look at the route running and hands compared to everything else. Both look to be mid 1st or 2nd round picks.
  18. Maybe they fixed the drag issue they were having with the ball last year.
  19. Because if he stays healthy he has been averaging about 0.6 G/GP the last few years. Even if he drops down to something closer to 0.5 G/GP that still puts him on pace for the 2025-2026 season. https://www.sportingnews.com/ca/nhl/news/alex-ovechkin-career-goal-tracker-wayne-gretzky-record-capitals/ydqlwgfz7vkcyeztib94e9rr
  20. The #7 and #8 seed play each other for the #7 whoever wins gets the #7 seed whoever loses plays for the last spot in the playoffs against the winner of the 9vs10 game.
  21. Because you would be receiving negative value even with extending Woodruff.
  22. He could be a sneaky good pass rusher someone you may want to stash for a year or two and put on a NFL training regiment. If he bulks up he could be a really good pass rusher. Other than his arms and hands he has all of what you are looking for in a edge rusher. While Bowling Green isn't a powerhouse I think Brooks fits in well with the Packers defensive scheme. I think the Packers are short on defensive lineman and need to bolster their defensive line. This draft is also very deep in defensive line talent and very shallow on offensive line talent. Teams are going to snatch up all of the good OL early which should leave a lot of 3rd and 4th round DL types in the 4th and 5th round.
  23. With the NHL regular season ending soon Ovechkin is at 822 career goals. He should get to 894 in 2025. Hopefully more attention will be made around this but I doubt it.
  24. Yeah that was a weird mock draft in that one. The Bears at #9 were able to get Carter. All of the top QB's were drafted and one of the top OL and one of the CB's were drafted before the Bears picked at #9.
  25. If the White Sox are out of it by the deadline I wonder if they would do something like this?
