  1. Not many 3B outperforming Durbin the past month. I can’t imagine Milwaukee benching Hoskins after he returns next month.
  2. I think Milwaukee will be cautious to use Priester’s final option this year. If they send him down this year and he struggles next year, he will have to be put on waivers. I don’t think we would want that.
  3. Two points from Moneyball: - Chad Bradford does not look like a successful major league pitcher (because he threw funny) except he was successful - Jeremy Brown did not look like an athlete and probably wasn’t. He was a 5’10 overweight catcher but he got on base. Ultimately only had 11 plate appearances in the big leagues. Front offices may still overlook players that do not ‘look the part’ in 2025.
  4. 99 EV from Estury Ruiz. Ashby seemed to deflect the ball in self defense with his hand. He finished the inning. Let’s have Easton finish us out.
  5. Ashby was warming in the 6th after Peralta allowed two runners. Might as well use Ashby for 1-2 innings. Can still use Easton, too.
  6. Mears is rested, somehow. Only nine pitches the past three games. Shouldn’t we have someone other than Easton in our pen? Is he just our mop up guy?
  7. I think I’m glad Murphy has defined a level of performance that is unacceptable. Just seems like strange timing doing it during Joey’s best month.
  8. Makes sense. He did take some bad pitches recently. I feel like he is playing the best he has all season though.
  9. I feel like Milwaukee wouldn’t ’do that’ to Hoskins if he is back in August. Not saying it’s right but I doubt we’d bench Hoskins upon his return.
  10. Washington clearly does not understand the bite of the apple philosophy 🙂
  11. Should Bauers get the start at 1B today against RHP? I’ll assume Vaughn tomorrow against Kershaw.
  12. Runners in scoring position for Caleb Durbin means he will generate an RBI with an exit velocity below 80 mph
  13. 14 pitches for Anderson. I assume we will still use our “eighth inning guy “instead of sending Anderson out there for a second inning.
  14. Is Grant Anderson our only arm we consider fresh for today? Other than Easton McGee?
