  1. HighHeat19: Do you know if they are just targeting Yelich or are there other pieces that could possibly come back with him, ie. Realmuto, Barraclough, Castro
  2. Not only that but none of us really know what it would take to get the deals done or we wouldn’t be posting on message boards.
  3. The end of an era. Hopefully Happ can go pro. It’ll help Barry realize Gard sucks and this program is doomed.
  4. At the game tonight. I’m about to go out there and pull Illikainen myself. What a terrible basketball player.
  5. This guy had the leak 5 days ago. He broke the Lucroy news, twice.
  6. Leaving no rock unturned. Love the process Stearns is going through. Or at least what it seems to be the process from rumors reported.
  7. Source?!?! He hasn't singed but the Brewers are out. They were never really in it. So no source? Okay, thanks. Establishes credibility.
  8. Source?!?!
  9. My sources say it's not Cleveland. Does this work? I apologize in advance, but since I don't know who has good sources (outside of HH19 of course) and who doesn't - can I ask how reliable your sources are? Do you really know that Cleveland isn't the team, or are you just being facetious? Oh, no need to apologize. I was being facetious. Just trying to move us along in figuring out who this trade might be for.
  10. Austin Jackson is fine for them but I just would have thought they'd take a stab at Broxton. He's at league minimum and over the course of a full season, the numbers would be close to what Austin Jackson is going to provide there. Seemed like a slam dunk for Stearns. Oh well.
  11. If the numbers go up to that, I'm happy the Brewers were out.
  12. If we really are looking at Meija, would the Indians want Vogt to be in the mix? Looking at the Indians catching depth chart... it isn't good. Brewers Get: Danny Salazar Jason Kipnis Francisco Meija Indians Get: Domingo Santana Stephen Vogt Marcos Diplan
  13. I wouldn't say that. I think Cooper would have been a nice player to hold onto if we knew we were moving Thames or Aguilar. I'm not saddened by the move but for what we got in return, right now it doesn't look like a great move.
  14. Just call up Tim Dillard already and let him do it. He'll be the Harry Carrey of the Brewers.
  15. It also raises the price for every other FA agent pitcher and resigning our own guys. Yes. Good point. It just feels like we tell ourselves this so that it makes it feel better while other teams continuously improve their odds at being a playoff team.
  16. I think we might want to stop including Mejia in our proposals. Not because I don't want him like many do, but because it just doesn't seem realistic for the Indians to move him at this point. His value has increased so much since the Lucroy trade, no trade shenanigans.
  17. The trying to jack up the price is nice but in the end if the Cubs get Darvish, it just makes it that much tougher for us to win the division and get a playoff spot.
  18. Some posters have sucked the life out of this thread for me. We all knew that these moves were not 100% but man, do some people rain on the parade. Keep it coming HighHeat19. Most enjoy all the connections we can get to the inside.
  19. Feels like my sophomore year in high school with my first legit girlfriend.
  20. If we are doing this. The window opens this season. But, if we are doing this, the window may close on us soon. We would really deplete the farm with this type of off-season. Not only that but you would probably have to sign a few more players (Cain, Oh) to even make it worth it to do something like this. Yeah, I wouldn't make both trades. One in conjunction with Darvish or just one trade. I wasn't very clear on that. Yeah I didn’t read it well either. Makes more sense.
  21. Signing Darvish and trading for Salazar would deplete the farm system? He also had us trading for Archer.
  22. What doesn't make sense? The possibility of a Darvish signing and the trade scenarios are completely different transactions and seem to not hinge on each other. HighHeat19 has been pretty clear on that. He has also broken some "news" on the Darvish situation as well. From the sounds of it, he's just reporting from his source(s) that he has and let us know what he can for the time being. I'd really hate if we push that type of reporting away from our forum because we don't take it for what it is.
