  1. Yorman Galindez recorded eight of his eleven outs via K with 3 BB and a solo HR mixed in. Carolina picked up their lone run of the game so far when Tayden Hall and Kay-Lan Nicasia each singled, KLN stole second, and a Luis Castillo groundout scored Hall. Osbriel Mogollon has followed up Galindez with 1.1 IP of scoreless relief with 1 H | 1 BB | 2 K. Blayberg Diaz will lead off bottom of five trying to break the tie.
  2. He’ll be up, just a matter of when. Threw four innings and forty nine pitches on Weds 4/24. Could make his next start next week versus TB or they might want to give him one more rehab start to build up a little more before making his MLB debut.
  3. We may not have Cooper DeJean but we’ll always have Koops’ Dijon.
  4. Paredes works around a single and the rare Hernan Perez base on balls to put up a zero and seal the Sounds victory, picking up his second save of the season.
  5. No kidding on Barrios at 2-3 with a bomb. Matthew Wood has also left the yard while Eduarqui Fernandez has a round tripper and a half tripper. TRats picked up another run top of six via a Terence Doston double (his second of the game) and a Dylan O’Rae reach on error. Joseph Hernandez (1.1 IP | 1 K) and Jake Polancic (1 IP | 1 K) were admitted to the Zero Club out of the pen. Gameday currently says Rain Delay top of seven.
  6. Nashville offense with tons of traffic en route to 11 runs through top of nine. Tyler Black (3-6) Andruw Monasterio (2-4, BB, SF, SBx2) Isaac Collins (3-4, 2B, BBx2, SB) Brewer Hicklen (2-4, 2B, SF, BB) Francisco Mejia (2-6, 2B) Noah Campbell (1-4, 2B, BBx2) Yonny Hernandez (3-5, 3B) Vinny Capra (2-4, BB) Chavez Young (1-4, HBP) Enoli Paredes opens the bottom of the ninth on the mound trying to preserve a three run lead and pick up the save.
  7. Carolina falls 3-1. Knoth ended up at 3.1 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 4 BB | 6 K while two Mudcats relievers ended up in the Zero Club - Aidan Maldonado (2 IP | 4 K) and Jeison Peña (1 IP | 2 K). Juan Baez (1-4, BB), Tayden Hall (1-3, BB), David Garcia (3-3, 2B, BB) and Yhoswar Garcia (2-4) all reached multiple times.
  8. Looks like TJ Shook (5 IP | 2 ER | 4 H | 2 BB | 7 K) turned in another solid start for the Shuckers while Sam Gardner went Zero Clubbing for two innings with 1 H | 1 BB | 3 K.
  9. Why would Arnold be planning for closer to 175 IP when the last time Miley hit that mark was in 2015? He's hasn't even topped 160 IP since 2021.
  10. Nashville down 9-3 top of eight. Bright spots have been Eric Haase at 2-3 with a double and two RBI. Kevin Herget threw three scoreless with 1 H | 2 BB | 4 K. Box also has Tyler Black with an error, his 4th of the young season.
  11. Biloxi trailing 4-2 at the stretch. In addition to the two Boeve triples there has been a Zavier Warren bomb, an Ernesto Martinez double and a Darrien Miller RBI single. Tyler Woessner racked up eight strikeouts over 5.1 IP, but also surrendered all four runs (three earned). Shane Smith K’d the last two batters bottom of six in relief of Woessner and has given up a lead off double to open bottom of seven.
  12. Wisco leading 3-1 top of five. Three runs scored on an Eduarqui Fernandez single, Ben Metzinger walk, Terence Doston single, Dylan O’Rae strikeout, Luis Lara HBP, Gregory Barrios groundout, WILD PITCH, Luke Adams strikeout sequence. Will Rudy has 3 H | 5 K to go along with his 1 ER (surrendered via HR) through 4 IP.
  13. Carolina trailing 3-1 after six. Yophery doubled home Miguel Briceno (who had walked) for the lone run. Cooper Pratt, Tayden Hall, Daniel Guilarte, and Kay-Lan Nicasia have each singled so far. Jesus Rivero K’d six over 4.1 IP but also gave up a three run bomb. Jeferson Figueroa K’d five of the seven batters he faced (1 H | 1 BB) while Morris Austin just wrapped up a 1-2-3 seventh with 2 Ks.
  14. Yes, somebody will sign him. Most recently it was the Diablos Rojos de Mexico, before that it was the Yokohama Bay Stars. I would guess he's pitching for the Gary Southshore Railcats before either of the Yankees or Braves (or any other MLB club).
  15. It would appear as though they believe in themselves considerably more than a decent sized portion of the fanbase does.
  16. There is no such thing as a can’t miss prospect, that’s the whole reason the Brewers have placed so much emphasis on building and maintaining organizational depth since Stearns/Arnold arrived. But ultimately, yes, it’s too early to tell because the samples are still so small. Even with that said, all three have mostly lived up to their scouting reports in their brief taste of MLB thus far. Mitchell has flashed the excitement with a 119 wRC+ in his 141 PAs, but questions linger about how sustainable that is with a 38.3 K% and .441 BABIP under the hood plus all the injuries. Hopefully we’ll have another two tree hundred PAs to go off by the time the season’s over, but I’m definitely not counting on it. Frelick has 315 PAs now with better than average plate discipline (128 BB%+ | 83 K%+) and an affinity for singles (104 AVG+) but a paucity of pop (49 ISO+). The high likelihood of Sal being an average player was what carried his profile and so far that’s what he’s delivered. Wiemer always was considered the most boom or bust of the three and so far it’s been mostly bust. But even with as bad as the bat has been, he’s still notched 1.0 WAR in his 421 PAs on account of defense and base running so his overall impact is in the red. All told the three of them have totaled 3.1 WAR over their first 877 PA and counting which is pretty cromulent production for guys just getting acclimated to MLB. Meanwhile, our best non-Yelich OF the last two years has been the guy a vocal segment of the internet was up in arms about even being put on the 40 Man two winters ago just because they’d never heard of him.
  17. Murphy managed the Padres for 96 games in 2015. He is a second time manager. The Brewers lack of pitching has produced a 3.37 ERA (7th in MLB) before giving up only two runs tonight.
  18. Yeah, have a feeling YOHO might be grabbing one of the vacated spots on the next BF Top 20.
  19. The Rookie Exception in the CBA allows teams to sign their 1st round picks even if they are over the cap.
  20. Yeah, Fisher has already gone full scorched earth in Oakland. That not even they have signed Bauer to further thumb their nose at the what's left of the fanbase speaks volumes.
  21. Well, I did say "it appears as though". There is no need to talk to all 30 owners, the reality is he that isn't currently employed by an MLB team. He can't pitch in MLB until someone decides to hire him. Even with all the injuries hitting just about every team, no one has as of yet. Don't need a magnifying glass to read between those lines.
  22. It appears as though the owners of the 30 MLB teams have thus far decided he can’t pitch at the game’s highest level,
  23. Best pitcher in the California Penal League since Ricky Vaughn.
