  1. I am going to use this next time I need a raise. - Yes sir, I know that my production and revenue is way down but I have been here just as long as Johnson over there, so I should make as much as he does.
  2. My wife made all of the invitations, save the dates, decorations, place settings, name cards, programs etc, but then again, my wife if very good craft wise. If you or your wife and craft worthy at all, make all of this stuff. A lot of people get caught up in invitations, but remember that 99% of the people you send them too, look at the date, write it down and throw it away. Weddings from late Oct to March are a ton cheaper, since not a lot of people have weddings then. Dont bother with a videographer. You may watch your wedding video once or twice, but your pictures will be a ton more valuable to you and be looked at more often. If you want the ceremony taped, find a family member you trust to do that. For the meal, dont go fancy. People just want something good to eat. A fancy piece of chicken with horrible sauce and 3 red potato halves isnt a good meal. The best meal I have ever had was at a friends wedding where they had a buffet and my own where we had prime rib, mashed potatoes and corn. Make the beer free(tap only) and let the high ball people fend for themselves. You will go through about 2-3 barrels(we went through 6), depending on the amount of professionals you have attending. Hotel convention rooms work out best, due to the catering usually being in house and out of town guests can stay there. Since you are having the event there, you will most likely get your room for free and reduced rates for you guests.
  3. we all know that this is going to happen at some point
  4. First off paint me stunned that 7 has problems. Like with anything from Microsoft, wait 3-4 months before installing any of their applications or at least till the second series of it comes out. Everyone of their platforms have troubles in the first run.
  5. Could of had Igawa last year with Melky for Cameron. The problem is that Igawa is trash.
  6. Do not use any of your nice softball bats at batting cages that use anything other then softballs. The yellow dimple balls are a hard plastic that doesnt give and you are going to dent your bat in no time. If you really want to go to a cage, either use a bat they have there, or use the crappiest bat you have.
  7. Like with the bullpen, I see nothing wrong with getting as much as you can for the back end of the bench/bullpen and see what sticks. You dont have options if you dont have players.
  8. Zach was a full qualifier out of high school, but blew out his knee his senior year and his offers dried up. He went to JUCO to earn a D1 scholarship. The reason it is hard for UW to recruit JUCOs is that they need the required courses both in high school and college in order to transfer. If they didnt qualify out of high school the chances of them getting into UW are slim, unless they took specifics courses at the JUCO to become eligible. Most JUCO paths do not have the required courses in their AS programs that would allow a player to transfer. Now if MATC was more of a basketball power or had a football program, you would see more JUCOs at UW. MATC's AS program is set up to transfer students to the UW system.
  9. Blue would have to be released from his LOI. Maymon quit the team because he wasnt getting the playing time that was promised to him by Buzz. Trust me MU fans, you are so much better off without him on the team.
  10. Actually my reading comprehension is quite good. The entrance requirements have to do with core classes and the grades that you acheived in those. Most schools allow athletes into school by just meeting the NCAA requirements. Athletes at UW have to meet the requirements of any regular student an those that dont(about10%, mostly football) have to be petitioned by the athletic office to admissions department and prove that the student will have no problem with the academics at UW. ND standards arent really that high for athletes, especially having been lowered during the Weis era. You are correct when it comes to Stanford, they do have very high standards for students. Before you can be offered a full scholarship for athletics, you have to be admitted to Stanford admissions. That is why it is so hard to recruit there, not all students have the full amount of required classes done by the time they need to sign their LOI. If you want to discuss this more, I could go on for days. I have following recruiting for years and know the ins and outs of how the process works.
  11. Calling his high school career a rough start isnt even close to describing his high school career. Between flunking classes, cheating on tests, and having to take several online classes that people who are going for their GED take just to be able to qualify would rate as an academic risk to me. That is just his academics, that is leaving out all of the out of school problems. Comparing UW(state run institution) academic standards vs MU(private school) is laughable. The requirements to get into UW(core classes, GPA, ACT) are by far more stringent then to get into MU.
  12. That is of course he is still in school then. Going off what I know about him, he would have fit in perfectly to FSU(see the Outside the Lines this weekend).
  13. Hate to see "Not Todd Coffey" go, but to be honest he is just a guy in baseball terms.
  14. I will never forget that on the LA trip this year that between games he got his sleeve(tattoos) on his arm done. I could tell they were fresh by the shine and kept thinking to myself that A.)thats has to be sore and B.) Shouldnt it be covered up by some bandages?
  15. Again teams dont give up picks for Class B free agents. Only the bottom 15 teams for Class A free agents give up picks.
  16. If they sign him, do we all have to wear shirts like this to games. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51ANCwQnIjL._AA280_.jpg
  17. Going off last year, Gamel can certainly stand up there and swing and miss at balls right down the middle of the plate just like Hart did for the last 2 years.
  18. I would imagine that Gammons sources are drying up and that TK and BO have been carrying the load. It seems that they have gone to those two more often then not in regards to rumors and stories ever since Gammons was ill.
  19. So who is more happy, Card fans or local anchor women?
  20. A cut fastball is the same as regular fastball just with a different finger placement
  21. Well throwing as hard as he does, he was on borrowed time before he blew out the shoulder.
  22. Could you imagine the lawsuits that Michael would have placed against him if that had happened in real life?
  23. You have to think that this is a Jake Taylor type signing. Brought in to mentor the rookie catcher and show him the ropes. I have no problem with this at all. You would have to think that to attract veteran pitchers that they would like to know that there is a veteran catcher back there.
  24. I find this show so much better then The Office. The Office is unwatchable to me.
  25. The rapid reasons she gave the Ranger regarding why she shot Ron were awesome.
