  1. Who also play in the NL.
  2. Triples are nearly all luck based not really a "hustle" category. I hate that saying hustle. Seriously? If you are going to look at hustle you should be looking at Hardy when he is running down the line at 1B. Please don't talk about hustle with Hardy he does not hustle down the line and he has to be one of the slowest players on the base paths. Triples are extremely luck based. Triples are not turned into doubles by the runner more times than not triples are turned into doubles by the fielder. Also doubles are turned into triples by fielders more than by the runner. There are very few players in the league that turn doubles into triples Hardy and Fielder are not those type of players. Please bring facts to the table when you are going to call out a player.
  3. I really wish Redd wouldn't have gotten injured during the year. I believe the Bucks would have been able to ship Redd away a lot easier than trying to move RJ even though I believe Cleveland would have taken RJ and it would have helped us a lot this offseason. I'm not that familiar with the NBA's salary cap rules but I wonder if the Bucks can trade away RJ or Redd this offseason and somehow get out of some of the money owed to those two players. Redd won't be able to be dealt during the offseason but he is definitely a candidate during the deadline next year hopefully the Bucks do the right thing this next season and if things are not going good in the season to trade away Redd and RJ. This offseason would have been a perfect storm to redo the team and make it into Skyles team. Draft Holiday to play the PG and then run the offense through Bogut. The Bucks would only then need to find a shooter to help out Bogut on the perimeter. McNeal and other second round players could have been a perfect choice for that even Bell would be a decent option or Sessions out on the perimeter. Just a very frustrating decision made by the Bucks not to trade RJ during the deadline.
  4. No way the Knicks pass up on Stephen Curry. He fits their system perfectly I don't see how or why the Knicks would pass up on Curry. I would rather trade down though and take Ty Lawson. There is only two teams behind the Bucks who really need a PG or would pick a PG. Detroit and Phoenix are the only two teams I would be worried about taking Lawson but the Bucks could possibly trade that pick away for a pick this year and next year to one of those two teams. I am still mad that the Bucks didn't trade RJ away during the deadline. The Bucks would be in a perfect position this offseason to keep their players and have a good PG. Remember Redd is going to be starting the year hurt yet. So the Bucks are going to have to find someone to fill in for Redd.
  5. I would have flipped Cameron and Hall in the lineup. Have Hall bat 5th with his excellent numbers against lefties. Later in the game you could always switch Hall with Gamel when they bring in a right hander in to face Hall. And you would still have Iribarren and Counsel on the bench to put in for defensive purposes.
  6. Draft lottery tonight. With ESPN's mock draft lottery they have the Bucks taking Jrue Holiday a G from UCLA at the 10th pick in the draft. I wouldn't mind taking Holiday since he could become a great PG in the league but I would rather take my chances and trading down and taking Ty Lawson in the 15th-20th pick range. I'm still not sure how the Bucks will be able to stay below the salary cap. I believe if the Bucks take Lawson or Holiday that Sessions will be let go and they will resign Villanueva or possibly resign neither of them which would be a big mistake. The Bucks will still have to find more depth for their team if they lose both Sessions and Villanueva. Forgot to add the link to the draft lottery thing at ESPN.
  7. ESPN do research on something? You are asking for the impossible.
  8. You forgot about Polanco but if the Tigers are still in it I doubt the Tigers would trade Polanco.
  9. Actually I hope the Brewers take their time this time with Weeks and his injury. I believe the Brewers last time rushed Weeks back or he rushed himself back before getting 100% healthy and he should have been in the minors rehabbing that injury longer than he did. I hope Weeks is babied back and not rushed back.
  10. Erik Bedard is more comparable to Manny Parra than the other two pitchers listed. Just that I don't think Parra starts to quit near the 100 pitch mark like Bedard does. At least I hope he doesn't quit when his pitch count starts to get up there.
  11. Dang(wanted to say something more stronger than that) that sucks. Weeks was playing good so far this year and it looked like everything was going good for him and then this happens. So do the Brewers bring up Iribarren or Escobar to play 2B. Escobar was working out at 2B during spring training. I guess we will find out soon enough who will be replacing Weeks at 2B. This does open up a spot for Gamel though. Maybe with Hall and Counsell playing a soft platoon at 2B. Not an ideal situation but one the Brewers should look at. The other option is Escobar or Iribarren. Yes I know McGehee can play 2B I just don't see him as an everyday 2B I would rather have Hall at 2B with Counsell than Counsell and McGehee.
  12. Are there any books that deal with Darth Vader just before Episode IV? There is a lot of missing information between Episode III and Episode IV about 16 or so years is it?
  13. Can the Penguins and Capitals play for the Stanley Cup? That was an entertaining series. By far better than any of the NBA series but yet it doesn't even get half the play time as the Lakers and Rockets series or the Celtics and Magic series. I don't like watching hockey on TV all that much but that series was the greatest series I have seen in a long time in any sport.
  14. MLB.com articles on Brandon Webb Article 1 Article 2 Article 3 Brandon Webb Fantasy News The first two articles are related it was thought he would only need 3 weeks of rest before seeing how it was it then changed to 6 weeks. The third article talks about him throwing, the first two are the most recent articles. You can follow his progress in the fantasy news about Webb. I'm not sure the Brewers should go after Webb but it isn't a very risky move either though since it is just a team option for 2010 and the Brewers really wouldn't be on the hook for a lot of salary like if they traded for Peavy. I'm not confident in Webb pitching any time soon though. With very little to go on what is wrong with his shoulder it is hard to tell what exactly you could expect. If anything though this injury may drop his trade value down and it wouldn't take a lot to get him but still I would assume it would start with Escobar or a pitching prospect. A quick edit to answer TBWS Webb has a team option for 2010.
  15. This is the gamble that the NFL and NBA were making when thinking about putting a franchise in Las Vegas. I still believe Vegas is going to get a NBA franchise before Seattle gets one again. There is going to be a professional sports team in Las Vegas it is just a matter of time. The lure of the tourism dollars will be too much for one of the leagues to pass up.
  16. If one of the casino owner really wanted to bring a sports team into Vegas they could get creative and have the stadium be a casino/hotel. Which would address most of the problems.
  17. Will Gamel start tonight at 3B or will Macha go with Counsell tonight at 3B?
  18. Las Vegas wouldn't have a problem with the smaller media market and Charlotte wouldn't have the problem the Nationals, Marlins, and Rays have. Those teams have the transplanted Red Sox, Yankees, and Cubs fans to deal with. Charlotte really wouldn't have this problem as much as those teams have. The media market is small but I just don't see another New York team being added. Indianapolis is an interesting one though. With Las Vegas you know you will have a national media audience and is the main reason why you hear about the NBA and to a lesser extent the NFL wanting to put a team there. With the tourism in Las Vegas it becomes a very high media market that the leagues would want to exploit.
  19. Can the Brewers please change the starting lineup music. Last years was good and actually got me excited and into the game but this years it is lacking something that I can't put my finger on. Anyone else feel that the intro is just bleh.
  20. You can also go here at Newegg to find the RAM you need. As for the hard drive you can get a new hard drive for a rather cheap price that will hold more than the 80GB at Newegg. If you know the model number of your desktop PC just put it into google and you should find the specs and what you can add to the PC.
  21. Smoltz and Penny could also be available depending on where Boston believes they are going otherwise Masterson and Buchholz could be available. Other not so top notch pitchers that could be available: Doug Davis, Kevin Milwood, Vicente Padilla, Carl Pavano, Jarrod Washburn, and Jason Schmidt (I don't believe he has pitched yet this year though and really isn't a trade candidate but could be a good risky signing next offseason though.). Another top notch starter that could be available from the Diamondbacks is Brandon Webb. The Diamondbacks have a 2010 option for Webb and I doubt they would trade him if he gets healthy since they would probably get more for him next year than they would this year. Felix Hernandez is also another name to throw out there. I believe he is on the same track arbitration wise as Prince is. It would take a lot to get Felix from the Mariners but he is another possibility. Lackey is also a free agent after this year and could be on the block but I highly doubt he is unless the Angels fall out of contention and then I still would have my doubts on him being on the trading block.
  22. Not really top notch starters but Niemann, Sonnanstine, and Cliff Lee are possibilities. Niemann or Sonnanstine could be traded to make way for Price who the Rays will not keep in the minors for the rest of the year. I believe the Rays are looking to see what they will need to compete with the Red Sox and the Yankees. Here is a big maybe and I doubt the Astros would make a deal with a division rival but Roy Oswalt could be available. I'm not sure what the Brewers would have to trade to get Oswalt. I'm guessing Escobar+ to get Oswalt.
  23. Is that really a bad thing though? You wouldn't want both Braun and Fielder cold at the same time. It would be nice to have them both hot at the same time but as long as one is hot I can live with that.
  24. Looks like Prince is heating up. Nice opposite field HR there Prince!
  25. Wow what a weird play. How did Hardy score from first on that error?
