    I am keeping my eye on Rintaro Sasaki. He skipped the NPB draft and is eligible for the 2026 MLB draft. He is extremely raw but he has a lot of power. He is a 1B only option as he is a big dude. Kind of reminds me of a taller Prince Fielder. Forgot this one also when he first came over.

    You really don't know what the word abandon means? Seriously? Here is the definition in case you forgot or you don't know: Not focusing on it more is not abandoning it. So yes you made something up yet again. Also they haven't abandoned it and the 2026 HS class for WI is severely lacking in talent. Sometimes it is just best to skip a year which WI has done in the past in recruiting from WI. Not to mention Cole Reiter who has committed to the Badgers in the 2027 class and is a top 20 OT in that class is a better recruit than Meier is who is ranked 44th in the 2026 class. So not only would he be behind the other recruits but he would also be behind the recruits coming in after him. There are also only so many scholarships available and I doubt Meier would want to be a walk on when he has scholarship offers from others. No one is going to walk on when there are other B1G schools and other larger colleges giving you a free ride no matter how loyal the person is to Wisconsin football at that stage you would be an absolute moron to turn a scholarship down just to walk on at wherever.

    That was a 100% PC decision to bring him on the defensive side. There is a good QB that is coming in with the 2025 recruiting class in Carter Smith along with WR Eugene Hilton. The 2026 class also has Petit, Bah Gaad and Latimer. A lot of Fickell's good recruiting is only recently. So no they don't need to focus more on Wisconsin. The players above for 2026 have all been poached from SEC school territory.

    They won't get rid of him as the buyout is too much. I think he gets all of next season and possibly the first half of the next season also.

    Apparently the Bucks and Giannis talked about parting ways and his preferred destination would have been to the Knicks. There was some discussions between the Knicks and Bucks about this but it didn’t go any further than preliminary discussions.

    I would love to get him but I think it is down to the Dodgers, Padres, Mariners, Yankees, Mets or Red Sox at this point. Milwaukee is just not a desirable location for someone from Japan.

    Uggg I hate the word game changer. It is so over used and misused. It is now starting to be a corporate buzzword which makes me hate it even more.

    Just like anything else it is far easier to teach what not to do than it is to teach how to do it correctly. Deion though is a really smart player but that doesn’t really mean much if you can’t teach what you know. Ted Williams is probably the greatest example of this one of the greatest hitters of all time but also one of the worst to teach you how to hit. Tony Gwynn is the same as how he taught how to hit would drive some people crazy.

    Turang would move to SS before Durbin ever does. Turang has been a SS for the majority of his time when in the minors. If it wasn’t for his shoulder or arm during spring training he would have been the starting SS this year. The Brewers still see Turang as a SS. The plan was for Durbin/Ortiz at 2B and Turang at SS for this year.

    The Govt' buying a steak in Intel is a soft bailout for Intel. NVDA basically bought out its third tier competition for dedicated consumer graphics cards. Intel was failing in the consumer graphics card industry. There was a market for them but they basically gave up and took NVDA's money to basically bail them out. Steam while not 100% accurate but it has the largest number of users doesn't even have the Intel ARC graphic cards in the top 25 for users. NVDA dominates the consumer graphic cards market and even the low end graphic card market. Intel tried to capture the low end but wasn't ever able to capitalize on it though they did improve this year. Intel still has a strong CPU presence but AMD has been gaining ground on them for the past 5-10 years now. Intel used to be NVDA for CPU's where it had +70% of the market share. The non Arc intel ones are non dedicated GPU's.

    Ole Miss is a top 5 program???? They maybe ranked in the top 5 but I wouldn't put them as a top 5 program. They are not on the same level as Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma or Michigan. Heck I would put Auburn, USC LSU and Notre Dame ahead of Ole Miss and possibly even PSU. The difference in salary between Kiffin and Fickell is about $1mm. Unknown on the bonuses for both so lets say that figure grows to about $2-3mm difference. I already said I wasn't sure he would leave but that is the type of HC I would want at UW. I don't want someone who was an assistant at UW previously. Why does UW have to stick with the boring safe HC's it is like the program gets stuck in we can only do it one way and that is it. UW is stuck in the Bears thinking of we had Payton and the '85 defense that is the only way we can win mentality. Stuck in a bygone era of football doomed to be a failure until those people are removed.

    The only HC I would want to change from Fickell would be Lane Kiffin but I am not sure he will leave Ole Miss. Everyone else who has been mentioned just don't do it for me. They are all blah bland coaches who don't really do anything to make the program better. Kiffin would be that guy who would continue with the recruiting that has been set up so far. I don't really care about recruiting players in WI I just want the best players coming to Wisconsin. Creating a wall inside WI for recruiting is just something that is dumb to me and is unnecessary. If that is the next HC's focus then I know it will be a failure.

    If I would change it I would change it to a walk/hbp = 2 bases and an intentional walk = 3 bases and a strikeout = 2 outs and you choose 4 players to bat in extra innings and only the players who were available to bat in the 9th inning count. Gets you more time to see the best of the best play and less of the bottom of the barrel play. Also would make bullpen management crazy towards the end of a close game.
