  1. The NFC South sucks. The 4 seed could be a team with a losing record.
  2. I am and still am for NIL money going to the players. It was ridiculous for the NCAA to restrict this. Just because they play for a school and get a scholarship doesn’t mean they can’t make money off of their skill sets. It would be like telling those students they can’t get a job that pays them in their field until they graduate. Slavery in the US has been abolished for quite sometime now. College athletes were being treated as slaves for their schools. I am fine with schools not paying the players but the players should be able to get paid however they see as appropriate. If it is from a booster fine if it is from a local business also fine. If it is from a corporation also fine. The NCAA like usual botched it and fumbled with actually doing things that would help the sports and athletes. The NCAA is just looking out for itself and how much money it can bring in.
  3. Money isn’t the factor that the Brewers determine who gets traded it’s how close they are to free agency and if they can get players back that will improve the team. Williams and Hader were traded because of how close they were to free agency not their cost. The Brewers signing other relievers has no impact on the Brewers plans for Ashby as the Brewers tend to like having depth in the bullpen just like other teams do. Though the Brewers do tend to bring in more depth than other teams do. Most teams are going to need more relievers than they have in their opening day roster throughout the season due to injuries or the relievers just sucking. The Brewers adding to the bullpen probably has more to do with them seeing Ashby as a starter and wanting more depth in the bullpen. I wouldn’t be surprised if both Hall and Ashby start out as starters in the rotation during spring training and the first month of the season before one is moved to the bullpen. The same can probably be said about Gasser.
  4. Thanks Packers D. Now I don't have to worry about the game tomorrow!
  5. Apparently the $20mm cap on spending is not enforceable or teams are treating it as non enforceable and are not scared of the committee watching this. PSU, LSU and Auburn are rumored to be going anywhere between $10-16mm over the $20mm maximum.
  6. Rumor is that the top 4 QB’s in the transfer portal will get $4mm+. I think we can exclude UW as a landing spot for any of the top 5. Probably just best to stick with what UW has already and hope for the best. Leavitt’s starting point is rumored to be $4mm and could go as high as $6mm. Raiola and Sorsby are reportedly also in the same range.
  7. In what world is that realistic? Even Willy Wonka would call this a fantasy.
  8. My stock positions that I purchased in 2025 that I will be keeping. NNE, QUBT, EQX, SES, RKLB, ACHR, SERV, OKLO, and AMKR. I am completely unsure of which ones I am going to dump.
  9. They will have to commit to spending more to do so. Along with the QB position the OL is one of the most expensive in terms of NIL and profit sharing from TV deals and ticket sales. I am going to assume that UW is splitting the $20mm that they can spend evenly to MBB, women’s volleyball and football. I don’t believe there is any investment of that $20mm in any other sports other than the men’s and women’s hockey teams. There maybe some going to wrestling but I doubt it is all that much. Probably something like 50% football, 35% MBB, 10% women’s volleyball, 3% hockey and then whatever is left to the other sports maybe if it doesn’t go to the football program or MBB. I believe the $20mm profit sharing is going up to $25mm but I can’t remember exactly if that is the number or if it is more. The majority of schools have football getting 60% or more of that profit sharing from TV deals and ticket sales. The profit sharing with the players is separate from NIL money.
  10. About a month ago I had the Lions easily walking into the playoffs and winning the division now they are easily walking out of the playoffs and finishing third and possibly fourth in the division.
  11. I got the norovirus last Christmas. Thankfully no sickness this year. The norovirus is seriously the worst thing I have ever gotten. The worst 48 hours of my life by far. That is one nasty virus.
  12. LOL. How are we supposed to know they were going to onside kick.
  13. He has never posted anything greater than 0 for OAA in his entire career in RF. He gets horrible reads and jumps on balls. He basically makes the plays he should make anything with an out probability >80% anything below that and he is allowing hits in RF. That is not someone the Brewers are going to stick in RF. Again his best position is in LF or at DH. He is only a RF because he is playing for the Angels anywhere else he is a DH or LF. He should be playing in LF if he is playing any of the OF spots.
  14. None have all that much value hence why I said not enough.
  15. Adell in RF would be a huge mistake. While he is very athletic he just doesn't get good reads on balls hit into the OF and his arm is below average for a RF. You would need to have a prime Lorenzo Cain playing CF to make up for Adell's defense in RF and Frelick is no where near a prime Cain in CF. His best position is in LF and that isn't really a good place to put him either he is still a negative in LF defensively. His best position defensively is at DH. You would need to give up more than Mitchell to get Adell and at that point it just wouldn't be worth it for an all bat and no defense LF/DH. He is about a 1 WAR player which I wouldn't want to give up all that much for him. Power wise he is nice but everything else is just average or way below average.
  16. Can only play who you can play.
  17. You want Williams to beat well he just did!!!
  18. This is a Yankees or Red Sox fan level proposal. You have to give up more than that for Duran. Probably closer to what the Brewers gave up to get Yelich and your proposal comes no where close to that.
  19. Sure but if they are only getting Giannis for 1.5 years they are not going to bid as highly. I still believe if he gets traded it is a couple of first round picks and an expiring contract or two. I don’t expect a young player to come back in a trade.
  20. Supposedly the White Sox are not interested in eating any of Robert’s salary and still want a good return for him. I don’t see how they are going to do this. Also I think Robert should be a DH going forward and not a full time OF.
  21. To make things worse the Bucks only have Giannis for one more season after this season as Giannis can opt out of his contract in the summer of 2027 and pick the team he wants to go to. The Bucks would get nothing if this were to happen. I wouldn't be surprised if teams short the Bucks because of this and the return for Giannis as I have been saying will be smaller than what people are expecting.
  22. But to pick the one that sucked the least is just weird. Better OL play and better QB play would have made the WR’s look better. WR’s catch the ball they can’t catch the ball if the ball is not thrown to them. To question how the WR coach still has a job is just a weird statement to make. When the WR’s did get the ball they were rather good. Both Anthony and Mason had over 10 yards per reception granted they both only had 30 and 31 receptions. To question the WR coach is just laughable. You can’t question someone when there isn’t even enough information to make an informed decision on how well they performed. Take the last game of the season as an example the QB missed a wide open receiver at least three or four times. Not the QB throwing and missing the receiver but the QB not throwing the ball at all to wide open receivers. You can’t blame the WR coach for that.
  23. How is the WR coach at fault for this year? You do know the QB has to throw the ball right??? The WR’s were not a problem this year they have been open a lot and the QB just never got the ball to them. Is the WR coach supposed to be the QB coach also? Is the WR coach also the OL coach to you know block? It’s weird you are singling out the WR coach when that is probably the best of the group on offense. I can’t remember a game where the WR’s were the problem on offense. It was mostly the OL and QB that was the problem. Please explain why you think the WR coach was a problem.
  24. I think this is the logical reasoning here. Not much you can do as a coach when key players get injured and the players replacing them are not physically ready yet. Nearly all freshmen on the OL or DL are not ready to play in college. They are just not physically ready to compete at that level. It is not until their sophomore season or really their junior season that they are physically ready to play at the college level. Even Bostad would have had a hard time having any success with the group Blazek had this year. I wouldn’t be surprised if the 2026 OL looks a whole lot better and it won’t be because of the coaching well not 100%. Majority of it will be because of the players being physically better in year two or year three.
  25. I am still skeptical of his defense at 3B and still see him as a 2B.
