  1. This umpire is a tool with 2-0 counts. So generous.
  2. If they get some more runs from the top of the order, why not let Suter go six? If he is pulled after five, then there may be a need to pinch-hit for whoever relieves him. I'd rather run him out for one ore frame, and then either let him hit or pinch-hit in the bottom of the sixth. After already serving up two meatballs? Forget that we have a deep bullpen. Not sure how many “more” is though.
  3. I hope not. That's a 5.40 ERA. Yah, no thanks. With the overall average play from our rotation we definitely need a really good 5th starter. We are playing over our heads right now. Our run differential is less than half that of the Cubs. Easy to say we are okay right now due to everything working right on a given day. Just wait till it isn’t that way.
  4. Or Suter throws 10mph and going through the line up multiple times creates meatball platters for hitters. Suter isn’t that good.
  5. Ahh there you go Suter. That is who I am familiar with.
  6. Took a strong and fast throw to get him. Any hesitation and Saladino would make it. Not a horrible send...but not exactly the best idea with the top of the order coming up.
  7. He plays in the OF though (LF) and plays a lot. I’d think any team can find more legit guys to put in LF. Not a big deal I’m the grand scheme.
  8. If they are going to get a starter it would be someone pretty good. Right now our entire rotation likes to flirt with a #3 standing or worse. That’s...pretty bad. We really could use Anderson to rebound back to how he was last year. If not we not only don’t have a #1, but we even lack a #2. Unless of course Guerra is that guy...but I have my reservations about that. Not saying we need a bunch of TOR guys, we don’t with an elite bullpen, but this rotation is not what we want.
  9. Or anyone else, including our other pitchers and trade targets, could blow out an arm and not pitch in the postseason. Could happen to anyone. Yes, Nelson is at a higher risk but all the medical information we have at this point is that the type of shoulder injury he sustained should not affect his long-term prognosis. Could take him an entire year to regain his control etc. even if he isn’t effected long term. This year is in the short term. It would be great if he could pitch a few times before the deadline...but not sure that luxury will happen. Regarding someone mentioning Lucroy, no thanks. He would likely just end up a cancer. He isn’t replacing Pina and Lucroy I can assure you would be livid to get traded to be the backup. Don’t want to deal with that. A 30+ year old catcher living on one year deals doesn’t need to be playing backup.
  10. Why is Nelson a for sure starter in the postseason? That a massive assumption. He has yet to play this season and we have no idea when he will coming off an injury to his throwing shoulder. Maybe he should throw a few pitches first. He could easily have a setback and never be seen this year. He could be a shell of last year and be some 4.50 ERA pitcher...would that honestly shock anyone? Is that for sure in the postseason rotation? I hope not.
  11. Freddy Peralta and Corbin Burnes are also irrelevant options for us. Peralta definitely will hit an innings limit rendering him useless and Corbin Burnes wil either hit an innings limit or just get gassed out. Peralta is way too shaky to put on a competitive roster minus emergency starts and Burnes has zero MLB experience. Neither option is possible or a good idea.
  12. Disclaimer: I picked one player for each (except oPOY because that really is such an even race). One could always probably make an argument for someone else, but that just gets messy. I think all these guys get their awards pretty easily though. For the All Stars I took who should make it today. So I put on Jeffress who definitely deserves it and would probably get the nod. If not..big snub. Christian Yelich wouldn’t make it...which is a safe bet because he has never made it with similar offensive stats.
  13. 2018 Brewers Season Predictions 1/3 UPDATE Win-Loss Record: 102-60 Playoffs (Yes, No): Yes (#1 seed in NL) Highest Playoff Level Achieved: NLDS (Min.) All Star Game Representative(s): Cain, Shaw, Aguilar, Hader, Jeffress Offensive Player of the Year: Cain/Shaw/Aguilar Pitcher of the Year: Hader Most Surprising Player: Aguilar Most Disappointing Player: Arcia
  14. Is there any proof getting a bad return in one trade makes you not want to deal with that team again? I’ve got to be honest that makes no sense and I’m not paid a penny to be a GM. You are telling me a million dollar GM is dumber than me? The Marlins are the ones who wanted those players!!!
  15. Saw an article about Tebow who is still kicking it in MiLB baseball. The New York Mets are now wasting a spot on their AA team for Tebow. His strikeout rate is rough, but has 4 homers along with a .325 OBP/.710 OPS. Honestly it looks like he might just be passable enough to get a MLB callup someday if the Mets aren't competing in September. He doesn't deserve it by potential and stats, but the attraction of him would probably be nice. I give him credit...he has lasted and done a lot better than I was thinking.
  16. Hader wasn’t available and they didn’t want to pitch Jeffress two innings. Not that surprising the third best guy (though shaky late) to pitch.
  17. All we need is the next rocket off the bat on the ground to someone.
  18. Get him out. 4 pitch walks in the 9th are automatic get outta there’s after already giving up a bomb.
