  1. Especially with all the spelling and grammar checking tools out there. Some of the basics missed is appauling.
  2. Oh, I know it is about the clicks, but even the article titles are so bad it isn't even enticing. But it goes beyond the normal writers too. I see them on FB feeds for groups that follow WI sports. People proudly post their sim draft and say, "Look at who the Packers got!!!" I think this might actually make it worse for the GMs because people think that is all it takes to get Player X. Well, I moved up and took the #1 player on the board, why couldn't Gute???
  3. The draft sim tools that have come out in the last couple years are really cool.... but the articles on every Tom, Dick, and Harry's simluated drafts are getting ridiculous. I even saw one article that blasted Gute because he could potentially do this draft the author did.... Really??? This is what "jounalism" has come to?
  4. Kevin Love has some buzz. Would be similar to Bobby P type player, but a bit shorter. Seems like they could use another big after Ibaka is gone. Not sure Kevin is exactly that, but if Bobby is out much longer he might make sense.
  5. Yes, I was having the same thought. They don't look like they are trying that hard but they are still winning regularly. Obviously, they need some time to get Mids back in the flow fully and JC back in shape and fitting into the team, but you hope this is them on cruise control rather than their "new norm".
  6. Squeaking one out against Boston without 4 starters was a bit annoying. But they had several guys go off and have huge unexpected games, too. Yeah, I was wondering about how that wasn't a foul on White. He came from behind, didn't get near the basketball and clearly hit him across the body while in mid air. A little harder and he could've easily taken Jrue's feet out from underneath and causing him to land hard.
  7. Holy double posting batman! Seems like a systemic issue here! But for the article, it would've been good to note how many groundballs the Brewers also incur on defense compared to others. Seems like we have a pretty high-K rate group so there are simply fewer GBs to go around. Especially if Houser ends up in the pen this year.
  8. My college years would've been much more fulfilling after moving to Milwaukee and actually seeing some games... if Molly had been there. Would've been great to have him on the team when Yount hit his 3000th, too.
  9. I'm not sure how I romaticized it... You basically described the same thing. He sat out at the 3pt land and shot well enough to keep someone had to stay out with him. He didn't need the ball in his hands and made room for GIannis by keeping one defender from collapsing or capitolizing when they did. I never said he was better offensively than Crowder...but he plays more in the same space as Giannis. Thus, Tucker being the better fit. Tucker's 39% 3pt range might only be better than Crowder by 4%, but his offense as a whole is different. I still think it is an interesting fit. He can D-up Tatum and other wings. Would be interesting if we meet Phoenix in the finals...
  10. Tucker was the perfect fit for the Bucks. Played D on almost anyone and on offense, was an excellent 3pt shooter that barely left 3pt land... so it let the rest of the team play 4 on 4, which opens things for Giannis. Crowder isn't the 3pt shooter that Tucker is (not on average anyway). It will be interesting. Lots of interesting names on the potential buyout list...maybe more interesting than I thought.
  11. We also cleared up 2 roster spots so it might be interesting to see who is available in the buy-out market. Never much there, but some C depth might be good. with Ibaka gone.
  12. Yeah, Ax-man doesn't make this list IMO. Also, I'm surprised there was no shout out for Trevor Hoffman. His numbers with Milwaukee don't compare, but he did achieve his 600th save as a Brewer and retired after 2 seasons with the Crew as the all-time saves leader.
  13. I wonder how much the transfer media buzz of players flocking to WI has helped with the HS recruits. Certainly has to perk up a kids ears to see all sorts of 3 and 4 star recruits suddenly transferring in...
  14. yes, thanks. We realize it isn't current. That doesn't change that it is still the best logo.
  15. Ball & Glove Logo is the best logo out there. Hands down. They gave him the best of the best.
  16. No reason to be down in the mouth about the situation... 😂 Sorry, I'll show myself out (and yes, I've had 2 root canals...one of the emergency vareity)
  17. I'm sure I'll get to in in the next 3-4 years... 😂 I just watched the entire Godzilla King of Monsters so I can watch Godzilla vs Kong. (Which I'll say was "ok" ).
  18. Rick Manning's main claim to fame is as the guy that ended Paul Molitors 39 game hitting streak. Not a fair claim to fame (he had a game winning hit with Pauly on deck), but that still is the only thing I remember him for...
  19. I'll give Deer #5 just for Easter day 1987. 😉 But yes, a sentimental favorite of mine as a kid - Moliter then Deer for my 12 yo self. Burnitz was #1 in helicoptering bats into the stands and was certainly a nice find on a bad team, but Yellich's peak as MVP give him the edge, IMO. I forgot how good Hart actually was....
  20. They are going to have to increase it to two calls in order to pay the increased commercial costs...
  21. Yeah, Scott Po was a fun story as a waiver wire pickup, but Mr. Untuckem' and LoCain certainly were better CFers. I mean Cameron should be #2 simply from how he annoyed the Cardinals so much by untucking his jersey!
  22. Frankly, I'd expect it to work just like that... I mean, the advertising agencies aren't dummies. They know what works. Not a drug example... but back when I bought my first computer (a sweet 25MHz x486 with 250MB HD and 2MB RAM), my dad wanted to give me whatever advice he could in making this $1000 purchase. My dad is very blue collar and loathed technology. So mustering all his knowledge of electronics, he asked me, "Did you get Intel inside?" When someone is struggling with something and it is in an area they aren't comfortable with (i.e. medicines), yes they will default to TV ads.
  23. I'm rarely recent on my movie watching so bear with me... Saw "Knives Out" and really enjoyed it. Daniel Craig's Kentucky drawl was bad (especially early in the film), but the plot and the twists were excellent. I figured out the how, but not the who of the movie. I had both of Kenneth Branagh's Hercule Poirot movies figured out before the end (Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile - still good movies), but this one had me guessing to the end. On the opposite side, I saw Wonder Woman 1984.... ugh. How bad can a super hero movie be??? I can't think of a single redeeming aspect of this film. It just kept getting worse and worse. Pedro, this is not the way!
  24. Wouldn't Rodgers make them a better TV draw? Bump up their merch sales? Butts in the seats isn't the biggest revenue maker anymore...
