  1. “Don’t waste your time.” Teams scoff at Brewers’ asking price for Josh Hader.
  2. I don't think I would do it. I know the answer is smarter to look for the down the road future with the players but I think Rodgers next 2 years will be of peak MVP style play. If you can surround that with the talents of the last couple of seasons, you have yourself the best shot of winning another SB. Couple that with drafting Love and I would say we take our chances going that road.
  3. The first contract and player I am a bit disappointed we didn't jump on. He would have been a nice addition to our team's makeup and could have had a very nice season in Miller Park.
  4. Correct. While I want to see how the Brewers end up filling out their roster, there just isn't a lot out there to get THAT excited about. This team is destined to scrum it out with the rest of the measly NL Central this season. I'm sure Stearns will figure out a good way to have this team competitive in that regard.
  5. Hahahahahaha you couldn’t laugh any harder at this drama crap. All to feed headlines. It’s pretty pathetic but people will be strapped on this even though it couldn’t be more ridiculous.
  6. No insider information. Just my gut telling me a move is coming. The calm before the storm.
  7. Only a matter of when now. Not if, but when. Big things coming our way!
  8. But did we give up a draft choice so we have something to really complain about?
  9. We should pick him up and make this deal really sting!
  10. If he could play 3B, this would be great. It doesn't look to be a fit though.
  11. Even Rodgers has mentioned a few times in interviews about how he observed Favre during his years on the bench and learned how you have to play through injuries. Rodgers is great but I doubt he has the career he has now if he doesn't see firsthand what greatness looks like. Favre has his faults, that's for sure, but Rodgers actually picked up a lot of similarities, even down to a chin strap and snap count, from Favre.
  12. I like the new signage. Looks fresh.
  13. Yeah, for the most part the ole ground and pound just isn’t a thing anymore.
  14. If only Favre couldn’t be hit and WRs could run free off the line and never be punished over the middle. The number of attempts is one things but the other factors are huge.
  15. I was curious about his stuff to see if I was misremembering. INT & Sack Defensive Rankings: Favre (Ages: 31-34) (43-21) 2000: INT- 8 / SK- 19 (9-7) 2001: INT- 10 / SK- 3 (12-4) 2002: INT- 24 / SK- 7 (12-4) 2003: INT- 8 / SK- 20 (10-6) *Favre thumb injury Rodgers (Ages: 31-34) (39-25) 2014: INT- 7 / SK- 17 (12-4) 2015: INT- 9 / SK- 6 (10-6) 2016: INT- 8 / SK- 7 (10-6) 2017: INT- 20 / SK- 10 (7-9) *7 Games
  16. Is Schilling a HOF pitcher, though? He has 216 wins all time, which ranks 86th, tied with luminaries such as Charlie Hough and Wilber Cooper, who are not in the Hall of Fame. His career ERA of 3.46, while good, is not elite considering the era he played in. Yes, he had some clutch moments in his career ... some transcendent ones even. But is that enough to overcome career numbers that are good, but arguably not great? That is fine if that is the argument. But is it the actual argument?
  17. He had Ahman Green, yes. But after that, it was weak. If people are complaining Rodgers doesn't have enough talent right now, they should look at the depth of those teams. Brutal. I do agree that Favre was too careless with the football. I don't think anyone would disagree with that. Unfortunately, terrible leadership from the Packers organization to the coaches on down created the monster. If he was surrounded by Holmgren or even a coach like Holmgren, his career plays out much differently in my opinion. Favre can take ownership of it obviously but it was twofold with the terrible decision making of the front office during that time period.
  18. There is a reason that Favre plateaued after the 98 season or so and the majority of that goes to him having horrendous talent around him. Check out some of those rosters. It's pathetic. Not only that, but he never really had much for a coaching staff after that either. It really is a shame what the organization did after letting Holmgren walk out the door.
  19. Let them all in and make it known of their "scandals" or shortcomings towards the game. Why sportswriters are the gatekeepers to that HOF is mystifying to me anyway. Curt Schilling is a turd in my personal opinion but not voting him to the HOF because of political feelings is abusrd.
  20. In Arcia we trust!
  21. Stearns trying to make Packer fans forget about the loss.
  22. How do you get Watt and stay under the cap? Trade and restructure his deal? He’s and easy upgrade to our pass rush if healthy.
  23. If I was the FO, I would tell him to go take a vacation and we will see you this summer.
  24. I think the point is if you're not calling it all day, don't call it on one of the deciding plays. Why refs interject themselves in big situations like that is always a mystery to me.
