    I feel like every year when pictures start coming in from spring training we all comment on how big Rickie looks. It seems like Rickie works really hard every offseason which makes me feel confident about his contract extension.

    Strangely, as I was reading this, the Subway commercial for 5 dollar footlongs came on and they specifically mentioned the steak and cheese sandwich as being only $5 so it sounds like you got screwed. I guess it's possible franchisees have the option about whether to be a part of the promotion or not. Also, I agree with everything you said in the 2nd paragraph.

    Best episode of the season and probably one of my all time favorite Office episodes. I would totally pay money to see Threat Level Midnight.

    That was my first thought too when I heard this. It seems every year when they are national television they are in the middle of a losing streak. Also, your reference to your post total made me laugh.

    My Packer euphoria is starting to wear down so spring training is coming just at the right time. I can't wait for the spring training games to start.

    I'm not a big award show person but I love that Arcade Fire won album of the year at the Grammys. Seems like it's the first time in a while that a real group of musicians has actually won the top honor.

    A super bowl victory and a world series victory in the same year sounds nice.

    Looks like Will Ferrell is going to be on the Office. Should be pretty funny as long as he doesn't try too hard to be the star of the show.

    The poutine looks pretty awesome but I have to go with the kabob. One of my hardest decisions when I go to a game is which sausage to get. This would solve that.

    I really thought at the beginning of the offseason that Pavano would be the "big" signing the Brewers would make to improve their rotation. Seeing this signing makes me that much more excited about the moves we made and this season.

    I had a friend in college who had a severe stutter and he couldn't really hear himself doing it. He ended up getting a hearing aid type thing that helped him hear himself for a couple years and it made a world of a difference. It went from a pretty severe stutter to a very mild and barely noticeable one. I saw him for the first time in a couple years recently and I was shocked at how much it had improved without wearing the aid anymore. I can't really add anything to the science of it but I can vouch that stutters often are due to the person not being able to hear it.

    Not too surprising. I didn't think there would be any teams willing to commit to him as their closer this year. Congrats on a great career Trevor!!!

    I still think the Cubs will finish behind the Brewers, Cardinals, and Reds but it definitely improves their team. There are going to be some great pitching matchups in the NL Central this year.

    I would have been really mad if he had gone to the Cubs. I'm glad I'll be able to root for him to do well now.

    I caught it last week and actually posted about it in the random off topic thread. His cars weren't very impressive but a very nice house. I laughed when he went down in his "man cave" and his tattoo artist was hanging out down there. Prince also has a urinal in his bathroom which I thought was awesome.

    Pleasantly surprised with this signing. Low risk and someone who could really help the team. Let's hope he has at least 1 more year in him.

    Just wanted to wish everyone here a Merry Christmas. So what was your favorite thing you got and the favorite thing you gave? I got a blue ray player (welcome to 2010 Hofbraunhaus) and my sisters and I gave our parents a gift basket for their trip to the Rose Bowl (gift certificate to a nice restaurant, t-shirts, etc.)

    Prince Fielder is showing his house on MTV cribs right now. Cars are pretty unimpressive but I did like the urinal in the bathroom.

    I agree that SS is the bigger issue but the thought of Hart in CF and Gamel in right makes me shudder. Let's hope it doesn't come to this.

    Zack Morris needs to get the Zack Attack band back together to play at Miller Park when Greinke starts.
