  1. So, to clarify, post about trade rumors wouldn’t disappear they simply would be in the major league forum. I assume not everyone checks both forums regularly.
  2. Rhys objectively is without value or wins above replacement for now and Cortes is a very useful starting pitcher. Not sure Yankees go for it.
  3. Do we need or want Dejong for three years?
  4. Will they regularly sell out the minor league stadiums?
  5. We probably wouldn’t have beaten LAD but strangely the Dodgers weren’t THAT much better than Milwaukee in 2024. The Brewers had their bite at the apple again this year. It just didn’t work out. I much prefer great teams than equal mediocrity in other sports.
  6. I think we bought low on Rea, experienced better than expected results and probably are exiting at the right time.
  7. This kind of feels like the Tyrone Taylor, Adrian Houser trade, except in exchange for nothing. We didn’t really miss out on Taylor or Houser last year.
  8. It is entirely possible Colin Rea is below replacement level player in 2025. In which case, we wouldn’t want to pay him 5.5 million..
  9. I can’t imagine Rhys Hoskins feeling bad about exercising his contractual player option to maximize his benefit. Nor should Milwaukee feel bad about declining their contractual option on Williams.
  10. Good point, he had an ERA over 8.00 in September but otherwise was sub 4.00 most of 2024. He could certainly regress at age 35.
  11. He seemed to tire out at the end of 2024. If ever he would have trade value, maybe it’d be now. Otherwise, I’ll take a reliable sub 4.00 ERA starter.
  12. Does Rea possibly yield anything more than a lottery ticket? I can’t imagine the net present value that Rea gets in a trade would be worthwhile.
  13. I assume most fastballs will play differently when they are mostly used as a starter compared to a reliever, as was the case the previous two seasons for Hall. There also was probably something not quite right mechanically at the start of the year, too.
  14. I am excited to have several more years of Joey Ortiz and have confidence that DL Hall will be meaningfully above replacement level in 2025. Hall had two bad September outings against Arizona but was nearly perfect outside from that.
  15. Makes me wonder why we traded for him. I get that we were buying low, but the personality doesn’t seem to fit our clubhouse.
  16. Peralta went 6 IP allowing just a HR to Marte on March 29 against Mets. 8 K only 1 H and 1 BB. Brewers won 3-1. The Met with most success against Peralta is: Jesse Winker. 1.146 OPS in 19 career PA.
  17. Severino allowed 11 hits, 6 runs, 3 earned and 6 K in 5 IP against Milwaukee on March 30. Brewers won 7-6. Hoskins had three hits, including his first HR of the year. Bauers went 0-5 that game with 4 K but surprisingly still has 1.178 lifetime OPS against Severino.
  18. Not sure if this was discussed before, but would it be terrible manners for whoever wins game one toforfeit game two? This would keep both the Mets and the Braves a little bit more fresh, but absolutely be terrible sportsmanship for Arizona.
  19. What is the scenario where Hoskins decides to opt out?
  20. A lot can happen in Arizona and Atlanta, yet. And Milwaukee.
  21. Does that mean the Mets stay in Milwaukee and play the Brewers?
  22. Scenario: Braves lose; Mets win; D-backs lose Result: Braves, Mets clinch Wild Card spots; D-backs eliminated Would they need to play the games tomorrow to determine seeding?
  23. On track for six innings pitched, three earned runs.
