    I don’t believe the 2018 Orioles would have had much interest in Burnes. He was too close to MLB ready at the time. The Orioles were going for a full on rebuild at the time and preferred lower level prospects. The Brewers went hard after Machado in 2018 but the Orioles just didn’t like what the Brewers had to offer in 2018 vs what the Dodgers had. In hindsight it would have been better for them to take Burnes over what they received for both Schoop and Machado.

    The AL West record wise is worse actually the whole of the AL is horrible. There are only 5 teams at or above .500 in the AL. The NL Central has 5 teams at or above .500. The AL West only the A’s have a .500 record. This probably won’t last all season but the AL is looking really bad right now record wise.

    Imanaga vs the Brewers before today's game as Fangraphs hasn't updated their splits yet. 5.73 ERA | 5.00 FIP | 4.77 xFIP. I could only find his ERA against the Brewers with today's start included and it is at 7.52. This is not including his playoff start against the Brewers. He has only two good starts against the Brewers so far in his short career all coming last year. His first year and his only start against the Brewers he gave up 7 earned runs. Everyone but the Brewers he has a 2.97 ERA | 4.03 FIP | 3.92 xFIP. The Brewers definitely see something at the plate vs Imanaga that other teams or players just don't. In his career Imanaga has given up a total of 108 ER against the other teams while he has given up a total of 22ER vs the Brewers. The Brewers have also hit 7 home runs against him.

    OMG that Buffalo and Montreal series was crazy! This has to be one of the best NHL playoffs in awhile. WOW! just wow! Back to back great series. Probably going to be a let down after this.

    On the radio they said it hit the score board and bounced out of the park but hard to tell on the replay as the quality isn't the greatest due to the compression of the video on the usual social media sites.     Not really. There is not much out there to be honest. Rutschman would be one but the Brewers already have Contreras there. In the OF there is not much there. Maybe a deal with the Yankees for Jasson Dominguez but that would require the Brewers to trade from their MLB roster to do that and I am not sure what the Yankees would want in return. A Volpe for Ortiz trade makes a little sense for both teams, though not sure either team would be interested in doing that swap.

    Apparently it was and wasn’t Doc’s fault? Looks like Giannis was the ones pulling the strings here. Always being late for things and not being fined.     Ticket sales for Wresltemania were crazy expensive this year. I think the cheapest package was like $500. Also doesn’t help it was in Vegas again and everything in Vegas has like doubled to tripled the price. Even downtown Vegas has become unaffordable. Even with the cheapest tickets you are spending about $2-3k for that event when you include food, flights and transportation.

    Butler would refuse to play in Milwaukee. You would have to trade Butler or release him so I think that trade is dead in the water unless you can get a third team involved to take on Butler and that probably eats one or both of the picks.

    Wilken hasn’t shown any progress and it is TBD for Fischer. Burke I think we have seen enough and he looks to be a good prospect. Not elite but a good prospect but he is only entering his second full season in the minors. His nearly .600 slugging in the southern league is very impressive but it’s still early. Bitonti is still young yet and doesn’t turn 21 until November. Still with his first time playing 100 games last year he put in a good year. The strikeouts look to be an issue and seems to be an issue this year also. Overall I would put Fischer and Bitonti in the TBD category with Wilken in the in danger of losing a roster spot and Burke in a solid bench bat or fringe starting 1B. Burke kind of reminds me of Bauers. I think the Brewers should continue drafting how they have been drafting.

    It was also an issue going back to Braun. Braun was another who would frustrate me on taking that first pitch even if it split the middle of the plate fastball.

    I think with Mitchell his approach changes completely with men on base. I haven’t checked but I think he swings earlier in the count with men on than when there is no one on. I think this is what is killing his power as he is getting to too many two strike counts where he hasn’t swung the bat or watched the one pitch he could handle and then swung at the others. I think Mitchell needs to start swinging earlier in the count when he is getting pitches to hit. It seems like pitchers are throwing him get me over strikes and he is allowing them to get ahead in the count. He needs to be more aggressive early.

    It’s also Fischer’s first full year of minor league baseball. He is where he should be. I think his WBC performance put an overly higher expectations on him. It is also early in the year I am not all that worried about Fischer with it being his first full year in the system.

    No idea who they will go with. Lopez makes sense if the Bucks are going to do a full rebuild but I doubt they will do that.

    I remember when people questioned if Turang would even be an average MLB player. I was on the band wagon of him being a Trea Turner type and was ridiculed saying this. Looks like Turang is turning into Trea Turner.

    The two FA years would have to be about $50mm in total so I think you need to up the offer to around $175mm.

    You have to give up at least one premium prospect for someone like Buxton. Fischer is the more logical choice or likely candidate in a trade for Buxton. I don’t see the Brewers doing this. The more likely trade is Wilken for a reliever or something similar.
