  1. LHP Tarik Skubal has one career start against Milwaukee, allowing 1 ER over 6.2IP with 10 K on 6/9/24. Skubal threw six scoreless innings against the Yankees on 4/8/25. Tyler Alexander faced the Tigers twice last year, allowing 2 ER over 9 IP.
  2. Payamps is out of options. He has had three bad outings and five good outings in 2025. Payamps career ERA is 3.41. He has been effective most of the times the past seven seasons.
  3. He conceivably could get all the way back to his career OPS by the end of the day. Remarkable.
  4. It does seem sort of depressing predicting a Brewers defeat 45% of the time though
  5. Once we achieve a meaningful sample size, it would be interesting to see how accurate our whole predictions are on whether the Brewers will win
  6. I appreciate the message you are sharing. $9 million is not enabling Devin Williams to throw many strikes this year, either. Good relievers are good until they are not, in almost every case. We all wish the Brewers payroll was higher, but that is not the world we live in today and probably not tomorrow either. Baseball players have bad days and yesterday two of our pitchers had bad days.
  7. @treego14The first eight innings were fair until the ninth inning? 🙂Hudson, Koenig, Uribe and Mears all have sub 3.00 ERA this year. We have a good team. The Brewers players were on their way to shutting out the Diamondbacks for the second consecutive day until our professional baseball players stopped throwing strikes. We expect our Triple-A pitchers to not have four walks in an inning. We probably expect our high school pitchers to not walk four in an inning.
  8. Colin Rea takes the mound for Chicago against Tyler Glasnow and the Dodgers. It will be interesting to see how Rea does and if some of the Dodgers rotation begins to improve.
  9. Freddy Peralta has excelled against Arizona. 4-0 record with 0.84 ERA in 21.1 IP. Peralta last faced the Diamondbacks in Arizona on 9/13/24 allowing 1 ER over 5 IP. Zac Gallen was not good against Milwaukee in 2024. (After previously being quite good the prior five seasons). Gallen had 6.30 ERA over 10 IP against the Brewers in 2024. Garrett Mitchell has two HR in 8 career AB off Gallen.
  10. We don’t always want to keep relief pitchers forever, even ones who were very good. Last night was not about systemic unfairness.
  11. Brandon Woodruff on the mound for Nashville at 6:30 PM tonight. The start of a 30 day rehab assignment. https://www.mlb.com/amp/news/brandon-woodruff-beginning-shoulder-surgery-rehab.html
  12. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/01/brewers-sign-elvin-rodriguez-dfa-j-b-bukauskas.html Per MLBTR: Rodriguez has two minor league option years remaining
  13. All the same, surprised this many teams are receiving less production than Milwaukee.
  14. I assume the reason for second opinion is because the first opinion was undesirable?
  15. Corbin Burnes makes his home debut after two rocky starts at NYY and WSH. Milwaukee faced Burnes on 4/14/24 Burnes allowed 6 H, 2 BB, 3 R, 2 ER with 5 K over 5 IP at Baltimore. Fun fact: Marlins, Cubs, Twins, Mets, Phillies and Blue Jays all have lower OPS from 3B position than Milwaukee. Also, Brewers have highest OPS from LF in MLB.
  16. We all love Adames’ energy. We would not love his .475 OPS which is not too far removed from Dunn. I appreciate Adames will heat up but 7 years $182 is a lot to pay for energy.
  17. Hall more than month away. Not sure Ashby has an ETA. I appreciate Cortes is more of a coin toss and Civale had a setback. Who know with Woodruff.
  18. Matt Boyd still carrying a 0.00 ERA for Cubs, holding Dodgers scoreless through four.
  19. Misiorowski and Carlos Rodriguez have both pitched very well through three starts. Peralta, Quintana, Patrick, Priester, Alexander (Myers, Cortes, Woodruff and Civale all possibly back within a month?)
  20. McMahon’s career OPS away from Coors Field is .671. We should not want to pay him $44 million through 2027 much less trade for the right to do that.
  21. I assume we see Megill today. It’s been a week.
  22. Rodriguez can provide more innings of below replacement level performance than Peguero and sometimes we need to eat innings 🤷‍♂️
  23. Kyle Tucker is worth 10 wins, I guess.
