  1. Do we get a Lockridge, Perkins, Jones outfield today? Or, Matos? I assume Rengifo at 3B. Sanchez at 1B or is that experiment over?
  2. 36-year old left-hander Patrick Corbin makes the start for Toronto. Corbin was signed on April 3 and is not expected to keep a rotation spot for long. Corbin's first start of the season was April 10 against Minnesota allowing four runs over 4 IP. Patrick makes his 14th career start against Milwaukee today. source Brandon Sproat deserves credit for lowering his ERA below Trevor Megill. Sproat is striking out a batter per inning but also walking a batter per inning, too. Sproat allowed only one run over 3.2 IP last time against Washington on April 11. Milwaukee definitely has hit RHP better this season compared to LHP. However, the Brewers have produced a .738 OPS against LH starters in 2026. source
  3. Mitchell is 3 for 9 against LHP this season 🤷‍♂️ 5 K, though
  4. I’m not aware of any injuries as a result of nuclear energy in the United States, ever. That is a pretty good track record.
  5. It’s worth noting there is a big difference between signing replacement level free agents (or waiver claims) and above replacement level. We miss on Rhys Hoskins and Matt Garza signings, too. So do many teams.
  6. What if there is a high leverage moment in the fourth inning? In seriousness, I’m not sure if there is a high leverage situation that Murphy does not immediately link to Aaron Ashby.
  7. If given the choice between 150 IP with 3.50 ERA or 50 IP of 2.50 ERA, I’d choose the 150 IP. I’m not sure if those are the two choices, though.
  8. The Brewers losing will cease against Cease! Does that rhyme?
  9. 1.318 OPS is pretty good. Sanchez has 7 hits, 5 are HR.
  10. Bauers has raised his OPS by 250 points in just over three games.
  11. Should I be surprised Jones isn’t batting 5th tonight? 🙂 (I recognize he is not in the lineup at all)
  12. .317 batting average in Nashville 🙂🤷‍♂️
  13. The Yelich injury translator makes it seem like well over a month.
  14. Right-hander Kevin Gausman starts for Toronto. Gausman has pitched well throughout his career against Milwaukee with a 1.51 ERA and 41 K over 35.2 IP. Gausman has been exceptionally good this season, striking out 40.6% of batters while only walking 3.1% of batters. Jacob Misiorowski pitches for Milwaukee. Miz has struck out 41.8% of batters this season but walked 13.4%. Misiorowski was excellent in his last start until walking the bases loaded in the 6th against Boston. Miz has more strikeouts than any other pitcher in baseball who has only made three starts, so far. Unfortunately, Gausman and Cease (tomorrow's starter) are right behind Miz in 2nd.
  15. Good decisions can lead to bad outcomes. Ultimately, I think teams and players are judged based on outcomes after a large enough sample. Not every player or type of decision warrants a large sample to test a hypothesis, though.
  16. Would we like them more if they said "Wisconsin" ?
  17. I agree that the Pratt extension almost certainly will make business sense. I think we overlook how good Pratt’s numbers in Biloxi were because Southern League is tough on hitters. Pratt’s 2025 wasn’t great but it was pretty good.
  18. We are -0.2 bWAR at LF and -0.3 bWAR in RF this season. Chourio will fill one of those holes. Frelick will improve. I think we need more Hamilton at 3B.
