  1. I am all for CBS Sports Network broadcasting minor league baseball games, even if it is only once a week. Great surprise to get to watch Huntsville tonight in HD! That was great watching a MILB game in High Def. I vote for it once a week.
  2. I second that!
  3. 1. Tyrone Taylor 2. Orlando Arcia 3. Clint Coulter 4. Tyler Cravy 5. Tyler Wagner 6. Taylor Williams 7. Taylor Jungmann 8. David Goforth 9. Jed bradley 10. Jason Rogers 11. David Denson 12. Jorge Lopez 13. Hunter Morris 14. Nick Ramirez 15. Michael Ratteree 16. Brandon Diaz 17. Chris Macfarland 18. Michael Reed 19. Dustin Demuth 20. Wei-Chung Wang 21. Victor Roache 22. Shawn Zarraga 23. Gilbert Lara 24. Devin Williams 25. Drew Gagnon
  4. It's time for Wagner to get bumped to Huntsville!
  5. Apparently Toronto picked him up and he pitched last night...one word...Disaster!
  6. Bunting against the shift is going to happen more frequently. Teams that are using SABR info on hitters and constantly shift are going to eventually be hurt by it because there is a simple way to beat it. Bunt! I would be surprised if the shift is used frequently when the playoffs role around. I was watching a Dodger game a while back and Adrian Gonzalez laid down a bunt against the shift. If that's what it take to win games, I'm all for it.
  7. I would've rather seen Wagner promoted up a level.
  8. He is listed as a catcher, but playing outfield for Huntsville. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?pos=C&sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=430591
  9. Saw this article online...any truth to it? http://swinginas.com/2014/07/11/sacramento-river-cats-moving-nashville/
  10. What is going on with Devin Williams? Five errors didn't help the situation. I remember watching some Helena games a few years back and thinking about how bad the defense was. Rookie ball! I kind of felt bad for the pitchers, as their numbers got inflated by the lack of D.
  11. When does the other guy from Hawaii ( Jordan Yamamoto ) start pitching?
  12. I have seen Stephenson pitch 4 times (two live) and Nelson over 10 (two live) times this year. There is no way that Stephenson should be ranked higher than Nelson. Nelson should be near the top, it's a no brainer. First question... Is Baseball America run by Agents? I would like to see guys ranked according to how close they are to being Major league ready instead of whatever they go by now. Second question...How long do you need to play in the Majors before you are not a prospect anymore?
  13. I thought for sure Jeffress was going to come into the game in the ninth especially when Hand struggled in the eighth. How exactly is Hand an All-star? Was he a fan vote? It's not too often you see a guy with an ERA 5+ get an all star nod. Jeffress was more deserving in my opinion.
  14. There are about 10 pitchers who could be bumped up from Brevard to Huntsville, but the pickings are much slimmer for hitters. He's not ancient, either, as Komatsu's only about 8-9 months older than Kentrail Davis and D'Vo. I'm sure an outfielder from High A can hit better than .170 like Komatsu has done the last two years.
  15. Why??? Bring someone up from High A.
  16. I purchased the book while in Huntsville. It's a good read with some great stories.
  17. I don't think Hall can be removed from 40 man while under injury status. How many injured guys are on the 40 man?
  18. I agree with you on the quality start thing. 5 innings 1 run should be a quality start. 7 innings 2 runs should be a quality start.
  19. Is this because they signed a one year deal?
  20. 15 strikeouts in a 7 inning game must be a record set by Huntsville batters. Good thing they take a lot of walks because the hitting is poor.
  21. Speaking of First Base...why didn't the Brewers make a run at Michael Morse before the Giants signed him?
