  1. I don't think who the fans worry about playing matters one iota.
  2. It looks like a good game on paper but I'm a little worried about Hopkins breaking the single-game receiving record.
  3. The individual presale games appear to have been refunded but none of the strip purchases have been.
  4. I would for sure check into that... Sounds about right, overcharge you, chase you away, then deprive themselves of you coming back, even if they lose money in the process. You need to look into/learn the ins and outs of a VPN or something. $238 is insanity.
  5. Haines is out.
  6. There are a lot of large market teams that have also quite simply drafted a lot better than Milwaukee, particularly when it comes to offense. We can make lots of noise about the uneven playing field and it is valid, but for all the spending the Dodgers have done they have also drafted incredibly well and been an overall very well-run team. And yes CLE is small market.
  7. There was an odd love affair with Stafford before the season even began so he would be my front runner for MVP.
  8. I highly doubt Kyrie ever gets vaccinated. A more likely scenario is the mandate is changed or lifted at some point. Or...he's traded for someone that helps. But I don't see that guy backing off and getting the vaccine. But even so, I still think that group finds some other way to self-destruct, whether it's injuries or just falling apart mentally. I also think the Bucks are better than last season.
  9. This has been my position all off-season but I feel emboldened on it now even though yeah, it's just one meaningless game. The Bucks threat in the East won't be Brooklyn. They are too much of a mess. Kyrie is a mess, Harden won't be fit and healthy, the rest of the team just isn't good. It's KD, which will keep them competitive, but basically what his teams in OKC were. The threat will be Miami or an upstart Indiana with Carlisle or some under the radar squad that gels. I just don't see this Nets team beating the Bucks. It's all flash and no substance and I just think the Bucks will be better than they were last year.
  10. It's hard to see anyone in the West getting a bye due to their slate of divisional games. Even SF/SEA are contested games so there are likely some losses in there for everyone. GB would do itself a big favor beating Arizona or LA. Scheduling likely gives the advantage to Dallas. Tampa's not really playing a gauntlet of games either.
  11. The way they are playing is truly meaningless. It's all about collecting wins any way you can until December. Then get as healthy as possible, but all teams have 2 months to get a little better where they stink. The Packers just need to be about league average defensively to have a chance. And this year they have some much better litmus tests during the season than they did last year.
  12. I really liked it. Obviously graphic but I would say it's pretty "light" in the sense you don't have to think too hard. Also liked Midnight Mass, a few scenes of way too long and drawn out dialogue not withstanding.
  13. If the Braves end up finishing this off, I had a thought that the Brewers were knocked out by the eventual (or obvious as it was LCS) league champion in 2008, 2011, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. Besides this unfinished season, only the Dodgers in '18 didn't win the World Series. That's pretty incredible.
  14. Oof, Jaylon Smith will fight right in with those open field skills, lol.
  15. Packers-Bears and Packers-Lions has been such bad TV for so long. I guess I should be happy about it but it always feels like a sloppy game and one you're not excited to win but humiliated to lose.
  16. They gave him the catch otherwise it would be 4th down. The PI was pretty lame though.
  17. I mentioned earlier, but the Pats WERE going to call a timeout. The only reason they didn't was that BB looked at the Seattle sideline sideline and just felt something was amiss. He thought calling the timeout was a bailout, so he let it ride.
  18. Trade DS for Francisco Alvarez!
  19. King out, I'm ok with this. If Jaire can come back this year, I'm all for a bunch of random guys getting shots to prove they can play.
  20. OF/IF arm strength are really two different animals. I doubt he's a + at either, but he may be mediocre enough in RF. Different types of throws.
  21. Yeah sorry, but, you're at the 1 or 2 yard line with the best bruiser in the league. It's the Super Bowl. You run it in. It's lunacy, or trying way too hard to be the genius of the hour to do anything else. Disagree on the clock though. I'm absolutely running that time off just like they did. They just bungled the play at the end.
  22. He's been worse than Yelich, so it probably feels like random luck.
  23. Yelich situation alone is probably enough to justify bringing in a renowned hitting coach if one is out there. I just doubt it makes much of a difference, if at all. But with the pitching staff we have, any small improvement in the offense could be big. I'm fine with firing Haines. Just feel pretty sure it's a talent problem.
