  1. The Brewers must be lucky if they scored the third most runs in baseball last year with a lineup that is not even in the top 15 in the league according to MLB.com. 🙂 I know Milwaukee is always slighted but to not even merit honorable mention seems neglectful.
  2. A Brewers ticket should always be worth whatever someone is willing to pay. Dynamic pricing often works both ways. If people aren’t buying tickets to see the Marlins on a Tuesday night, prices are lower. Ticketmaster abusing it’s position as a monopoly provider of ticketing services is entirely different than dynamic pricing. We do want the Brewers to have revenue to invest in the team. 🙂 Plus, there are plenty of discount opportunities available throughout the season.
  3. Is a player getting banned for life for gambling something we can wager on in Polymarket? 🙂

Brewer Fanatic is a community with thousands of passionate Brewers fans throughout Wisconsin and the world. Our forums are filled with informed perspectives on everything worth knowing about the big leagues, minor leagues, and more. We are excited to begin a weekly spotlight on some of the best discussions happening on the site. Brewers: Opening Day Roster Predictions Opening Day is less than a week away. The Brewers will return many familiar names when they face the Chicago White Sox on March 26, but a few roster spots remain uncertain. Should Milwaukee keep Brandon Lockridge as a fifth outfielder? Can the bullpen support five left-handed relievers? You will find a range of opinions and learn a thing or two about how Milwaukee pitching fares against right-handed batters. Minors: 2026 Prospect Reports / Lists / Rankings / Interviews / Etc. The best thing about being a Brewers fan, for better and worse, is dreaming about the future. The future is even brighter when the Milwaukee farm system is decidedly good. We are blessed to enjoy world-class coverage in our minor league forum. This specific thread topic offers rankings, reactions, and interviews throughout the offseason. Come bask in the reflected glory of the best prospects in all of baseball! Other Sports: March Madness 2026 Brewer Fanatic is a five-tool forum. Sure, we discuss launch angles, weighted on-base average, and pitch spin rates. We also have robust Other Sports and Off-Topic forums, too. If there's one thing all Brewers fans can agree on, it is cheering for Cinderella teams to upset more prominent opponents. Come to think of it, the NCAA should consider a salary cap to level the playing field. In the meantime, why not join the rest of America in celebrating March Madness? We invite you to join us in our forums this coming season! The in-game threads are a lively experience, and you won't find a better place to be a Brewers fan than at Brewer Fanatic. View full article

  6. We’ve become the Soviets from Rocky IV
  7. I am skeptical that whoever is responsible for leasing Brewers suites at major corporations are worried about who the left fielder is. I assume corporations are worried about return on investment. In other words, is bringing clients to baseball games resulting in additional business? Certainly, the team must produce a winning and enjoyable product but that doesn’t necessarily mean we are obligated to extend aging veterans deep into their 30s. Corporations probably did not regret missing out on Wily Adames during our 97 win season last year. If new players continue to win games, then the new players become stars, too.
  8. This never would’ve happened if Team USA would’ve just ‘gone for it’ and acquired Eugenio Suarez last summer.
  9. That’s fair. It seems rare for nine figure bets on aging players in their 30’s to pay off like we expect, though. The better play seems to be having a reliable stream of prospects to replace the 30 year olds.
  10. The highest season BABIP in Brewers franchise history belongs to Jose Hernandez with .405 in 2002. The runner up is Keston Hiura with .402 during his rookie season. Both sadly seem like luck to me. For reference, the highest season BABIP in MLB over the past sixty years is .411 (Naquin, Kemp and Colabello). Minimum: 300 plate appearances
  11. Brewers offense had second highest BABIP in MLB last season at .305. Only Boston was higher with .307. I assume Fenway Park is favorable to BABIP. Milwaukee pitching allowed a BABIP of .280 last season, 6th lowest in MLB. For comparison, the Cubs allowed only a .273 BABIP. I appreciate that good defense plays a role in lowering BABIP.
  12. Yelich had just the massive 2020 extension with Milwaukee. The Brewers bought out Braun’s arbitration years plus a little bit of free agency in 2008. My broader point is extending players meaningfully beyond arbitration years rarely seems to work well.
  13. I think the morale of the story is we should not extend players because we likely would just have Yelich or Braun 2.0 when their performance declines with age and injuries.
  14. Was an announcement made that Lockridge will be on the opening day roster? Lastly, is Garrett Mitchell a lock to break camp with Milwaukee? I have a sneaking feeling that Jake Bauers will have more time in left field than Yelich this season
  15. In honor of Saint Patrick's day, I thought it would be fun and appropriate to reflect on the role of luck in baseball. How can luck be meaningfully quantified? BABIP, HR / flyballs, xwOBA? Are the Brewers more lucky than other teams? Is luck just short-term randomness associated with positive outcomes? Or, are certain players prone to good luck? A bonus thought, here is my favorite lucky play of all-time.
  16. Did the Pirates and Cardinals really merit to leap frog Milwaukee in terms of best farm systems according to Baseball America's 2026 preseason rankings? Released back in February.
  17. Surprised somewhat by Jett. I’m sure we’ll see him soon enough. Nowhere to put him yet in Milwaukee.
  18. I can’t think of any reason why the temperature would decline after last season.
  19. You can lose your role to injury or Uribe simply being the more effective reliever. Both 3.2 WAR players since 2023, interestingly.
  20. Could be interesting to see if any other MLB team ‘buys high’ on Tyler Black if he maintains a hot pace and offers a trade.
  21. I liked Spencer Jones before he had a good week of spring training. I assume we have enough position depth to not need to acquire someone else at this point, but wouldn’t this type of three true outcomes player be fun? New batting stance. An interesting contrast to the rest of the Milwaukee lineup. So far this spring, Jones is 2 for 6 with the pair of homers, four strikeouts and a walk (Baseball America newsletter)
