  1. Went to the Vatican today and wasn’t elected the Pope. Also the Sistine Chapel is closed to visitors.
  2. Obviously Lyle Overbay.
  3. Nice strawman argument but still my answer is I don’t care and it still doesn’t matter. So if you are working and your employer gives you a free breakfast, lunch and dinner and then says oh we are not paying you any more since we give you your meals you would be ok with that? This is exactly how college athletes were being treated. The colleges were making millions of dollars off of the athletes while only giving them about 1% of that earnings. It was literally legalized slavery. Yes and scholarships are basically a wage well sort of it is just that no money is changing hands. The school is basically just waiving the fee for the person to attend. It is similar to a bar if it has a cover charge to enter and then waives it for you to enter. There are still other costs that you will incur if you decide to do anything else in that bar. The same is true for the school. Not to mention the school isn’t really losing money as it would just be a write off if it is a private school. There are enough federal and state programs where they could easily replace that money lost for a few students each year. I don’t really see a problem here the vast majority won’t get paid all that much. Bobby from random small town in WI won’t be getting paid $50k a year by Nike. Majority will only get paid at best $5k which isn’t really all that much in the grand scheme of things. Yes there will be some who will get more but that isn’t any different than any other job or anything else.
  4. You obviously have no idea on how much work it takes to create the videos. It is not a few minutes it is hours upon hours of work. You spend about 1-4 hours to make a 1 minute video. High school kids getting NIL money is fine. I doubt many will get more than they would by working at McDonald’s part time.
  5. Should it be illegal to hire them to work at said company? Some high school kids already make some money off of YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram and Twitch. What makes this any different? I don’t really care about a sanctity of a sport. So if some kid in HS can make money doing what they are doing I am all for it. I don’t care if it’s sports, influencing or playing video games. If you can make money off of it great if not great also. Age shouldn’t matter either. People complain that younger generations are not putting in “hard” work. But when they do old people complain that they are destroying everything and they are lazy and should be doing “hard” work.
  6. I hate O’HareI hate O’Hare I hate O’Hare I hate O’Hare. Stupid airport I hate it all of the lounges are garbage. Also I am a bigger dude I can deal with the smaller seats width wise that doesn’t bother me but OMG American Airlines not everyone is five foot four. Domestic flight at most it is four hours but a 9 hour international flight and I couldn’t even use the head rest. Ugggg the business class wasn’t any better just another two inches taller but wider. Stupid American Airlines my least favorite airline of all time. Spirit is better than American Airlines.
  7. I am going on a cruise tomorrow in the Mediterranean. Should be fun I hope. Usually I just vacation in Vegas, Nashville or Miami. This will be different for me also first time out of the country for me. I think I have mentioned this before but you may want to consider Vietnam as a retirement option.
  8. Why not just join COSTCO?
  9. Another example the Cubs vs Pirates today opened at +105 money for the Cubs. Took the Cubs as the Pirates bullpen is garbage. All the Cubs had to do was hold the Pirates to 2 or less runs and score 1 run against Skenes and they have a really good chance of winning. I am not sure if the odds are taking home field advantage and adding in a sizeable favorite to the home team or what here. I will take it though that was another easy $100. I don't bet crazy amounts at most it is $100 and my average bet is around $25. Don't bet more than what you can afford to lose. So far I have won on the Nuggets, Pacers, T'wolves and Cubs in the last 5 or 6 days. These were all underdog picks.
  10. I thought there was a thread setup for this already but my searching skills have diminished. Anyways anyone else notice at least in the NBA playoffs there have been a bunch of easy money line bets? For example last night the T’Wolves were +185 on the money line and I took that and won. Anyone else finding these odds to be rather weird lately and weirdly in favor of some easy bets?

  12. I removed Wilkes from the top 20 and I don’t even feel all that bad about it. Feels like he is a huge disappointment so far. I thought maybe getting some time in the AFL would help him get over getting hit in the face but it doesn’t look like he’s improved at all.
  13. That wouldn't have gotten the Brewers Mayo. You would have had to add in Chourio to get the Orioles to listen on Mayo last year. Burnes and Chourio for Mayo, Ortiz and another piece or two. Basically you would have had to blow away the Orioles to have received Mayo in a trade. If Devin Williams was healthy maybe you could have done Burnes and Williams for Mayo, Hall and the comp pick but I am not sure the Orioles would have went for that either.
  14. Dame to be successful needs someone who can do a pick and roll. Giannis gets absolutely lost in a pick and roll go back to early last season before Doc became the HC and you will see what I am talking about. Giannis is just so limited in his offensive sets that a player like Dame just doesn’t fit with him. It is probably best for him to go to the Spurs and play there. That team has a compliment players for Giannis to play and thrive with. The Bucks don’t have the pieces and I think Giannis knows this. The Bucks are going to have a hard time convincing him to stay for more than one season. I still believe this is it for Giannis in Milwaukee.
  15. Megill really hasn't been all that good to start the year. I am not sure he has looked good at all. Fastball is there but he is looking like Turnbow up there.
  16. When did Yelich turn into Alfonso Soriano?
  17. Why would he want to stay?
  18. Mitchell a bit to under the ball and Ortiz a bit too far over the ball.
  19. I want to keep Giannis but if he demands a trade there is no way the Bucks are going to be able to convince him to stay. The best they can do is run it back again with the current roster maybe minus Lopez. Is that a championship caliber team? Is the current team a championship caliber team? If any of those answers are a no then I don’t see Giannis wanting to stay. I don’t believe the Bucks will want to trade Giannis but he will force them into a trade. This is just how the NBA works and has been working for a while now. Enjoy Giannis for the next two as a Buck because I believe this is the final two games he will be playing for the Bucks.
  20. He needs to find the touch on his slider and he should be good again. Right now everyone is just sitting on the fastball as he can't locate the slider.
  21. The Dbacks announcers are extremely hard to listen to. Bob Brenly makes me want to pour bleach down my ears.
  22. These next two home games are probably the last time we will see Giannis in a Bucks jersey. I don't see how he will want to stay on this team. The team isn't even close now to contending for a championship which is and was one of Giannis' demand to stay with the team. The Bucks don't have the assets to make a trade for a #3 and they don't have the cap space to sign one either. I think Giannis and Dame get traded and it happens during the draft with Giannis and Dame staying quiet to the media but the Bucks are told they want out. Knicks and Heat come out the winners on this one. In the Knicks trade below the Bucks get another pick but it is in 2033. Giannis to the Knicks: Dame to the Heat:
  23. Our newest gen-z hire is heavy into conspiracy theories like simulation theory and birds are not real. She 100% believes in these conspiracy theories. What is wrong with gen z?
