    I was getting annoyed by the waving, dancing guys that were visible behind every right-handed batter via the 1st base line camera.

    Axford did what he's supposed to do. He threw strikes and unfortunately Fowler got lucky and squared up the bat on the ball. As a closer, we want him throwing good strikes, and that's primarily what he did today.

    coaching JV Softball, I once had a girl cruise into second base. Immediately upon the front part of her foot hitting the bag, she collapsed due to some sort of catastrophic structural failure in her ankle. I think she broke it in several spots, with severe damage to the ligaments. That's the closest I've ever seen in person to this Louisville injury.

    Soup Town, we did not get a 1/2 starter for $11 million. We got a 3/4 starter for that money. I expect a regression to the mean because of his age and past ineffectiveness

    I wonder if Lamontagne will be used as a starter or reliever. He was a good closer until converting to the rotation

    Did Adams ever play Indy Ball? Still, he and Joe Thatcher were great signings that unfortunately failed to last with Milwaukee. We never really understood Adams' fall from grace except for being upset that he was stripped of closing duties because of a bad spring.

    So what do people think... Is Otule using his 6th year or is he going to try to turn pro and play in Europe since he's finally healthy?

    Didn't Hector Gomez have some catastrophic injury last year?

    it will be interesting to see how things go. Mayo's dribble drive and Taylor camping out at the ft line have been very effective against zones this year. We'll see what Buzz goes with today.

    Hey all, I used to love Joe's enthusiasm. I know he had some injuries, but does anytime know if NBO Joe is still with us??

    Invader, I have to admit I but the whole argument of Google as the evil corporation. I won't buy their items unless Apple falls flat on its face. Chrome is a perfect example of not trusting a multibillion dollar corporation that is known for collecting personal data and usage statistics. Sorry, I'll take Firefox. Adroid's malware scares the heck out of me. Plus, their phones are going 100 directions that the American users are not. I own my apple stock proudly since they make a lot of products that consumers crave. I just don't get the Google business model of ripping off their competitors and offering it for free (docs, Android, etc). I'm amazed how much Samsung pays analysts to claim that its a hipper company than Apple. My study shows quite the opposite.

    That's disgusting...bring your own potties? I've never seen a line in Miller Park's parking lots to begin with. Not sure why women would need to bring their own. At least I have faith that no men would need to bring their own.

    Noche, please explain your logic. Heckathorn hasn't gotten out A, A+, or AA hitters yet. Why would he be in line for a MLB bullpen job when there are at least ten guys ahead of him?

    I really feel bad...I had Wichita State winning two games, and I really liked them as a team. I just thought Wisconsin had the easiest path to the Elite 8 in the entire tourney. I was in Vegas last week and found that I was one of the few making money on Wichita St. Apparently not many realized they had been highly ranked this year before losing three straight games in early Feb. I'm no Wisconsin fan, but it was a shock to see them go out so early. Marquette with a great win today in likely their best game of the year. This has been a fun team to watch all year. I thought they'd be as good as last year, but it's because I thought Mayo and Blue would team up to lead the squad. I had no idea Otule would become serviceable, Jamil Wilson would make shots, or Steve Taylor would look this strong. Lockett played his best game at Marquette as well, so that helps. Amazingly I'm only missing one team from the Elite 8 in my pools--Wisconsin. I should have gone with my gut and Wichita St. If Mich St, Louisville, Fla and Kansas advance, I'll be in good shape.

    I have my Ipad mini and am thoroughly happy. As a tech fool, this is a rare time when I'm not interested in any other products out there. For years I would buy a laptop or phone, and instantly want something different. Thank you iphone, ipad mini, and air.

    Adam, I know I'll regret saying this by mid-June, but I've actually missed your once a week posts about imminent rebuilding. It's always good to reflect on where we are in the cycle of production. But seeing as Braun, Weeks, Hart, Lucroy, and Hart are hardly classified as old, I see no reason to really consider rebuilding. Ramirez may be older, but he's coming off two of his most productive seasons.

    Hunter Morris has had 1 good minor league season, and previously was known as poor defensively with holes in his swing. Let's give him time in the minors. Hart is already above average offensively and defensively

    Murphy was the starter on the first Fall League squad I worked with. Great, quiet guy. Good defender. Hit a clutch grandslam in the championship game

    interesting to look it up and see Lohse's career ERA+ is 97. That's tied with Suppan (97) and lower than Wolf (100). So basically we have added a league average pitcher whose numbers are skewed that high only because of back-to-back career years in his early 30s.

    Most stadiums have awful in-game entertainment. That's one thing I love about Miller Park is they let the game be the entertainment. Do they still do the classic Brewers' Jukebox? Here in AZ, Chase Field has laughable in-game entertainment. Nobody finds it fun

    I still don't like this signing. He's a career below avg pitcher who suddenly had his best year at age 33. Sorry, I'm not impressed. Kent Bottenfield ring a bell? How about Jeff Suppan?

    DocLuna7, they're just using Olympic rules for eligibility. I was at the game yesterday and it was a lot of fun. Good crowd, even though small. Just good to be at a ballgame

    I knew him in the AFL, and he was a trainwreck. He made Jeremy Brown look like a choir boy.

    As I say each year, Wisconsin people don't vacation to Florida, they come to the southwest. Arizona makes sense for so many reasons, including the Brewers having a huge following here.
