  1. I think after this season it will be interesting what this team does. Do they tear it down or do they try and get a 3rd superstar? Will Giannis request a trade if they don’t improve?
  2. Yes but you also need to receive value back. Trading Quero+ for Cease would be a negative value for the Brewers. So the other team would need to give up something else here.
  3. Yes prospects are just prospects but wasting said assets on a 1-year rental is just dumb. If you want to trade someone like Quero you do it for someone with more control. It is not the trading of Quero that is the problem it is the player coming back that is the problem.
  4. What do you mean they don't know their history? They called it a Mo Vaughn signing which implies neither a good or bad signing just a player that they thought he would emulate if a team signed him to a long term contract. I was thinking more Ryan Howard but they didn't think Alonso would drop as fast as Howard did so they said Mo Vaughn. You read way too much into what was actually said.
  5. My friends called him a Mo Vaughn signing to whoever signs him long term.
  6. The people I talked to are non Brewers people. I only asked their opinion on what they thought the Brewers would do. These are just some people that I know who work in front offices in MLB.
  7. Alonso basically had to resign with the Mets as other teams were not interested in signing him to a long term contract and losing their pick or so I have been told. Alonso also preferred to come back to the Mets on a short term deal as he was only looking for a long term deal with a team not named the Mets. I was told the Angels were interested in Alonso but nothing ever came of the interest. Brewers had some internal conversations but that is as far as it went. I wouldn't be surprised if the next CBA removes the losing of a pick for signing QO'd players. I think the team losing the player will still get a pick and the QO will still be there but the losing of a pick will be removed. Both the players and teams are not fully happy with the QO system. I asked my contacts what they think the Brewers will do at 3B and they said they believe the Brewers will just stick with Ortiz at 3B and move Turang to SS. They don't expect the Brewers to add anyone in FA for 3B.
  8. LOL From the investopedia link you quoted: You continue to dig yourself in a hole with your lying.
  9. Again it did not start the great depression. You said it kicked it off. No one is saying it didn't hurt the economy during that period. You were the one who said it was kicked off by the tariffs when it was not. The article you linked to doesn't even state it kicked off the great depression. Again you are just lying and now putting up word salads to cover it up. The real kick off of the great depression was the Federal Reserve. From Milton Friedman: https://www.pbs.org/fmc/interviews/friedman.htm QUESTION: What happened during the Depression? MILTON FRIEDMAN: We have to distinguish what we mean when we talk about the Great Depression. What you had was that in 1929 the United States was in a boom. It hit a relative high point. And the stock market crashed in October 1929. But that was not the cause of what caused the Great Depression. It was, in my opinion, a very minor element of it. What happened was that from 1929 to 1933 you had a major contraction which, in my opinion, was caused primarily by the failure of the Federal Reserve System, to follow the course of action for which it was set up. It was set up to prevent exactly what happened from 1929 to 1933. But instead of preventing it, they facilitated it. The Depression, I may say, which started in 1929 was rather mild from 1929 to 1930. And, indeed, in my opinion would have been over in 1931 at the latest had it not been that the Federal Reserve followed a policy which led to bank failures, widespread bank failures, and led to a reduction in the quantity of money. What happened was that for every $100 of money, by which I mean the cash that people keep in their pockets, and the deposits they have in the bank, for every $100 of money that there was in 1929, by 1933 there was only $67. The Federal Reserve allowed the quantity of money to decline by a third. While, at all times, it had the possibilities and the power of preventing that from happening.
  10. OK your source is trust me bro. Like I said you are lying and now are trying to say oh it is just what I remembered. Stop lying.
  11. I am curious what is your source? This should be funny.
  12. I think they are preparing to not make the playoffs and are starting the sell off early. Probably will hear that Giannis will want out after this season. Probably will go cheap for next year with a massive sell off of Giannis and Dame. Though this rebuild will take a long time to fulfill. Probably looking at a 5-10 year rebuild.
  13. This is not true and is a completely made up lie. The Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act did not kick start the great depression.
  14. That pick is frozen unless they are able to get below the second apron before the end of this season. So being under the 1st and 2nd apron next season is great but the pick will still be frozen. They will have to stay under the 2nd apron for the next 3 seasons otherwise it will be permanently frozen at 30. From the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6092589/2025/02/04/bucks-trade-deadline-primer/
  15. Didn't see this posted. Yelich and Chourio in the top 10 LF's in MLB.
  16. The Bucks have to get under the 2nd apron or their 2032 pick becomes frozen meaning they can’t trade it. If they stay above the 2nd apron for two more season it will become the 30th pick regardless what their record is for that season. So if the Bucks have the worst record in the league in 2032 they will pick 30th if they don’t get under the 2nd apron soon. That Connaughton contract is killing this team just an absolutely awful and dumb contract.
  17. Be ready to pay a high price for Garrett. Multiple first round picks plus more at a minimum. I would think it would cost 2025 1st, 2026 1st, 2025 2nd and a couple of 3-5 round picks. Nearly every team in the league that can add Garrett’s salary will be trying to trade for him. Unless you are willing to give up Love and a first round pick for him I don’t see the Packers winning a bidding war for him.
  18. Another loss at home this time to a ranked team so not as bad as the previous loss. They can’t lose another in conference game going forward if they want a top 4 seed. If they lose another they are probably looking at a 6 or 7 seed. Have to basically win out and at least make the championship conference game to stay in the top 4.
  19. Dallas did a bit better than the Bucks did when they traded Ray Allen. That is the only trade I can think of right now that is similar.
  20. AI future:
  21. In the next 5 years it is probably going to be a bunch of OnlyFans AI bots.
  22. I hate how my company calculates the tax for my bonus they use the aggregate method so bonus + monthly pay over 12 months. Which puts me in the 33% tax bracket I think. Screw you Uncle Sam stop taking muh moneyz!
  23. This doesn’t make me feel any better about the loss. They should still be beating these teams.
  24. Another loss to a bad team. Yes I know it was a back to back on the road. They still need to win that game against a bad team.
