  1. Its a darn shame he won't start the ASG this season.
  2. Horse hockey. His entire explanation is one big fat freaking lie.
  3. Last night's game is a good example - he hit the ball on the nose a few times but the ball was caught or didn't get out of the infield.
  4. And whose fault is that? That's all that entire radio station talks about. Don't get me wrong, I love the Packers but when you're constantly talking about friggin' OTAs, I'm changing the station because that is not interesting at all. Not to go way off topic, but I find that 540 ESPN is the main culprit for really over-blowing the Packers talk (Jason Wilde being on constantly, etc). I think WSSP is a bit more rounded in their sports coverage. WDUZ in Green Bay is almost all Packer talk 365. They do talk a little about the Crew but not as much as the Pack during baseball season. What can be frustrating for me when I'm back home in FL is finding any info on the Crew on ESPN. I haven't looked yet this morning but I'll wager there isn't a peep about us on their MLB page on that site and hardly any mention to speak of on air on SC. The Cards get all the pub with those guys. The MLB Network does a better job reporting on the Brewers seeing we are actually leading the division.
  5. This was a pretty nice win even if we got some breaks there, especially after getting smoked in Miller Park yesterday. Let's hope we can get another W tonight.
  6. Gibson had been barking at the home plate ump for several innings and I just think he was frustrated and didn't give a rip about being tossed at that point in the game.
  7. It looked like there were a lot of Brewer fans there last night.
  8. Why do some folks treat him like he is a child molester but not others who have taken PEDs? He isn't the first to do so and lie about it.
  9. We are on national TV on Fox tonight. I hope they play better than they did last night. I almost wish we weren't. We never seem to play well when the lights are that bright.
  10. I think so. How many plays in the field are overturned? My biggest beef with umps is their lousy strike zones.
  11. I don't care what BA and Rock say I don't think Braun is 100% by any stretch.
  12. This IMO is unacceptable. I pray he never attempts to field another hit/bunt again as long as he's on our team.
  13. That was one of the more satisfying wins we've had in a while. Tonight's game against the Reds will be crucial seeing we are only home for these 3 games. It will be fun to see all of the former Brewer players too.
  14. Why because he looked horrible at the plate? So did a lot of other guys. are they going on the DL or maybe the pitching is just good Even tho he isn't hammering HRs he's still hitting around .300. I wonder if our expectations for him might be a tad unrealistic.
  15. I empathise with Sutton, I won't listen to a Brewers' broadcast on TV anymore, Rock's continual cliches drive me nuts, as does the lack of actual insight he provides. I live in FL and I'd rather listen to BA and Rock than some of the announcers from other teams! You guys don't know how lucky you are, frankly. The Pirate announcers are the worst. The Marlin announcers are great.
  16. They sure don't like Overbay though, for some reason. Probably because he played for the Yanks.
  17. Yeah, because if one thing is true about this years Brewers teams, it's that they're really bad in these close games! The Brewers have continually won games like this all year long. I don't think they've really blown many chances at scoring. They loaded them in the 1st on some really weak hits and then got some nice, timely hitting. And Peralta was outstanding as was Segura's D behind him. The fact that we've won a bunch of these types of games this year doesn't make it ok that we failed to execute when we had the chance to score runs. This could have been an easy win without silly baserunning and some simple offensive execution. (sac flies). Can we continue to win close games all year long? Sure, it's possible, but the more we put ourselves in, the more high stress innings our bullpen has to endure. The fact is that we left a lot of runs on the bases tonight and it very easily could have come back to bite us. It didn't, and that's great, but we still had chances to widen the lead and failed to do so. You don't think they blew chances to score? First inning...Bases loaded 1 out, no runs. Weak hits or not, the bases were loaded. Fifth inning, run in already...First and third, no outs. Wind up with no more runs in the inning. Seventh inning....Braun thrown out at the plate for the first out of an inning, then failure to score with man on third and one out again. Those are about as big of scoring opportunities as you can ask for. We had several chances to score runs without even needing a hit and we failed to do so. Brewers were 4-15 with RISP and left 10 men on base compared to scoring just 3 runs. My main problem is sending Braun there. He was out by a mile and we ran ourselves right out of an inning. Sending him made very little sense with no outs and Gomez and Ramirez coming up. It is maddening when we can't get a run in when we have a guy at 3rd and only one out.
  18. I buy greeting cards but I purchase them at Dollar General where all the cards cost only a buck.
  19. The first couple of innings the Mets fans weren't in their seats yet. They became very vocal - and god knows how vile - as the game wore on. Why do fans vilify Braun more than other guys who tested positive?
  20. Dear god... I'm glad I didn't see this one after all.
  21. Good grief, I didn't get to see the game (I was in Grand Chute, WI at the Timber Rattlers game). How many gopher balls did Marco give up this time?
  22. If any of you are going to the game tonight in Appleton my old Sweet Adeline chorus - Fox Valley - will be singing the National Anthem. I hope to be there too. Games there are a lot of fun. I haven't been there in a couple of years because I am only in WI for a few weeks in the summer.
