My apologies, I just refreshed BRef and it shows -0.4 WAR. You are right. He must’ve been very recently lower than that.

Vaughn could have a very interesting arbitration case. For all he has achieved since July 7, he is -0.7 WAR this season.

111 pitches, zero hits allowed by Gavin Williams for Cleveland. Guardians are 1.5 GB in Wild Card. They have 4-0 lead. I probably go to the bullpen but Williams is back for the 9th.

I wonder what the earliest date is for starting this thread each year -
.733 winning percentage equates to 118-44 record over 162 games. Two wins better than the 2001 Seattle Mariners. I appreciate our game threads never take a night off from encouraging Murphy to consider ways to improve performance which otherwise has been better than pretty much any team in the history of baseball since late May. 🚀 🙂
