  1. Again, 15 games. We did not go from a rebuilding team to a contender over the course of 15 games. Plug in an ace and a solid #3 for what Davies and Milone (a decent Garza?) have been doing and we're a playoff team at this stage. The rebuild is done other than adding/subtracting here and there, now we sit and wait for it to mature.
  2. He's not Adrian Peterson but he could be the real deal in my opinion. I've seen comparisons to Forte, but I think he's faster.
  3. For all the (rightful) discussion of Milone Jimmy Nelson sure delivered an A+ himself last night. And Counsell gets an A+ himself for how he handled it. The answer is definitively a no until proven otherwise.
  4. It's April 18th and we're already debating trading a brand new Brewer. You guys would make good daytraders in the stock market. Can we at least enjoy being tied for the division lead and playing well for a month and then virtual trade some guys?
  5. Hard to argue with anything Stearns is doing when he's finding garbage like Broxton on the scrap heap. He's churning the mediocre talent in the hopes of catching a whopper. He's the anti Ted Thompson who almost never makes a move.
  6. That T was pure BS, Ibaka screaming like a "T-Rex" gets nothing but Giannis gets T'd up? C'mon. All in all that was a thorough beatdown. Hope these guys can stay focused because today felt like that epic Bulls series from a couple years back.
  7. Glad we have you running the show down in Milwaukee...can we give you a raise?!?
  8. Braun tipping over the ambulance the other night was the first semblance of anything interesting in some time. Admittedly I am not watching alot since probably last fall but I don't find it interesting to sit and watch people talk for 2 hours, one DQ match, and maybe 2 matches. Really the Divas were the only thing interesting to me, they actually had a storyline awhile back. Hearing YOU JUST MADE THE LIST! every week is weak.
  9. If there's one thing Ted Thompson is good at, it's drafting wide receivers. Corey Davis reeks of green and gold. I would bet he is wearing our colors if he's available.
  10. And 100% rightfully so. The Brewers should be one of the stingiest teams in baseball at starting arby clocks. Why on earth would anyone here ever want to waste a full year on a piece of the future in a year where contending is a fantasy. That kind of shortsightedness is ridiculously out of place in a small market. This is nothing new either. Can't believe this still has to be debated. If we really have David Price on our hands, I would expect Mark A to open his wallet accordingly. Since I doubt that is the case, get the kids up and start playing them. Nothing I hate more in baseball than the clock watching BS teams play.
  11. This pitching staff is an abomination. Davies who?
  12. The upside with Gennett is oozing...man I wish we had 8 of him out there every day during a REBUILD. Kind of like expecting Matthew Dellevadova or AJ Hawk to take us to the promised land. Villar put up more WAR in one season than Gennett has in nearly his whole career. And that was while being deficient. We have a slightly worse Robinson Cano if he figures it out.
  13. I disagree with pitchforks on a WR pick. Jordy is getting older and Cobb has been pretty spotty since getting paid. As we have seen on numerous occasions, if Jordy goes down we are fairly F'd. Ted actually does well on WR picks so by all means have at it IMO. There are bigger needs, but can't go wrong with more weapons on offense. Honestly i'd grab Mixon after a D and a WR and see how it works out...high risk very high reward, but if he's going to behave it's going to be in NE or GB. Could really care less what is in the past, anyone thinking NFL players are angels are fooling themselves. Unlike picking pac-10 DL/LB in the first round...........
  14. Get to thank Bucky (elite 8) and Oregon (final four) for locking mine up...took it by 1 point.
  15. You are honestly defending a 20 million a year deal for a 35 year old catcher as gospel? Look a few hundred miles to the west and see how a deal like that to Joe Mauer has completely DERAILED the Minnesota Twins franchise. And could have been doubly bad had they given Morneau a "lifetime" type of deal too.
  16. BAH GAWD....IT'S THE HARDYS!
  17. Milone is horrible. Baffling move.
  18. I haven't even been watching...the only thing interesting really is Enzo/Cass. I'll just get even madder if I watch and they shove more Roman Reigns down our throats with a victory over Taker.
  19. I think that was more frustration because (I think) there was something there...if only he could have not been so injury prone. TT knew that going in when he drafted him though...or at least I hope he did.
  20. Because most people don't know much about any other prospects. He's easy to target and write in a trade proposal and call it good. Please come up with a Wily Peralta to the Rangers trade proposal that the rest of us can debate. Since you seem to be one of the only ones on the World Wide Wide with knowledge of "other" prospects, I'm sure you can come up with a plausable trade proposal in short order. Let me help you how it goes... Peralta for Mendez ---> You're insane, why would they ever trade him? Peralta for Tavares ---> We don't need anymore ***** outfielders Peralta for Tejeda/Yrizarri ---> We have Arcia for years etc etc etc. Heaven forbid somebody suggest an underachieving arm for an underachieving 1B/3B which is a black hole for us and see if we might catch lightning in a bottle with a cornerstone player. Carry on
  21. Somebody has to pitch every 5th day. Just because you're a young arm doesn't mean you're ready for the bigs, just look at Jungmann. Guerra has all of 1 season to his credit at age 32 and everybody loves him. Garza is the nearly the same age except he has a track record.
  22. It's definitely not an ideal situation, but I don't get the vile hate towards Garza. Should we have signed him in hindsight? Probably not, but that's in the past and payroll is all of 57 million...who cares? Garza put up pretty much identical stats last year to Peralta and Nelson's entire big league track records yet we aren't giving up on them? Garza has a decade long track record...I would bet he has another year(s) of that before he completely implodes and is out of the league.
  23. If Peralta is somehow the ask on Gallo i'd make that trade yesterday...if for no other reason than to save us from Wily and his "enticing" potential that doesn't fulfill itself.
