  1. The defense led to Rodgers poor start that included abandoning the running game. Not clearing Rodgers with his performance but MLF gave Jones what? 7 carries? Dillon? Rookie Center-Guard combo and O-line wasn't effective. But the #1 glaring hole was once again LBs. I didnt feel like any of the 4 made a big play. TFL or pass defended. If it happened it was in garbage time not first 3quarters. Caldwell is it? Gave me flashbacks of Summers last season. Like 8-13yards backed up only to be a part of the play 6 to 10yeards downfield. Embarrassing how Winston just had gobs of yardage to run up the middle of the field. Clark was solid imo after the first drive. I thought he was the best of the front 7 and did what you expect of him. Stokes the rookie had a play I recall that was good. Not sure he was out there much. On O i thought Lazard was a disappointing 0 factor. Not effective blocking and was flagged on a big gain. Didn't look ever to be an option for Rodgers as always defender glued on him. MVS had an MVS game. Couple decent receptions. But nothing on deeper end this time and didnt appear to have any separation for a speedster. H-Backs usage seemed a waste not fooling or beating the defense with blocks. Deguara injury once again just ruining that selection even more. Need to look markedly better on both sides, especially Defense as Barry is immediately on a hott seat with a weak game plan. I just cant fathom how open the middle of the field was at least a dozen times for Winston. Talking 5yards down field to 15yards downfield and at least 20yards wide! Yet no pressure on QB. These guys had to of misplayed the defense called multiple times being confused.
  2. On to week 2. MLF ill prepared this team, up there for his worst coached/prepped game. Down 28 should have thrown in the towel and coached some run plays and standard offense vs an obvious failure forthcoming trying to produce a quick TD. #1 pet peeve still exists with Rodgers and that is play clock management. Always under 10secs calling for a snap as theres 2 no 1 secs left. Get up there faster for cripes sake. Must cost the team an average of 1.5 timeouts a game and yards lost on delay of games.
  3. Legit a perfect form tackle called personal foul roughing the passer. Way to not understand a game 24-3 needs something to happen and turn that right over Ref. Was that the 1st hit on Winston behind line of scrimmage? Guess that made it personal.
  4. Jokes on him. No one has won the NFC Central in 20 years. Sigh yeah mean the North.
  5. Guess MLF thinks the Central will be won with 9games because he sure punted this gameplan away by not playing 1st stringers in preseason.
  6. This Caldwell LB can be benched already. Its like all DE and LBs are selling themselves out and have no clue what is coming at them. Just hoping they run in to the player with ball.
  7. Ugly 1st quarter defense. MLBs grade a F thus far.
  8. Maybe why Harper is hott at the plate. Ball over middle of the plate atop the zone called a ball. Like is the strike zone where he asks for it in a HR contest only? Has he broken down the umps from all his past whining to just cater to what he wants? Lets get Ashby a win!
  9. Peralta has given up 1 HR to a white hott Harper and nothing else beyond 207feet. Walked the same hott Harper his only walk. 3Ks. Fairly unlucky outing for him through 3. Watch him go 3 scoreless here as we are likely to do now for Gibson letting him off the hook
  10. Those 3 outs were the 3 highest paid Players for the Brewers this season. Some buyers remorse
  11. Just stopping in. Man seems opponents lately find a way to hit HRs that go under 370feet. Meanwhile Brewer hitters seem to need 395 or more for it to be HR. Anything less is an out.
  12. B2b good starts and bullpen savers by Lauer. Great to see he can put up starts like he did for SD. And thus why felt great about his acquisition over sticking with Davies. Fully understand his ERA is lower than expected but that should be the case with this year's defense right? Houser meanwhile being a groundballer, is going to experience highs and lows in his starts. When he gets in trouble, often its a Walk and infield single sandwhiched with a seeing eye single and 1 well hit ball that inning for 2-4runs given up. I'm surprised Houser doesn't run 7IP outings more often because you'd think balls being put in play would lead to lower pitch counts. Im certain without a doubt Houser will get better and is better than Lauer. I am one that thinks about Houser in the Playoff bullpen just because he has success there, throws harder, induces groundballs that could induce double plays. Lauer isn't that same type. Just think in a Playoff series with current bullpen, adding Houser completely fills it out with Williams and Hader for a 7th/8th/9th innging finish. Houser has the experience where coming in the 6th with two runners on to induce a double play and keep in to bat to pitch the following inning is a plus. It's just great that we know basically the 5man rotation heading in to next season. Plus Ashby. You put Houser or Lauer up as trade potentials if it nets you a filled offensive spot of need. And immediately you wouldn't be mad. This team is in a good place moving forward.
  13. Feeling like that should be cause for ban for oh I dunno 83days. What the Heck! ^^
  14. Ball game. Glad to see the walk that should have been a K didn't come back to hurt Hader.
  15. Oh nice to see Adames with a late hit again. Giants about to be a Wild Card team. Pour it on
  16. It has seemed like we've been hosed a lot recently, however, looks like we've actually been one of the most favored teams by umpires over the year: https://umpscorecards.com/site-data/teams.html Wow. That is surprising when reading these IGTs and seeing the ump score cards posted in them. Im not here every game but when I am certainly hosed a lot in those games.
  17. Like to appreciate an umpired game that provides Brewers with an advantage. Feels nearly 90pct of games goes opponents way. You and every other fan of every other team in sport thinks that. Except whenever I see that ump grade graphic only the last one posted do I recall it being in Brewers favor. More often than not its .3-.66 runs in favor of Brewer opponents.
  18. Like to appreciate an umpired game that provides Brewers with an advantage. Feels nearly 90pct of games goes opponents way. 2 more innings let's steal another unexpected win here.
  19. So it's not just our hitters that do that? Sequencing of pitches there. Seen a few changeups that dropped below strike zone. Hangs strike 3 on a changeup. Is what gets me. I can understand a curveball after hard pitches being let by since would start high. But he'd shown changeup before that was low. I think Yelich issues on the watch it go by is over now that he's being far more aggressive.
  20. Not really sure what Yaz was doing taking a changeup belt high with 2 strikes. But will take it a 0 from Norris. Edit. Fun moment. We're tied 2-2 top 7. Dodgers tied 2-2 top 7. Believe LA could take first from SF on a w/l.
  21. But it has happened when "tomorrow's" starter came in relief to pitch in a situation such as injury. So that statement isn't true. When was the last time Counsell did it? How bout you go look it up. Your statement mentioned nothing that Counsell doesnt insert tomorrow's starter in a game. But I do feel hes done it.
  22. If a pitcher has been prepping to start tomorrow they aren’t going to suddenly rush him in to pitch tonight. The starters have routines they go through to get prepared to start, including throwing in between starts. No point messing that up to chase after this game. A couple of the back end relievers are going to have to step up. But it has happened when "tomorrow's" starter came in relief to pitch in a situation such as injury. So that statement isn't true.
  23. I would think the team is covered and prepared for this scenario. It's not like Anderson with his history would be expected to throw 5 or more innings. 3 and 4 was and is possible. I just guess in this scenario he'd have given up 5runs or more before the 4th inning.
