  1. Didn't he swing at a pitch that almost hit him in the head a couple weeks ago? Yes he did...it was pretty sad.
  2. In what wild world is Davies in the rotation over Chacin? Since his slump to start the year Chacin has been fantastic. That being said I have wanted Hamels since the Phillies put him on the block years ago. Someone mentioned the walk rate, but it is the same as his rate in 2016. His K rate has rebounded which I find most important considering the struggles he had last year when it was so low.
  3. You could tell as soon as he went 2-0 to Shaw after walking Perez, this guy ain't hitting the zone 3 times, Shaw is going to win this if he just stands there. Really he didn't even throw 1, got a call. He got the classic “Congratulations for finally getting it close to the strike zone” call you give little leaguers.
  4. Getting to grounders to his sides has improved so much. He used to be so bad stopping balls.
  5. I’d talk smack about Braun, but he will obviously come through here so we forget how much he sucks for the next two weeks cause of that one big hit.
  6. Why do we even have a specified closer? I said it when he came back and they labeled him the closer...why? Why does he sit for days waiting for that one opportunity? Just pitch the best dude in the pen. Jeez.
  7. Yeah, thought the same exact thing. I expected a close play at home and all we get is a limp noodle throw. disappointing. I was a little excited since it was so shallow...ended up so inaccurate.
  8. I mean why not go to Jeffress after Knebel was lost two batters straight...then three batters to lose the lead...how many does it take?
  9. That doesn’t seem like something Craig Counsell would do...but it did bring up a total non homerun threat who may be the worst player in baseball. Maybe more than than the former.
  10. Jose Bautista and Jose Reyes. I remember when that would give you two of the most dynamic players in the entire game. Now, garbage retreads.... Welp, now I feel old.
  11. Brett Phillips is hitting just fine in AAA.
  12. It would be hard to do a long term deal with him. Unless it is just one of those deals to cover the arby years. As it stands he will hit FA at 31 which really isn’t too bad. Trying to tack on two years would be hard since it would put him into FA at a bad age.
  13. Yeah Shaw hasn't been the regression candidate everyone expected. I doubt he signs with Milwaukee long term. He and his agent made some nasty comments about the Brewers front office this winter after the Brewers chose to "renew" his contract. Money talks...so does having a daughter with a rather unfortunate health condition that will effect her for life. Travis Shaw isn’t going to hold a petty grudge if the numbers match.
