  1. The Undertaker was recently on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. Not as good as the Jake the Snake episode but still was a good podcast. https://jrelibrary.com/1598-mark-the-undertaker-calaway/
  2. I never put anything in a 401k that is pre tax to me it is just a dumb idea to pay the taxes later when you will be on a limited budget. Disagree - take the tax break now when I'm at peak earning years when the tax break will be greater. Plus, if you have an employer that has a decent match (back in the 2000's I worked for a company that matched dollar for dollar up to 10%), it's free money. A tax break of the 401K limit of $19,500 means a lot now, plus my company matched another over $5000 last year. Also, greater accumulation of wealth and compounding of interest now means being on less of a budget later. A ROTH 401k is basically what I am talking about so I am not losing money and fairly certain I will be in a different higher tax bracket when I retire well sort of. To expand on this I have an annuity that I set up about 10 years ago that should pay out between $3000-3500 a month plus my ROTH 401k plus a part time job will put me in a higher tax bracket.
  3. Pre tax is the key word here. 401k's are not just pre tax accounts you can have a ROTH 401k that is all post tax. I don't really plan on retiring ever really I will still be working until I die or at least that is the plan. When I retire I will still be working so my income will be actually higher than what I am bringing in now. To me ROTH's are just a better option compared to your traditional 401k's. I have done enough research in this area for taxes that it doesn't really make much sense for what I want to do to put use a pre tax 401k selection post tax makes the most sense for me. I still get my companies match so not losing money at all.
  4. It is all ROTH 401k which is all after tax so taxes when I take it out when I retire will be at a minimum so the match is still there.

    Pizza

That settles it never going to have Detroit style. The hot lunch pizza in grade school tasted like they used cardboard for crust and ketchup for sauce and the cheese was whatever they could scrape off the grill. Hopefully there wasn't any sausage on the pizza because if you were unlucky enough to get the sausage one it was basically some kind of mystery meat that no one knows where it came from.
  7. You could always put a sell stop order in. For example if you bought stock A at $50 and then it runs up to $75 a share you could put a sell stop order in at $75 and if the stock keeps on going up it won't trigger but once it gets within a few fractions of $75 it will trigger that sale thus locking in your $25 per share gain.
  8. After WW:84 which was just bad from after the beginning of the movie to the end. I don't know why but DC movies just suck and I think it is partially to do with the writing and partially due to the villains that they are using as being boring and having no character behind them.
  9. I don't believe solar or wind power have a sustainable growth and you maybe able to ride the wave but I would get out as soon as you start seeing the stock dip. I wouldn't hold any solar stocks for the long term that industry just doesn't have the growth potential to support the high stock prices.
  10. Stay far far far far far away from solar.
  11. The only reason it was that low is because of other factors though it did increase in price magically after all of the gold was stolen from the American people by FDR. The greatest transfer of wealth from the regular people to the government in recent history. I believe going back to the gold standard will actually increase the wealth of the poor and return what was wrongfully stolen from the people.
  12. You are thinking of this entirely wrong. If you attach a currency to Bitcoin you would be paid in the currency not in Bitcoin. The value of the currency depending on how much you print will be tied to Bitcoin and thus would have actual value and backing behind it. If a country goes crazy and prints off a lot of money the valuation of that said currency would then go down because it would then buy less Bitcoin. This would actually force governments to be more wise with their currency and debt. Instead of just passing it on to whatever generation which is what the fiat currencies have done this may not make people poorer today but it will definitely make the poor poorer in the future.
  13. No it won't make everyone poorer the printing of more and more money is what does that.
  14. There can only ever be 21 million Bitcoin in existence you can't mine anymore than that. So Bitcoin is the better choice over gold as you can't create more the 21 million.
  15. You can basically buy anything and everything in Japan with Bitcoins. I believe you can do that in South Korea also and some of the other smaller countries in Asia also. There is a strip club in Nevada that you can pay in Bitcoin and also a gun store in Texas that you can purchase guns with Bitcoin. There are other applications that can be used with the chainblock technology other than Bitcoin. Though ultimately I would love to see the US go back to the gold standard but instead of gold tie the US currency to Bitcoin. I think more countries will start to do this especially if the dollar keeps on dropping like it has. At some point the fiat currencies will either be toilet paper or backed up by something like gold or Bitcoin basically monetary policy should go backwards to be able to move forward.
  16. Well this is just ummm stupid? https://www.cbssports.com/nhl/news/nhl-sells-naming-rights-to-divisions-for-2021-season/
  17. Stimulus sure but that didn't really increase the debt by all that much the budget bill though now that added a whole lot more to the national debt and most of that money is just going overseas for dumb reasons. So no matter what the current or future administrations do the dollar is going to weaken due to the debt issues unless you are saying congress is going to do a 180 and will actually start caring about the national debt?
  18. The US Dollar is going to drop because the US Treasury is like printer go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and prints money. If the last budget bill is any indication of what is ahead for the dollar it is going to drop some more.
  19. The housing market in Phoenix is not all that cheap it is actually rather expensive especially in downtown Phoenix, Tempe and Scottsdale. The downtown Phoenix condos go anywhere from $500k to $1m the same for Tempe and Scottsdale. There are some areas where you can get a good deal now but they are extremely far out of the city limit lines and even some of those are rather expensive. If you want to live in a not so great neighbor hood then yeah you can find houses and some apartments for less than $300k but for the most part everything is in the $300-$500k range. Depending on when they got the property in Phoenix it is probably a good deal I know of some people who bought some houses at about $200k and they are now valued at $500-$700k and they charge about $2000 - $3000 a month for rent. Rent prices have also been increasing here due to the mass exodus from California.
  20. If you are not going to be making a big purchase any time soon like a car or a house then this is of little concern.
  21. One of my favorite shows The Expanse is back on and I am loving this season so far!
  22. Well drat, my memory was bad. Looks like I'm getting 0.5% instead of 2-3%. But I don't have a ton of money there... I use it as my liquid savings account instead of the 0.001% you get from a bank, so I suppose I'm doing better anyway. Affirm looks like they have the best rate at 0.65% https://www.affirm.com/savings The next best I could find is axos bank at 0.61% and then Marcus and AMEX at 0.50% https://www.axosbank.com/high-yield-savings-account?utm_campaign=01652_hysav_consumerdeposits_axos_rakuten_hys_baseline&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_source=rakuten&utm_content=49&utm_term=LinkOffers&siteID=x_S254V_QB8-kOov5yIVnkHH.oxTqexNMw&ranMID=44016&ranEAID=x%2FS254V%2FQB8&ranSiteID=x_S254V_QB8-kOov5yIVnkHH.oxTqexNMw https://www.marcus.com/us/en/savings/osa-mobile?prd=os&chl=ag&schl=agb&cid=6283453br20461840941608690540lid;dc_lat=;dc_rdid=;tag_for_child_directed_treatment=;tfua=placement=262777576&dclid=CjgKEAiAz4b_BRC_4vOJrPX5qAoSJAABll_UwaL6jsQiidtY5acp8UXyUNp8EZgLwOQnh09eHhEykvD_BwE https://www.americanexpress.com/en-us/banking/online-savings/high-yield-savings/?irgwc=1&extlink=ps2020%3Daffiliate These rates can change and they are not fixed rates FYI.
  23. There are other savings options out there that pay better they are just not insured like a bank's. Credit unions tend to have better rates. I have a savings account with Affirm and I have an APY of .65 it was 1.0 for about 10 months this year. There are others that are giving out good APY just have to find them. The only drawback is it takes up to 2-3 days to withdraw sometimes.
  24. This year I have only bought 1 stock and that was AIEQ back in January at about $29 a share and it selling right now at about $36 a share and I still have WU which I bought a few years ago at $19 a share and is trading at $23 a share. I did sell my AMD position this year which I held for about 5-years bought at $3 a share and sold at $94 a share which was nice except for the tax bill at the end of this year. I hate taxes and I have already rolled over all of my other long-term losses so no help on that for this upcoming tax year. I am thinking in investing in OTGLY, yes I know they had a horrible release for their most recent game but I think the sales numbers even with returns are still going to beat projections and the stock should rise.
  25. I have always loved Sting he was awesome in WCW!
